1. Introduction
In this project, we will study the calculation of prestressed concrete by using software
program ADAPT Builder 2019.
In this case, we have chosen a hotel building which is located in Sihanouk vile as an
architectural to study.
To study this, we will follow the following procedures:
▪ Material Properties
▪ Load on structure
▪ Structure modeling
▪ Result
After we finished the study, we will provide some detailing plans which related to the
study.

ID Label F'c Unit Weight Type Ec Creep Fiber Fiber

MPa kg/m3 MPa
1 Concrete 30.00 2400.00 Normal 27528 2.00

F'c = strength at 28 days

Ec = modulus of elasticity at 28 days

2.2 Tendon:

fpu = ultimate stress

fpy = yield stress
Eps = modulus of elasticity

3. Load on structure
3.1 Dead load
▪ Self-weight: self-weight of structure is automatically calculated by its own
software.
▪ SDL (floor finishing+ MEP): 1.6 kN/m2
▪ Partition wall 10:
Hollow brick 10: 80mm x 16kN/m2
Mortar: 40mm x 23kN/m2
Story height: 3.6m
Slab thickness: 250mm
Partition wall: ((16x0.08) +(23x0.04)) x (3.6-0.25)) = 7.414kN/m
3.2 Live load
Story function: a building is in category A (residential building).
▪ Live load: 2kN/m2

3.3 Load combination

▪ SLS:

Initial load: 1 SW + 1.15 Pi
Sustained load: 1 DL + 0.3 LL + 1 Pi
Total load: 1 DL + 1 LL + 1 Pi
ii. Deflection:
Sustained load: 1 DL + 0.3 LL + 1 Pi
Long-term: 3 x sustained load
