Dear California Healing Arts College,

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to formally request permission to re-enter and

continue my education following my temporary leave of absence due to my pregnancy. The

primary reason for my absence was financial aid. I was enrolled at Harbor College and took a

few classes before deciding that community college was not the best option for me to pursue a

career in the medical field . During my time there, I received financial aid, but I later discovered

CHAC and liked it. I enrolled, completed and passed two classes, and eventually fell in love with

the school. However, the CHAC financial aid office informed me that I had to repay the money

that Harbor College had given me, and I couldn't return until I had done so. Although I had

planned to return right after paying, I felt unprepared to do so after finding out I was pregnant. I

was informed throughout my pregnancy that I was anemic. I felt that I couldn't devote my whole

focus to school during this time since I was frequently lightheaded and dizzy from my anemia

and frequently tired and sleepy throughout my pregnancy. so I decided to temporarily stop

attending school. I did not have the necessary arrangements for my daughter's childcare after

giving birth in July, but now that I have a childcare option, I can concentrate on going back to

school. I understand that my absence could have caused some inconvenience, and I'm determined

to make up lost time and start my academic career again. I am more than willing to work with

my teachers and school counselors to create a plan that will help me ensure I stay on track to
complete my courses successfully. To make my re-entry easier, I would be more than willing to

fulfill any special criteria or documentation that may be necessary. I am aware that it has been a

while since I took my two classes at CHAC, but I am willing to start over if I am unable to

receive those credits towards my re-entry. I am not sure how that works or whether I will receive

those credits, but I would appreciate the help in reimbursing them. If not, as I mentioned, I am

more than willing to restart and retake those two classes. I know that I completed two classes

before I took my leave at CHAC and I passed both of them. I appreciate you giving my request

some thought. I'm excited for your affirmative answer and the chance to study further at

California Healing Arts.

Sincerely,

Angelina Sanchez
