ABSTRACT
The main purpose of the study is to determine how frequent and useful the
classroom discipline strategies used by Elementary Teachers. This study employed
descriptive method of research to assess the frequency and usefulness of classroom
discipline strategies of elementary schools in Moalboal District as basis for an action
plan. Conducted in School Year 2019-2020, it utilized an adopted questionnaire in
gathering data. Using Percentage, Weighted Mean and Pearson-Product Correlation
Coefficient. Respondents were mostly 40-49 years old composed of 20 or 38 percent
and majority of them were females composed of 46 or 88 percent. A lot of them were
Bachelors degree with masteral units composed of 34 or 65 percent. While the years
they are in service, most of them were 11-20 years composed of 18 or 35 percent.
About their position a lot of them were teacher 3 composed of 19 or 36 percent and
from the school head were school principal 1 composed of 2 or 67 percent. Talking
about the assessment of classroom discipline, With regards to frequency from the
teachers, the average rating obtain is 3.05 which range belong to Often. From the
school head, the average rating obtain is 3.33 which range belongs to Always. This
implies that School Head have higher perception on the usage of the strategies. In
dealing with usefulness with the same classroom discipline strategies. With regards to
usefulness from the teachers, the average rating obtain is 3.21 which range belong to
Useful. Talking about usefulness again from the school head, the average rating obtain
is 3.17 which range belongs to Useful. It is suggested that the proposed action plan be
implemented.
