Background information

CeloFact is a medium-sized manufacturing company based in Germany.

The company is specialized in the production of paper and packaging


solutions based on recycled materials. Innovation is at the core of CeloFact
and as pioneers in their market they are moving towards a more efficient
and optimized supply chain.

Heavily impacted by the ongoing hike in prices and supply chain shortages
fuelled by the challenges the world is facing, CeloFact wants to ensure they
are working efficiently throughout their value chain to minimize disruption of
their business during the looming recession.

In this journey they have contacted Celonis to help them reveal and fix the
main inefficiencies that are impacting the business the most and stopping
them from reaching this objective.

High number of time consuming, manual activities leading to human errors and increasing number of
interactions with the vendor.

High number of purchase orders that do not adhere to contracts previously agreed with the vendors and a low
utilisation of the catalogue of suppliers available. With inflation hitting main material prices, the impact of having
a low control on spend is highly impacting the company’s performance.

High number of stock-outs due to late or partial deliveries by vendors. No visibility on which vendors are mostly
affected.

Lack of communication and data sharing between teams making it harder for employees to identify reasons for
blocked purchase orders and even harder to unblock them.
