WHAT: Alleged Robbery with Homicide
WHERE: Brgy. Dolowog, Alfonso Lista, Ifugao
Who/VICTIM: Joannaliza Perez, 22 years old,single and a resident of Brgy. Dolowog, Alfonso
Lista, Ifugao
Suspect: Fidel Edchamag, 30 years old, single, jobless and a resident of Brgy. Sta. Maria,
Alfonso Lista, Ifugao
Witness: Noverlyn Dalit, 22 years old, single, a resident of Brgy. Dolowog, Alfonso Lista,
Ifugao
NARRATIVE/HOW:
At About 3:00 o’clock PM of December 12, 2024 Ms. Annaliza Perez, victims sister
personally appeared to this office to report the above-cited incident. Immediately, personnel of
this office led by PEMS ROMNICK HILARIO and two others under the direct supervision of
PCAPT. JOSEPH BUSTAMANTE-COP were dispatched to verify the veracity of the said report.
Initial investigation conducted disclosed that according to the witness, Noverlyn Dalit, she was
then going home from her work when she saw a man coming out of the victim’s house in a hurry
and noticed that his hand was bloody, driven by curiosity she went to the victim’s house and
discovered that the victim, Joannaliza Perez was lying in upward position covered with blood
stains. That upon the discovery, she called and informed the victim’s sister and immediately
brought the victim to the nearest hospital for medication but latter pronounced dead by attending
physician Dr. Beta R [Link] during the course of investigation revealed to the discovery of
the missing one (1) HP laptop amounting to Php 22,000.00, a cash amounting to P15,000.00, an
Oppo smartphone worth P10,000.00 and other pertinent documents. That this office immediately
requested for the assistance of SOCO for technical aspect of investigation at the crime scene.
Interview conducted to a witness Ms. Noverlyn Dalit, 22 years old, single and a resident of the
same place stated that at around 2.00 PM she saw Mr. Fidel Edchamag exited through the back
door of the house with a bloody hand and shirt running towards the cornfields. That during the
follow-up operation personnel of this office and personnels manage to arrest the suspect named
Fidel Edchamag, 30 years old, single, jobless and a resident of Brgy. Sta. Maria, Alfonso Lista,
Ifugao. Apprehended suspect was apprised of his Constitutional Rights and Anti-Torture
Warning then subsequently brought to this Office.
A case for Robery with Homicide under Article 294 paragraph 1 of the Revised Penal
Code, has already filed at Provincial Prosecution Office at Alfonso Lista, Ifugao thru inquest
proceeding under NPS Docket No. IV-04-INQ-21A-00371
dated December 14, 2024 against the suspect Fidel Edchamag and duly signed by Anabelle C.
Busine- Assistant Provincial Prosecutor, Alfonso Lista, Ifugao.
