Name of the Health centre - Vishwaraj Hospital Loni Pune
A) Questions you asked during the interview. Discuss answers?
❖ During the visit to Vishwaraj Hospital, our group asked the following questions
to healthcare staff and management:
❖ How does health education impact the livelihood opportunities of patients and
their families?
➢ Answer: Health education teaches patients and their families the value
of preventive care, hygiene, and management of chronic diseases. For
instance, a person who knows how to manage diabetes is less likely to
suffer from complications and can continue working regularly and cut
down on medical costs.
❖ What are the most common challenges that the hospital faces in providing
health education?
➢ Answer: The staff pointed out the major issues of unawareness, cultural
taboos, language barriers, and financial constraints as being faced by
the patients.
❖ What steps has the hospital taken to create awareness of new health policies
and innovations?
➢ Answer: Vishwaraj Hospital conducts regular health camps, seminars,
and awareness drives in local communities. They also use social media
platforms and pamphlets in regional languages to reach a wider
audience.
❖ What role can technology play in overcoming the challenges in health
education?
➢ Answer: Staff emphasized the importance of telemedicine, mobile health
apps, and digital platforms to provide accessible health education,
especially in remote areas.
B) What contributions has the social leader/ Entrepreneur made? Which one do
you like the most? Why?
❖ Vishwaraj Hospital has been a pioneer in community health education under
the leadership of its director. Contributions made during our interaction were as
follows:
❖ Community Outreach Programs: Organize regular health camps and
screenings in rural areas to detect and prevent diseases early.
➢ Cheap Healthcare Programs: Subsidized medicines to the economically
weaker sections of the society.
➢ Telemedicine Services: Expanding Health Access Through Online
Consultations and Follow-ups.
❖ Favorite Contribution and Why:
➢ We found the telemedicine initiative particularly inspiring. This
telemedicine initiative enables patients from remote areas to see
specialists without having to travel long distances, saving time and
money. This innovation is evidence of how technology can bridge the
gap in healthcare and benefit livelihoods.
➢
C) Would you like to be a social leader/Entrepreneur? .Why? / Why not?
❖ The amount of impact possible can drive someone to be more of a social
entrepreneur; the work observed at Vishwaraj Hospital was meaningful and
was, in fact, based on innovative as well as empathic thinking about dealing
with severe social issues in society. Hence, the very opportunity of improving
healthcare availability, mainly for the undeserved masses, aligns precisely with
passion areas of technology with social implications
❖ Alternatively, other members expressed that it was quite difficult and
challenging to keep such initiatives running continuously, which requires
funding, operational challenges, and constant motivation.
D) What have you learnt from the experience?
❖ This visit taught us precious lessons:
❖ The Power of Awareness: Health education is a cornerstone for improving both
individual well-being and community productivity.
❖ Collaboration is Key: To address complex social issues, the most important thing is
collaboration between healthcare providers, policymakers, and technologists.
❖ Technology in Healthcare: Telemedicine, health apps, and so forth, can revolutionize
accessibility to quality care.
❖ Empathy in Practice: The hospital staff showed commitment to patient welfare and
therefore established the importance of compassion at work.
