2. BACKGROUND:
- On 24 November 2018, during PRRD’s visit to the WIA personnel at
‘CNGH, WESTMINCOM, AFP his attention was caught by minor siblings under the
care of relatives since both parents who are enlisted in the Philippine Marine Corps.
(PMC) ara assigned in Luzon. As instructed, the AFP shall study the altemate
deployment of military couptes in order to take care of their child/children.
3. - PURPOSE:
This directive is issued to implement the altemate deployment of
ry couples to ensure that at least one (1) parent is assigned near their
children in order, to provide parental supervision and care.
4, POLICIES/GUIDELINES:
a. . As a general policy, military personnel shall submit to the
cvisting AFP regulations and rules of discipline that requires them to be placed or
ined to units/offices/post on call, thus leaving their families behind.
b. Inline with the thrust of the President, the AFP recognizes th
presence of both parents, which is critical for the success and development of a child

c. In view thereof, if both husband and wife are military personnel,
at least one of the parent shall be assigned/attached/posted to units/offices/posts
close enough to give them time to rear their child/children.

Service Ones shall ensure that at least, one of the parent shall be assigned to units
near the place where the child/children reside.
