Ked Kreations Podcast: An Interview with Mishika

Rastogi (Extended Script)

(Intro Music fades)

Host: Welcome, readers, to Ked Kreations Podcast! Today, we have a very

special guest, 11-year-old author Mishika Rastogi. Mishika, welcome to the
show!

Mishika: Thank you for having me!

Host: It's our pleasure. Mishika, you've been writing since you were eight.
That's incredible! Tell us, what sparked your passion for storytelling?

Mishika: Well, I've always loved stories. Reading them, hearing them from
my parents, even playing with my toys – they all sparked my imagination. I
just wanted to create my own worlds and adventures.

Host: So, you’re surrounded by inspiration. What about hobbies? What do

you do when you're not writing?

Mishika: I love reading, of course! It fuels my own writing. I also enjoy art –
drawing and painting. And I’m a bit of a builder. I love LEGOs! I don't even
look at the instructions. I just open the box and start creating whatever
comes to mind.

Host: That’s fantastic! It sounds like you have a very creative spirit. You
mentioned reading inspires you. Who are some of your favorite authors?

Mishika: Sudha Murty is a big inspiration. (Pause - More information about

specific influences was not provided, so we move on.)

Host: That’s wonderful. Now, let’s talk about your book, “The Quest of the
Dragon's Freedom.” Tell us about it.

Mishika: It’s a fantasy story about a dragon who’s afraid of the real world.
He’s kind of hiding away, and he needs help to overcome his fears. So, two
pet animals and a deer become his friends and help him on his quest.

Host: A dragon afraid of the real world… that's a really interesting concept.
What was the most challenging part of bringing this story to life?
Mishika: The hardest part was definitely the beginning. I had to figure out
the main story, the core of the adventure. But once I had that, the rest
flowed pretty easily. Creating fantasy worlds is all about imagination, and I
have a lot of that! It's like once I start, the ideas just keep coming.

Host: It sounds like you really tapped into your imagination. What do you
hope readers will take away from "The Quest of the Dragon's Freedom"?

Mishika: I want them to understand the importance of helping others. Even

if someone seems difficult or has some “bad things” about them, there's
usually a reason. Learning about their backstory, understanding their
experiences, can help us connect with them. And, you never know, the
people you help today might be the ones who help you tomorrow.

Host: That's a beautiful message. Now, Mishika, you're still quite young, but
you've already accomplished so much. How do you see your writing skills
helping you in your future?

Mishika: I think writing can help me in anything I do. It helps me

communicate my ideas clearly. And I hope that in the future, I can use my
writing to inspire other young people, maybe even change the world in
some small way. I want to encourage them to write their own stories.

Host: That’s a wonderful goal. What advice would you give to other young
writers out there?

Mishika: The most important thing is to just start writing! Don’t be afraid to
put your thoughts down on paper. And read, read, read! Reading gives you
so many ideas and helps you learn how to tell stories.

Host: Excellent advice. Mishika, thank you so much for sharing your
insights with us today. It’s been truly inspiring to hear from you. We can't
wait to see what you write next!

Mishika: Thank you!

Host: And that brings us to the end of our conversation with the
remarkable Mishika Rastogi. Remember, this is just the beginning for this
young author. Keep an eye out for Mishika's future works, and let’s support
her dream of creating stories that make a difference. Thank you for
joining us at Ked Kreations Podcast.
