2. GOALS/OBJECTIVES
The goals of the team are:

 Facilitate the acquisition of new knowledge and skills among team members
 Enhance the team's collective skill set.
 Provide opportunities for members to develop specific skills relevant to their roles
 Sharing knowledge that is relevant, interesting, and contributes to personal and
professional growth.
 Form a professional team working environment, with specific assessments for
members to adapt to future industrial behavior.
 Create high results in the subject.

The goals for this course:

 Understand the optimization concepts that can be applied to future careers

 Acquire the ability to think strategically about operations, aligning them with
broader organizational goals and objectives.
 Improve leadership skills relevant to managing operations, including decision-
making, team management, and conflict resolution.
 Learn how to analyze and optimize the function by apply many algorithm to
reduce costs, and improve overall performance
 Learn how to apply these optimization in specific situations like manufacturing
and marketing to give a optimize solution
 Learn strategies for optimizing supply chain processes, from procurement to
distribution, to achieve cost efficiencies and improve overall supply chain
performance.
Obstacle might you encounter in reaching our goals:

 Time Constraints: Balancing work, personal life, and coursework can be

challenging. Time constraints may hinder the ability to dedicate sufficient time to
studying and completing course requirements.
 Workload: Heavy work responsibilities, especially in operational roles, may make
it difficult to focus on the course material and assignments.
 Ineffective Study Strategies: Using inefficient study techniques or not adapting to
the course format and requirements can hinder the learning process
 Lack of communication: Lack of cooperation and communication between group
and class members, being afraid to discuss and research with lecturers will be a
great barrier for each individual.

If all of you decide you want to get a 9 or 10 grade, but because of time constraints,
one person decides that a 6 or 7 will be acceptable?

-While individual preferences and goals may differ, it's crucial for collaborative
efforts to reach a consensus. Open communication can help understand each person's
constraints and find a balance that aligns with everyone's expectations. Members will
support each other by sharing documents, learning methods, and being flexible in
dividing work to try to complete the subject with the highest score possible.

In case of one or two team members to do more work than the others in order to get
the team a 10

-Ideally, tasks should be distributed fairly, but if some members are willing to take
on more work to achieve higher grades within the group or because they are interested in
the topic, it will be completely acceptable as long as they can fully handle the tasks they
have undertaken and others feel comfortable with it, it can be accepted as long as
everyone is on the same page. Communication is key to avoiding potential problems.

3. MEETING NORMS
- Meeting frequency: once a week for online meetings and every two weeks for offline
meetings.
- Form of meeting: online through Google Meet and offline.
- Meeting time: Use the meeting tool to find a possible time for each individual, and
then all team members will vote for the most suitable time.
- Meeting length: From 30 to 60 minutes
- Communication, announcement, and agreement: online through Messenger Group
(can be contacted by calling or chatting with the team leader if urgent).
- The meeting will be recorded by the team leader.
- Each meeting will be planned and held carefully by team leader.
Each member is required to get the essential information about what they will discuss
before the meeting.
Every problem or discussion will be listed and followed by the team leader.

4. WORK NORMS AND DECISION MAKING

- Each member must spend atleast 4 hours per week on the project.
- The workload for each team member is divided equally.
- The deadline is officially set for one week on average and may change depending on
the workload.
- All tasks given to each team member are balance. Team leader will prioritize it to
any member that has necessary skills.
- If any member does not fulfill their responsibility and commitment, they will get a
warning.
- The maximum warning is 3. If the member reaches the maximum warning, they will
be punished from the team.
- Every work done will be reviewed by all team members so that everyone can give
suggestions and opinions.
- For any divergent opinion about the work quality, the team leader will consider each
opinion and decide which is more suitable.
- For any share of the work, if one or both team members does not complete the work,
the team leader will give a warning to all despite the equality.
- All work habits are allowed (complete early or at the last minute), but in all
circumstances, the team members must complete and fulfill the required quality of
the assignments.
 Do you need consensus (100% approval of all team members) before making a
decision?
- Whether a team needs 100% consensus before making a decision can depend on the
team’s dynamics and the nature of the decision. Our priority is the requirement for full
consensus for major decisions (because we only have 5 members), but sometimes we
have to operate on a majority rule for some situations, especially when the deadline is
tight. It’s important to have clear guidelines about decision-making processes within the
team, so we have made guidelines about those in our first meeting online.
 What will you do if one of you fixates on a particular idea?

- When a team member strongly adheres to a specific idea, fostering an environment of

open and respectful conversation about the concept can be beneficial. It’s important to
objectively evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the idea. If the team chooses not to
follow through with the idea, it’s essential to make sure the team member comprehends
the rationale behind this decision.
