1. Property tax shall be paid by 30th June for first half year and 31st December for Second half year to avoid penal interest.

2. If Payment of Property Tax for the year 2025-26 is already made please ignore this bill.

3. Interest of 2% p.m. charged on 1st half-year from 01-07-2025 and on 2nd half year from 01-01-2026.

4. On arrears 2% simple interest will be charged continuosly for every month of default,till arrears are paid.

5. Issuance of this bill and payment against it,does not preclude GHMC from rationalization of property tax as per rules.

6. As per section 629 of GHMC Act,Demand Bill shall be served,issued or presented or given by Municipal Officers or servants or by other persons authorized by the Commissioner, GHMC on
his behalf.

GUIDELINES TO PROPERTY TAX PAYERS

1. The Property Tax is due on 1st April for first half year and on 1st October for second half-year as per Section 264 of GHMC Act 1955.
2. The Property Tax can be paid for full year at a time if the assesses desires
3. Penal Interest @ 2% per month is collectable for each month for late payment as per section 269(2) of GHMC Act, 1955 and any fraction of month will be treated as full month for calculating
interest.
4. If the tax-defaulter fails to pay the arrears amount mentioned in this bill within 15 days of receipt of this bill, the same will be collected by issuing a distress warrant notice under section
269(1) which empowers the Corporation for distress sale of goods & Chattels on Defaulters
5. Action will also be taken against defaulters for recovery of the amount due by attaching their property under Revenue Recovery Act.1864.
6. If any reason the distraint or a sufficient distraint of the defaulter's property is impracticable, the Commissioner, GHMC may prosecute the defaulter beforethe competent court of jurisdiction.
7. When payment of Property Tax is not made by the end of the month of June for the first half year and by the end of December for the Second half year, the Commissioner, GHMC may after
giving notice to the owner or occupier, disconnect the essential services for the premises.

10. The Tax can be paid at any Mee-Seva Center, Citzen Service Center, Bill Collectors, Online payment from Debit Card, Credit Card, Paytm, Googlepay, Phonepay.

12. Property Tax details can be viewed and payments also can be made through GHMC android & IOS mobile app.
13. Every assessment has been allotted a unique property tax identification number (PTIN). Please use PTIN for all Correspondence relating to property tax matters. You can find your PTIN on

14. Identify your Bill Collector before making payment.
15. Please bring the bill while paying at Office, CSC Counter or any Mee Seva center
16. Citizens can now avail Self Assessment of Property tax provision for New / Unassessed properties, using link / by providing required assessment details[Link] for self

17. Pay Property Tax-Help GHMC to provide better services.
