SUBJECT DESCRIPTION: MICROECONOMICS
Date Activities
04-21-2025 Today, I started studying Lesson 1:
Economic Thinking. I read through the
module and learned that economics is not
just about money, but also about how
people make decisions with limited
resources. I found it interesting that
economic thinking involves looking at costs
and benefits before making a choice. I took
down notes, especially on the definition of
economics, the types (micro and macro),
and the concept of scarcity. I also watched a
short video explaining real-life examples of
how economics affects our daily lives, like
deciding whether to spend or save money. I
found this lesson very relatable and eye-
opening.
04-22-2025 I focused on Lesson 2: Choice in a World of
Scarcity. The module explained that
because resources are limited, people must
make choices, and each choice has an
opportunity cost. I spent time thinking
about the choices I make every day, like
balancing schoolwork and rest, or spending
allowance on food or savings. I answered
the guide questions in the module and
reflected on a personal decision where I
had to give up something for something
more important. I also joined the class
discussion in Google Classroom and shared
an example of opportunity cost from my
own experience.
04-23-2025 Today I began Lesson 3: Supply and
Demand. I read the module and watched
videos about how supply and demand work
in the market. I learned about the Law of
Demand (when price goes up, quantity
demanded goes down) and the Law of
Supply (when price goes up, quantity
supplied goes up). I found it challenging to
understand the curves at first, so I took
extra time reviewing the graphs and even
practiced drawing them on paper. I also
read additional resources online and
watched a YouTube explainer video. That
really helped me understand why prices
change and how businesses decide how
much to produce.
04-24-2025 I continued studying Lesson 3 and focused
more on the graphs and shifts in the supply
and demand curves. I did a worksheet from
Google Classroom where I had to identify
what causes shifts, like changes in income,
trends, technology, and production costs. I
also practiced answering situational
problems like what happens to the demand
for umbrellas when it rains, or what
happens to supply when production
becomes cheaper. It made me realize that
economics is really connected to real-life
events. I also commented on my
classmate’s post and joined a group chat
where we helped each other understand
the concepts better.
04-25-2025 This day was all about Lesson 4:
Applications of Supply and Demand. The
lesson showed how concepts like surplus,
shortage, price ceilings, and price floors
apply in real life. I read examples such as
rent control and minimum wage laws. I
tried to reflect on how supply and demand
influence prices in the local market, like
why onions or tomatoes sometimes get so
expensive. I wrote a short essay explaining
how supply and demand affects the prices
of my favorite snacks. I also explored a case
study in the module about the oil price
hikes. I was able to understand how global
events impact supply chains and prices.
04-26-2025 Today was review day. I went back through
all four lessons and organized my notes. I
made a reviewer for each topic with
keywords and summaries. I also answered
all the self-check quizzes in the module and
double-checked if I missed any activity on
GClass. I watched all the recorded lessons
and took additional notes to clarify topics I
didn’t fully get before. I also reviewed my
answers from earlier activities and made
corrections based on my learnings.
Nakakatulong talaga yung sariling reviewer
para ma-retain yung concepts.
04-27-2025 For the last day, I finalized everything for
submission. I did a final run-through of all
modules and submitted all pending tasks
and activities. I also completed a reflection
journal where I wrote about what I learned
from each lesson. I feel like I’ve gained a
better understanding of how economics is
present in everyday life. I now appreciate
how our choices, no matter how small, are
influenced by scarcity and trade-offs. I'm
also more aware of how markets work and
how supply and demand play a big role in
pricing. I feel more prepared for the
midterm exam after all the studying I did
this week.
