ABSTRACT:
This research examines the impact of the skipping of
breakfast on academic performance of Grade 10 section
Achilles. The common reasons why grade 10 section Achilles
skip on breakfast are; not having enough time to spend their
extra time in being bed, don’t feel hungry in the morning, and
no cost of buying breakfast food. By which these habits can
cause negative impacts like frequent fainting costing their
academic performance to fail.

INTRODUCTION:
Breakfast is the first meal of the day especially when
taken in the morning. Having breakfast makes stronger immunity
to what circumstances and situation we can go through.
However, students gets busy by time to time that they somehow
forget the very crucial part that helps them support their
body and mind for learning throughout the day especially to
those Grade 10 section Achilles in Hibubullao National
Highschool (HNHS).This study explores the relationship between
skipping breakfast in Grade 10 section Achilles students’
academic success, aiming to determine the reasons why they
skip breakfast and what solutions can stop this issue.
RESEARCH QUESTIONS:
1.How does skipping breakfast affect the academic
performance of Grade 10 Section Achilles students at
Hibubullao National High School?
2.What are the common reasons why Grade 10 Section Achilles
students skip breakfast?
3.What are the possible effects of skipping breakfast on
students’ concentration and cognitive abilities in class?
4.How often do Grade 10 Section Achilles students skip
breakfast, and what patterns can be observed?
5.What strategies or interventions can be implemented to
encourage students to eat breakfast regularly?
6.Is there a significant difference in academic performance
between students who eat breakfast and those who skip it?
7.What types of breakfast foods contribute best to students’
academic performance and overall well-being?
8.How do students perceive the importance of breakfast in
relation to their learning and daily activities?

METHOD:
Research Questions;
1. Do you skip your breakfast more often?
2. What are the common reasons why you’re skipping
breakfast?
3. Does skipping breakfast helps you when it comes to
your study habit and studies?
4. What type of breakfast contribute the best to you? In
your academic performance?
5. What problems do you experience when you skip
breakfast?
This study employs a mixed - method approach, including
statistical analysis and interviews. The questions above
examines the participants experiences about the topic or
issue.
Participants:
By using sampling method approach, we gathered
information and data’s from 20 students of Grade 10 section
Achilles out of 31.In percentage data, 65% of all Grade 10
section Achilles students have participated.
Data Collection:
Collection of data in this study employs mixed – method
approach including statistical analysis and interviews to
students about the topic. Personal interviews are taken with
the cooperation and permission of students. Statistical
analysis are also taken in place.
Analysis Method:
Correlation analysis is used between skipping breakfast
and health issues that affects the academic performance of
students.
