Imagine it’s the 1800s. You’re a historian who has just found exciting news you
want to share with your colleague using the newest, latest, greatest technology
– the telegraph! You only have enough money to send 3 facts using Morse Code, so they need to be
important, brief, and descriptive.
Grade = 10 points (1 point for each: 3 descriptive facts about an Industrial revolution invention
written in complete sentences in English and same 3 facts written in Morse code)

• Read "A Revolution in Transportation and Communication" in your Human
Odyssey textbook, pages 459-473. Then, re-read "Samuel Morse
Invents the Telegraph" in your Human Odyssey textbook, pages 469-

• Write three important, brief, and descriptive facts in complete
