3.INTRODUCTION
T-DASC is a repeater of the weight value coming from 1 or more load cells. It is also possible to connect
via serial communication due instruments, so that it is possible to visualize the sum of the weighs,
otherwise it is possible to connect the instrument to an external panel, that will constantly receive the
detected weigh’s values.
4. DISPLAY
Switching on, the screen will display many information as you can see here below:
1 2 3 4
5 6 7
1. Unit of measure: if the weight has already been calibrated, the chosen unit of measure between
grams (Gr), kilograms (Kg), tons (Tn) and pound (Lb) will be displayed.
2. Displaying weight/peak: if the related function has been enabled inside the menu, in this location
the letter P will be displayed in case of peak weight, or an empty space in case of normal weight.
3. Indication of stable weight: in case the parameters of stable weight have been set (range and
time), in this position the symbol >< will be displayed when reaching it. If not, an empty space will be
shown.
4. Load cell value: the shown value can already be considered a weight value (the calibration has
already been done) or simply the input points from the load cell.
5. Indication of gross weight/net/ sum: in this position a word is shown indicating the gross
weight (GRS) or net (NET) of the hopper. If the the “in pair with another machine” operating mode
has been selected and the specific key has been pressed, the sum of the two weights (of the two
machines) will be shown (SUM).
6. Alerts status: in this position it will be possible to visualize the alerts coming from the instrument:
if an upper limit of maximum weight has been set (overflow), when overcoming it the writing OVF will
appaer. If the machine is working in couple with another one and the serial communication fails, the
writing SER will appear. If there are both alerts, the message O/S will be shown;
7. Outputs status: in this position is possible to visualize the status of the instrument output: if weight
thresholds values have been set so that it is possible to control the relays, the machine will show a
different symbol depending on their status. When the relay is de-energized (upper limit not exceeded
or not set), a blank space will appear. When exceeding the upper limit (relay energized), next to the

number representing the enabled output, an asterisk will be shown. If the overflow limit has been set
and exceeded, next to each output number an X will appear and all relays will be disabled.
If any kind of key has been pressed for at least 1 minute, the instrument will show the collected weight,
together with the symbol and the unit of measure, on both lines of display, as shown below:
In this mode, the elements at point n. 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 (as shown before) are not visualized. In order to go
back to the complete visualization mode, press any key of the instrument.
In this display mode, the 4 keys (left to right) have these functions:
• Key F1: switch between gross and net weight, so that it is possible to have a temporary tare. Pressing
this key (can be done during normal weighing) the zeroing of the display can be obtained; from now on
the weight is the one of the material on the pan. Press again the key in order to cancel the manual tare
done before and go back to the total value of the whole material laying on the pan of the scale.
• Key F2: switch between weight and peak (if the function has been enabled);
• Key F3: disabled key. However, if software 1 has been selected, this key alternates the display
between the instrument's own weight and the sum of the weights of the two coupled machines;
• Key F4: (simple pressure) Direct access to set menu: ( ccesso diretto al menù di impostazione dei
set; (longer pressure for at least 3 seconds) access to main menu.

5. ENTERING THE PASSWORD
In order to access the configuration mode and calibration, you have to identify the password related to
the section you are interested in. Once you want to access a section protected by password, the following
writing will be shown:
Pressing key F3, you can enter a figure of the password (the key scrolls all values between 0 and 9). If
the password is composed by more figures, pressing F1 the cursor will move one position to the left, so
that you will be able to insert the following figure. It is possible to go back and modify the previously
added figures by pressing F2: by doing this the cursor will move one position to the right, and will let
you correct any kind of mistake. In order to confirm the added value press key F4.
If the inserted value it is not correct, you will go back to the weight screen.

to enter a passoword, following the procedure described in section 5: “Entering the password”.
At this level of the menu, pressing F1 (esc) brings you back to weight screen.
Generally speaking, inside all menu pages, the keys F1, F2, F3, F4 assume the navigation keys
function, letting you operate these operations:
F1 = goes back to the menu of the previous level.
F2 = goes to next menu al the same level.
F3 = disabled key.
F4 = goes to the menu of the sublevel/enter to insert the data.
INSERT DATA MODE
F1 = moves the cursor to the figure on the left.
F2 = moves the cursor to the figure on the right.

7. GENERAL PARAMETERS (PASSWORD 2010)
To access this section, where you can find all parameters related to the general functioning of the
machine, so as the weight display mode, you have to use the code 1.
7.1 DECIMALS
In this page you can insert the numbers of decimals about the visualization of the weight. The comma
only modifies the weight visualization mode, but does not affect the inner calculations of the
instrument. You can set these values: 0, 1, 2, 3.
F3 and F4 are used to insert data
F1,F2 = disabled.
F3 = increases one unity the blinking figure (from 0 to 9).
F4 = confirms the inserted value, exit the menu and goes back to the menu of the upper level.
N.B. inside te menu you can set any value between 0 and 9. If the added value is higher
than 3, when confirming the instrument goes back to the maximum allowed.
7.2 DIVISIONS
In this page you can set a value from 1 to 100, which is the minimum weight variation considered by
the instrument.
F1, F2, F3 and F4 can work in DATA INSERTING MODE.

In order to obtain the minimum discriminated weight, you have to relate the maximum capacity of the
load cell with the available divisions, using the following formula (in the example we consider 10.000
divisions):
maximum capacity of the load cell
minimum discriminated load = -----------------------------------------------------
divisions discriminated by instrument
So that, using a 1.000 kilos load cell we will have:
1.000 Kg
minimum discriminated weight = --------------- = 0,1 Kg
10.000 div.
Using 2 1.000 kilos cells (max capacity 2.000 Kg) we will have:
2.000 Kg
minimum discriminated weight = --------------- = 0,2 Kg
10.000 div.
Using 3 1.000 kilos cells (total capacity 3.000 Kg) we will have:
3.000 Kg
minimum discriminated weight = --------------- = 0,3 Kg
10.000 div.
Using 4 1.000 kilos cells (total capacity 4.000 Kg) we’ll have:
4.000 Kg
minimum discriminated weight = --------------- = 0,4 Kg
10.000 div.
This data can be set assigning the proper values to the parameter that indicates the value for the
division: the function allows us to match the reading on the instrument to the real unit of measure.
Just remember that choosing the minimum unit you have to consider these factors:
a) the minimum assignable value (obtained as above);
b) actual precision needs (minor is the unit, greater is the instrument precision);
c) mechanic applications that do not allow to have a stable load on the cells, obliging to reduce the
instrument precision.
Here you can find some examples about the variations on display when varying the unit of measure.

7.3 ADDRESS
As mentioned before, it is possible to operate the instrument together with another one, so that it will
be possible to visualize the sum of the weights of the 2 machines. In this case you have to set a value
from 0 to 255, representing the address of the scale, so that a correct serial communication between
the 2 instruments will be allowed.
F1, F2, F3 ed F4 now working in INSERTING DATA MODE.
N.B. If using the software type 1, the address 1 indicates the master equipment, 2 the
slave one. All other addressed are considered incorrect.
7.4 WEIGHTS AVERAGE
This parameter is used in order to stabilized the weight: the readings are summed up and then
divided by a number of times equal to the inserted value. You can add values between 1 and 100.
F1, F2, F3 and F4 work in INSERTING DATA MODE.
N.B. Consider that more averages are calculated by the scale more stable will the weight
be; but, at the same time, the display will reach more slowly the weight loaded on the
hopper.
7.5 PEAK
This parameter will give you the chance to insert (On) or not (Off) the peak function by pressing F2.
When this function is enabled the visualized weight will vary only if its actual value exeeds the
maximum previously reached. If not you will keep on visualizing the previous maximum value.
F3 and F4 are used for data inserting
F1,F2 = disabled.
F3 = ciclying between available values
F4 = confirms the inserted value, exits menu and goes back to menu of upper level.
N.B. When the machine is started, the parameter setting is maintained: if the peak was
enabled before restarting, it will be immediately insertable.
7.6 UNIT OF MEASURE
This parameter allows you to have an indication about the unit of measure that you want to use to
express the weight visualized by the instrument. The chosen value, selectable between Gr (grams), Kg
(kilogramms), Ton (tons) e Lb (pounds), has a purely indicative value and does not interfere with the
weight calculations done by the instrument.
F3 and F4 are used for inserting the data
F1,F2 = disabled.
F3 = ciclying between available values.
F4 = confirms the inserted value, exits menu and goes back to menu of upper level.
7.7 LANGUAGE
This parameter allows you to change language choosing between italian (Ita) and English (Eng).
F3 andF4 are used for inserting data

F1,F2 = disabled.
F3 = ciclying between available values.
F4 = confirms the inserted value, exits menu and goes back to menu of upper level.
7.8 SOFTWARE
It is possible to choose the functioning mode of the instrument between 3 different alternatives. Each
configuration mode of the software, modifies the instrument operating and gives you more
functionalities that are not available in others. We suggest you to access this function only
with the supervision of a specialized technician.
F3 and F4 are used for data inserting
F1,F2 = disabled.
F3 = ciclying between available values.
F4 = confirms the inserted value, exits menu and goes back to menu of upper level.
Modalità di funzionamento dell’apparecchiatura:
0 = stand-alone functioning (SLAVE MODBUS). The instrument operates as a simple weight
indicator.
1 = SUM OF THE WEIGHTS. The address of machine 1 corresponds to master equipment, number
2 corresponds to the slave one. In this mode it is possible to connect 2 machines and, if necessary, it is
possible to switch on one of this machine, the weight visualization of the sum of collected weights.
2 = WEIGHT REPEATING ON AN EXTERNAL PANEL. In this mode it is possible to connect
an optional panel, to which it will constantly be sent the weight value collected by the instrument.
7.9 RELAY OPERATION
It is possible to select two different operating modes for the relays that control the machine's outputs:
NORMALLY CLOSED or NORMALLY OPEN. If the first option is chosen, in normal conditions the relays
are all energized and the machine outputs active. If instead the second option is chosen, the behavior is
exactly the opposite: in normal conditions the relays are all de-energized and the machine outputs are
disabled.
Keys F3 and F4 are used for data entry
F1, F2 = disabled.
F3 = cycle through the available values.
F4 = confirms the entered value, exits the current menu and returns to the corresponding higher level
menu.

8. MANUAL CALIBRATION OF THE CELL (PASSWORD 2020)
In order to access this section, you have to use code 2.
The parameters of Manual Calibration menu are used in order to calibrate implants where you can
easily load and unload the weight from the scale. If this operation is not possible, use the menu Digital
calibration of the cell.
Before the calibration of the empty scale and the weight calibration, we suggest you to set the
parameters of the analog/digital converter, so that it will be possible to correctly define the range
between the signal of the cell and the weight value that will be visualized and managed by the
instrument.
8.1 MANUAL CALIBRATION
The calibration of the empty scale it is useful in order to cancel the value of the tare, composed of the
weight of the mechanical structures gravitating towards the load cells. For example, a scale’s tare is the
plate; regarding the hanging load cell, the tare is the hook plus the underlying hopper. For
what regards the silo, the tare is the container silo and the structure holding it. The calibration should
be done without any kind of material loaded on the weighing system. If the scale has never been
calibrated, on the second line of the display will appear Punti followed by the relative value; if the
calibration has already been done, a value of the weight will appear, together with the wording Peso.
Press at the beginning F4 in order to consider the displayed value as tare. The display will reset. Press
F4 again in order to go back to upper menu.
8.2 MANUAL SPAN
The calibration allows you to match the weight values displayed with the exact weight of the material
weighing on the load cells (excluding the tare).
In order to proceed with this operation, a sample weight is needed and it should be at least 60% of the
full scale value. For example: F.S. of 100 kilos, the sample weight should be between 60 and 100 kilos.
The keys F1, F2, F3 and F4 work in DATA INPUT MODE.
As tare has been reset, the scale can be loaded with a sample weight known and insert its value.
9. DIGITAL CALIBRATION OF THE CELL (PASSWORD 2030)
In order to access this section, where you can find all parameters needed for theorical calibration of the
scale, you need the code 2030.
By using these parameters it is possible to calibrate the scale without loading/unloading the hopper,
but you need to know the load cell’s gain in mV/V, the F.S. value you want to reach and the fixed tare
of the weighted structure. The digital calibration is useful for very big systems, where silo’s loading and
unloading operations would required too much time, or in case of already operating plants where it is
not possible to move the silo’s content in order to define the tare and F.S.
9.1 MILLIVOLT LOAD CELL
This parameter allows you to define e proportion between the gain value of the load cell used for the
first calibration in laboratory and the one of the load cell (or load cells) present in the field. Setting this
parameter on the actual gain value of the available load cells, the instrument can make the necessary

corrections so that it is possible to have a signal corresponding to the one detected in laboratory,
considering the same weight loaded on the scale.
The keys F1, F2, F3 and F4 work in DATA ENTRY MODE.
The display will show the 5 figures value related to the gain of the load cell. The standard value used
during the first calibration in laboratory is 2 mV/V, so during the first access the display will show
20000 in this menu, with a coma after the first figure on the left. Enter the value with 5 figures of the
gain of the load cell in the field in order to have the same F.S. of 20000 points obtained in laboratory.
This operation is necessary if it is not possible to calibrate the weigh moving physically the loads on the
hopper. The load cells, even if they have different capacities, send an electric signal from 0 to 20 mV
proportional to the weight loaded upon them. We will have 0 mV when the load cell is completely
unladen and 20 mV when it will be loaded with the F.S. weight. For all intermediate weight values, we
will obtain intermediate value of the signal in mV. In case of 2 or more load cells connected in parallel,
the supplied analog signal will always be the same. The instrument is suitable for being connected to
load cells with any kind of capacity and a wide variety of applications. It is about making a
correspondence between a signal always changing from 0 to 20 mV and an actual weight reading which
can vary from grams to hundreds of tons.
IMPORTANT: for semplicity the signal of the load cells has been defined from 0 to 20 mV
(the standards are related to these values). Actually the signal of the load cells is
expressed in milliVolt/Volt power supply, therefore a 2 mV/V load cell at 5 V supplies a
signal (at full load) of 10 mV.
9.2 THEORETICAL TARE
The theoretical tare value corresponds to the weight of the plant loaded on the scale. The pre set value
will be subtracted to the value detected when calculating the weight value. The keys F1, F2, F3 and
F4 work in DATA ENTRY MODE.
Insert in this menu the weight value corresponding to the tare of the plant.
9.3 THEORETICAL SPAN
The theoretical Span is the max weight value that you want to achieve on the plant where the instrument
is installed. The pre set value will be used in order to calculate a constant for converting from points to
weight, so that we will have some values that can vary exactly in the expected range.
The keys F1, F2, F3 and F4 work in DATA ENTRY MODE.
Insert the F.S. value you want to achieve.
10. AD SETUP (PASSWORD 2040)
In order to access this section, where you can adjust all parameters related to the functioning of the
A/D converter, you need to use the code 2040.
10.1 AD POLARITY
The polarity shows the working mode of the A/D converter.
In Bipolar mode the converter creates a value range from – FS/2 to + (FS/2)-1, where FS is the
peak value determined by the resolution of the component. For example: with a 16 bit converter the
value range is between -32768 and +32767 points. This mode is useful when the detected weight in the

plant can have negative values. In Unipolar mode the value range created by the converter is between
0 and FS, where FS is the peak value defined by the resolution of the component. For example: with a
16 bit converter the value range is between 0 and 65535 points. This mode is useful when you are quite
sure about the fact that the weight value detected on the plant will not be negative.
F3 and F4 are used for data entry
F1,F2 = disabled
F3 = looping over available values
F4 = confirms the inserted value, exit the menu and goes back to the upper level menu.
10.2 DIGITAL FILTER
This parameter allows you to adjust the operating frequency of the A/D converter, defining
consequently the number of weight conversions that the instrument will make in a second. The
selectable values, expressed in Hertz, are: 100, 50, 25, 12.5, 6.25, 3200, 1600, 800, 400, 200
(default value 100 Hz).
F3 and F4 are used for data entry
F1,F2 = disabled
F3 = looping over available values
F4 = confirms the inserted value, exit the menu and goes back to the upper level menu.
11. WORK SETUP (PASSWORD 2050)
In order to access this section, where you find all parameters calculated before installation and are not
changing till a new installation, you need to use code 2050. These parameters allow the instrument to
operate some additional functions that can improve the whole weighing process. In fact they can
improve the stability of the weight measure, compensate the drifts of the system, prepare reports and
ad hoc displays etc.
11.1 OVERFLOW
The overflow value is the max weight that can be reached by the scale, in other words the max breaking
point of the load cell. Once overcome, the scale will go into block, switching off all outputs (in the main
screen next to their number an X will appear) and showing the wording OVF till the weight loaded on
the scale will decrease under the critical value. If you leave the 0 value, the machine will consider the
overflow as disconnected. F1, F2, F3 and F4 work in DATA ENTRY MODE.
11.2 AUTOZERO
In this menu you can activate auto zero of the visualized weight when the scale is switched on. This
parameter defines a range of weight close to zero and within it, when turning on, the value 0 is supplied.
This forcing does not create any kind of error during the weighing. If the the weight does not fall within
in this range in 10 seconds after turning on, it is correctly visualized. The value entered is expressed
with the same unit of measure of the weight entered through the calibration. If the entered value is 0,
the scale will consider the auto zero disconnected. It is usually used when there is a chance on the scale
could deposit some kind of stuff that, by staying there, could be considered by mistake as an add-on
tare. The keys F1, F2, F3 and F4 work in DATA ENTRY MODE.
11.3 ZERO TIME
Through this menu (together with ZERO RANGE) you can activate the zero tracking, which allows you
to keep the display on 0 even in case of some changing due to accumulation of material or drifts of the
system. The zero forcing does not create any kind of error in the weighing. The scale will reset the value

of the weight visualized if, within the seconds specified by the parameter ZERO TIME, the visualized
weight is not far from its value + or – the data specified by the parameter ZERO RANGE. If the entered
data is 0, the scale will consider disabled the ZERO TIME.
F1, F2, F3 and F4 work in DATA ENTRY MODE.
11.4 ZERO RANGE
The use of this parameter is related to the data ZERO TIME and it defines a range of weight within
which possible zero variations have to be compensated. If the entered data is 0, the scale will consider
as disabled the zero range. F1, F2, F3 and F4 work in DATA ENTRY MODE.
11.5 STABLE WEIGHT TIME
The weight is considered as stable when the instrument recognizes the conditions of “still weight”.
When the weight falls within the STABLE WEIGHT RANGE for a certain time which is longer than
the STABLE WEIGHT TIME, so it can be considered as stable. This parameter defines a range of
time and when it is elapsed, it is considered as STABLE. Once you have reached the stable weight, also
the MONOTONY parameters will operate. If the entered data is 0, the scale will consider the stable
weight time as inactive. F1, F2, F3 and F4 work in DATA ENTRY MODE.
11.6 STABLE WEIGHT RANGE
Together with the STABLE WEIGHT TIME, this parameter defines a weight range within which the
weight is considered STABLE. If you remain within this range for a period longer than the STABLE
WEIGHT TIME, the weight is considered STABLE. Once you have reached the stable weight, also the
MONOTONY parameters will operate. If the entered data is 0, the scale will consider the STABLE
WEIGHT RANGE as inactive. F1, F2, F3 and F4 work in DATA ENTRY MODE.
11.7 MONOTONY TIME
With this parameter (toghether with MONOTONY RANGE) it is possible to activate the monotony
of the scale, which is the instrument’s recognition of the moving weight. One you have reached the
stable weight, the machine enlarges, little by little, the range within which the weight can fluctuate (till
the MONOTONY RANGE parameter). The operation will stop when reaching the time specified by
the MONOTONY TIME parameter. Until the time is not recognized as “moving” (which is when you
really load or unload the material), this parameter damps all weight variations caused by vibrations,
wind, etc. If the weight shift exceeds the gained range of variability, the scale exits the monotony and
restarts the process waiting for the stable weight. If the entered data is 0, the scale will consider the
monotony time as inactive. This data can be used in order to compensate a slight F.S. drift. F1, F2, F3
and F4 work in DATA ENTRY MODE.
11.8 MONOTONY RANGE
The use of this parameter is linked to the MONOTONY TIME value. If the entered data is 0, the scale
will consider the monotony range as inactive. F1, F2, F3 and F4 work in DATA ENTRY MODE.

12. ANALOG OUTPUT SETUP (PASSWORD 4711)
Here you can find all parameters related to the setup of the A/D converter of the instrument.
12.1 ANALOG TARE
Here you can adjust the tension or current value that the instrument supplies on the analog output
when the scale is unloaded, so that it is possible to have it as much closer as possible to the nominal
tare value chosen inside the DAC MODE menu.
F2 F3 and F4 are used for data entry
F1= disabled.
F2 = reduces the tare value of the DAC.
F3 = increases the tare value of the DAC.
F4 = confirms the entered value, exits the menu and goes back to the upper menu.
12.2 ANALOG SPAN
Here you can set the value supplied by the instrument at the analog output when the scale is full load,
so that it is as closer as possible to the F.S. value chosen inside the menu DAC MODE.
F2 F3 and F4 are used in order to enter data
F1= disabled.
F2 = reduces the F.S. value of the DAC.
F3 = increases the F.S. value of the DAC.
F4 = confirms the entered value, exits the menu and goes back to the upper level menu.
12.3 NOMINAL LOAD
The value entered for this parameter corresponds to the weight detected by the scale that you want to
be equivalent to the F.S. value of the analog output. Once you have entered this value the machine will
supply a voltage/current signal on the analog output that will vary, within the chosen range inside the
menu DAC MODE, in proportion to the weight detected by the scale. F1, F2, F3 and F4 work in
DATA ENTRY MODE.
13. SETUP SET
Through this menu you can set the parameters related to the threshold values that rules the 3 relays
inside the instrument. These devices can be used for different functions, as for example an alarm signal
when the weight threshold has been overcome.

13.1 SET VALUE X
This parameter allows to establish the threshold value beyond which each of the instrument relays is de-
energized (in case of normally closed operation) or energized (in case of normally open operation). It is
possible to set a positive and negative value for each of the sets.
As soon as you enter the page, you see the cursor flashing on the left of the display: using the F3 key you
can choose whether to set a positive set (an empty space is displayed) or a negative one (the - sign is
displayed). By pressing the F4 key for the first time, the actual value of the set is set.
Combining this value with the parameters HYSTERESIS, DELAY and SET TYPE, you can
precisely define the way that the instrument manages the weight thresholds. F1, F2, F3 and F4 work
in DATA ENTRY MODE.
13.2 HYSTERESIS SET X
The HYSTERESIS value is applied to the parameters related to the value of each set, rising if the set
is max, decreasing if the set is minimum. It stands for a “tolerance threshold” within which the weight
can vary before the set’s relay is activated. If you set 0 as value, the machine will consider as disabled
the hysteresis for the corresponding set. F1, F2, F3 and F4 work in DATA ENTRY MODE.
13.3 DELAY SET X
This parameter is a time range (expressed in seconds) which is a delay for the activation of each relay
associated with the machine’s sets. When the weight goes beyond the range set by the SET value for a
period longer than the delay value, the relay related to the exceeded threshold will be activated. If you
set 0 as a value, the machine will consider as disabled the delay for the activation of the corresponding
set, in other words, the relay will trip at once when overcoming the threshold value. F1, F2, F3 and F4
work in DATA ENTRY MODE.
13.4 TYPE SET X
This parameter allows you to select the type of set we want to set, choosing between minimum and
maximum set:
DESCENT = minimum set. The relay trips if it drops below the SET value for a time longer than the
DELAY value (if set) and returns to the original state if it rises above the SET + HYSTERESIS value.
ASCENT = maximum set. The relay trips when the SET value is exceeded for a time longer than the
DELAY value (if set) and returns to the original state if it drops below the SET - HYSTERESIS value.
Keys F3 and F4 are used for data entry
F1, F2 = disabled.
F3 = increases the flashing digit by one unit (cycles between 0 and 9).
F4 = confirm the entered value and go to the next set. Once the value of the third set has been confirmed,
it exits the current menu and returns to the corresponding higher level menu.

14. DATA RESET / TEST (PASSWORD 5555 / 9999)
This menu allows you to access to a double function: you can make a complete reset of the machine
memory, going back to the factory settings; on the other hand it is possible to enter an input/output
test mode of the instrument.
14.1 TEST
The input/output test is useful for checking the correct working of the connection lines between the
system and the field. Entering the password 5555 you can enter the input/output test mode. The
display will appear as follows:
On the first line you can see the numbers of the inputs with the relative status. Activating or disabling
the external inputs, you can verify their correct functioning.
On the second line, on the other hand, you can find the numbers of the outputs, with the relative status,
which goes back to its origins as soon as the test mode is activated. When pressing F1, F2, F3 you can
activate and disable the relays of the instrument in order to verify their proper funcioning.
IMPORTANT: this operation must be executed with the utmost caution in order to avoid
bad management.
Pressing F4 you exit the test mode and go back to weight display and the output status restored to the
value prior to the test mode.
IMPORTANT: if, when entering the test mode, the machine is in overflow alarm, the
outputs will be disactivated and the keys pressing will have no effects.
14.2 DATA RESET
Entering the password 5555, you can access to a display which will ask if you really want to reset the
memory. Pressing F3 you can change the visualized option, on the other hand, by pressing F4 you can
confirm your selection. Pressing Cancel/Undo (Annullare) and confirming the selection, you will
go the upper menu (reset data/test). Therefore the values configured before will not be modified.
Pressing Confirm and confirming the selection, you will see a wording saying that the reset is in
progress, after that the machine will be restarted. By doing that all calibration data will be restored so
as the settings done in laboratory.
CAUTION!
AN INCORRECT SETTING CAN AFFECT THE FUNCTIONALITY OF THE INSTRUMENT.
NEVER USE IT OUT OF THE LABORATORY.

15. EXTERNAL ENTRANCES
The instrument has two inputs, useful for interacting with the instrument when physically the buttons
on the same cannot be used. The functions associated with these inputs are the following:
• INPUT 1: this input allows, provided that the functionality has been enabled from the appropriate
menu, to enable or disable the peak function on the weight value
• INPUT 2: this input has the same function as the F1 key on the main screen, that is, it allows you
to alternate the display between gross and net weight, in order to obtain a momentary tare of the
weight displayed by the machine;

2 Upper part first address to read
3 Lower part first address to read
4 High part number addresses to read

To give an example, the query message to read the machine decimal value is as follows:
MESSAGE BYTE ( hex ) MEANING
0A Address of the machine
03 function (log reading)
50 Upper part first register address

0B Lower part first register address
00 High part number of registers to read
01 Low part number of registers to read
E5 checksum (low byte)
B3 checksum ( high byte )
The response message from the machine is composed as follows:
BYTE INDEX in the MEANING
message
0 Address of the machine that is responding
1 Function code being answered (0x03 for reading registers)
2 Number of bytes of data that are communicating (at least 2 for each register)
3 … 3+(num. Byte-1) Actual data of the registers that have been queried
3 + num. Byte Checksum (low byte)
3 + (num. Byte +1) Checksum (high byte)
For example, the response to the register query message regarding the number of decimals of the machine
(shown above) will be structured as follows (it is assumed that the machine has the value of the decimal
parameter set to 1):
MESSAGE BYTE (hex) MEANING
0A Address of the machine
03 function (register reading)
02 Number of bytes of data contained in the message
00 First byte of register data
01 Second byte of register data
CHKS_L checksum (low byte)
CHKS_H checksum (high byte)
The machine has limited memory, which is why its serial buffers have been sized to 24 characters. This
means, in particular in the case of the buffer with which the machine transmits the answers to the queries,
the availability of a useful space for data of 16 characters, a size that corresponds to a maximum number of
registers which can be queried at the same time equal to 8.
