A Day at the Beach

Last Saturday, Jake, Olivia, Lucas, and Sophia went to the beach. The sun was hot, and the
waves moved gently. They were all excited to have fun.

As soon as they arrived, Olivia and Sophia ran to the water to swim. Jake and Lucas put down
the beach towels. Jake looked around and felt ________________________ because he forgot
his sunscreen. "Don't worry," said Lucas. "I have an extra one!"

After swimming, the friends lay on their towels and listened to the waves. The warm sun and
soft wind made them feel ________________________ and calm.

Later, Sophia wanted to build a sandcastle, but Lucas did not want to. He crossed his arms
and said, "That sounds ________________________ . I want to do something more fun."

Instead, they played volleyball. They laughed and smiled as they hit the ball. Everyone felt
________________________ because they were having a great time.

When the sun started to go down, it was time to go home. Olivia looked at the ocean and felt
________________________ because she didn’t want to leave. "Let’s come back next weekend!"
she said, and everyone agreed.
