Act of 2002

SUBJECT :

Name: Eric John Brinas


Alias: “EJ”
Age: 30
Address: Brgy. 1, San Lorenzo, Laoag City
Drug Personality Level: Street-Level Individual (SLI)
Status: Apprehended

CONDUCT OF OPERATION :
The Laoag City PDEU, in coordination with PDEA Region 1, conducted
a buy-bust operation targeting Eric John Brinas, a suspected street-level drug
pusher. The operation was executed following validated intelligence and a
test-buy confirming the suspect’s illegal activities.

At approximately 4:30 PM, poseur buyer PSMS Kurtney Jaylord P.


Canao successfully transacted with the suspect, receiving two sachet of
suspected shabu in exchange for pre-marked buy-bust money. Immediately
after the transaction, the poseur buyer drew his service firearm and
instructed the suspect to kneel, which signaled the backup team to move in.

The arresting team quickly subdued the suspect and informed him of
his constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine. A body and bag search
yielded the following:
ITEMS SEIZED :

 Seven (7) sachets of suspected Methamphetamine Hydrochloride


(Shabu), total weight: 7 grams (estimated value: ₱50,000)
 One (1) digital weighing scale
 Strips of used aluminum foil and a lighter (drug paraphernalia)
 One (1) mobile phone
 Cash amounting to ₱20,000 in different denominations
 Identification cards and other personal items
 One (1) black bag

ACTIONS TAKEN :

 The scene was photographed and documented.


 The seized evidence was marked, inventoried, and witnessed by a
barangay official, DOJ representative, and media.
 The suspect was brought to the Laoag CPS for booking procedures.
 Mug shots and tenprint of the suspect were taken.
 Suspect underwent medical examination (see attached result).
 Evidence was submitted to the PNP Crime Laboratory for qualitative
examination (Chemistry Report No. CP-D-3821-25).
 Charges for violation of Section 5 and Section 11, Article II of R.A. 9165
were prepared for inquest proceedings.

VEHICLES USED:
Black Sedan – Plate No. ILR 1325 – Used for surveillance and covert
transport of the poseur buyer and support personnel.

Red Pick-up – Plate No. NGO 8741 – Utilized for transporting arresting
team and confiscated

REMARKS :
The operation was conducted successfully with no reported casualties
or untoward incidents. The cooperation and coordination with PDEA Region
1 ensured the lawful and efficient execution of the anti-illegal drugs
operation.
