Process & Project Engineer - Onboarding Notes

Day 1: Introduction to Process & Detailed Engineering

- Understand the design basis of your project (feedstocks, products, conditions).


- Learn the structure of PFD, P&ID, Mass & Energy Balance documents.
- Practice reading existing P&ID diagrams.
- Get familiar with document review checklists.

Day 2: Working with Engineering Consultants

- Learn how to handle RFIs (Requests for Information).


- Attend mock review meetings with consultants.
- Understand how to update and track an issue log.

Day 3: Vendor Coordination and Site Visits

- Study how to expedite delivery schedules and use QAPs.


- Learn what to check during vendor inspections and FAT.
