I: Tech of Tomorrow Project Plan

• Project Overview

Tech for Tomorrow is a series of youth-oriented, hands-on workshops to teach the children
from your community computer programming skills. The goal is to encourage interest in
technology and help participants gain skills that will not only boost their coding proficiency
but also prepare them for bright futures.

• Objectives

Provide an understanding of basic programming concepts to participants.

Deliver projects and enable hands-on experience.

Get kids excited about tech and the possibilities of a career in one of those fields.

Build a community spirit and cooperative attitudes among players.

• Target Audience

Ages 12-18 for youth in our community.

No programming experience is needed

• Project Structure
1. Workshop Series

Duration: 8 weeks

Frequency: 2 hours weekly

Where: Your local community center or school computer lab

2. Curriculum Overview

Week 1: Programming Basics

Coding essentials and tech literacy.

Week 2: Learning About Python Basics

Syntax, Variables & Data Types.

Week 3: Control Structures

Python Programs on Conditionals and Loops

Week 4: A Little Game

Building a simple game with Python libraries.


JavaScript Week 5:DOMContentLoaded Event

JavaScript Fundamentals In Web Development

Week 06 — A Personal Website

HTML, CSS and JS essentials.

Week 7: Advanced Project Work

Participants select a project (game or website).

Last Week : Week 8 — Presentation and Coding Competition

Participants present their work and compete for prizes.

• Resources Needed

Computers — access a room with computers and internet

Software: programming environments and text editors (e.g., Python).

Supplies:Printed Handouts, Project In,structions and Additional Learning Resources.

Mentors- Working with the local tech professionals to guide and motivate these
participants.
• Budget Estimate

Computer Lab Rental: $200

Materials Printing: $50

Promotional Materials: $100

Refreshments $150 (for workshop sessions)

Total Estimated Budget: $700

• Marketing Strategy

Flyers: Hand out at schools, community centers, and places around town.

Use of Social Media: Reach out with the help community groups, local platforms.

Encourage participants to invite friends and family via word of mouth.

Participant feedback: free from the participant onboarding surveys to be used at end of
each workshop for improvement.

Tech for Tomorrow aims to arm pupils with the tools and confidence needed to navigate
their pathway successfully through tech. We teach by doing and engage students at a
foundational level to encourage them towards the building their future in innovation.
