Location Business

The specific business location was placed inside Fort Santiago. The reason why we placed

our business in that specific area, is because there were a lot of people who wanted to go to

Fort Santiago. Especially on the weekends, and that was the best option for us to attract more

customers, and sell our products.

Vision

In our business, we plan to aspire, create, and imprint Japanese culture into our food,
giving our customers and regular buyers the experience of having different kinds of Japanese
cuisines. We as a food and beverage business want to keep a good reputation throughout our
journey making us give it our all to every customer equally.

Mission

In the future of our business, we plan to grow and spread more influence by using
Japanese culture as our good example and theme of elegance, in the future we hopefully plan
to be not just a business but a company with a large scale size making it possible to do more
than just imply the culture of Japan in one country.

Competition

The competition between two types of cafe will happen the moment that we setup our
business near the Makati Highschool, although it may be good for our business to be next to a
fine hotel such as UNWND, it can also attract competition against Daily Cup even though
our location are not that much closer to each other, Daily Cup is more known for it's Calming
and Soothing ambience while we'll be known to create a Dreamy and Elegant space between
our customers and our business.

Packaging

Our packaging is paper meal box and mini cup for the ice cream and put it in the paper meal
box and will be placed in plastic so that the customer will not have difficulty carrying it

This product stands out in the dessert market due to its combination of fresh fruits and vegetables wrapped in Japanese rice paper, providing a healthier and more updated alternative to traditional desserts . This differentiation appeals to health-conscious consumers, enhancing perceived value through unique health benefits and aesthetic appeal . Furthermore, customization options strengthen differentiation by allowing personalized consumer experiences. This diversified appeal can enhance customer perception by fulfilling contemporary trends in both health and experiential dining .

Potential barriers for "Kumo Café" in its expansion efforts include high ingredient costs, operational challenges linked to maintaining the freshness of products, and the fluctuating popularity of health trends . These challenges could lead to increased operational costs and price sensitivity from customers, affecting profitability. To overcome these, the café could establish supplier partnerships for cost-effective sourcing and develop efficient inventory systems to minimize waste . Beyond operational improvements, diversifying offerings or adapting product lines to changing health trends can help retain customer interest and adaptability . Additionally, leveraging partnerships with influencers and fitness industry players could enhance brand visibility and acceptance beyond current markets .

Social media can significantly enhance "Kumo Café's" marketing strategy by leveraging its visually appealing and Instagrammable product presentations. The café's unique and colorful dessert offerings are ideal for social media platforms, enabling visual storytelling that can attract a wider audience . Engaging with customers through social media allows for direct interaction, building brand loyalty and community around the product . Utilizing social media influencers and running targeted campaigns can further promote the café's health-oriented and trendy dessert options. This digital focus supports brand visibility and conversational marketing, fostering greater customer engagement and word-of-mouth promotion .

"Kumo Café" can maintain relevance and innovation through several strategic actions. Firstly, it should continuously monitor and adapt to emerging food trends by incorporating seasonal and culturally relevant flavors, appealing to evolving consumer tastes . Collaborating with culinary influencers to generate buzz and align products with current market demands can enhance innovation . Unlike typical ice cream shops or fruit dessert outlets, "Kumo Café" provides a product that is both a novelty and a healthier alternative, using fresh produce and less sugar. This uniqueness caters to a niche market of health-conscious and trend-seeking consumers . Additionally, the product's customizable nature and visual appeal make it suitable for social media promotion, setting it apart in the crowded dessert market . However, its differentiated focus on health trends might not cater to consumers who prioritize indulgence over health, suggesting a focused competitive positioning on health-oriented customers .

The strategic choice to locate "Kumo Café" inside Fort Santiago in Intramuros, Manila, capitalizes on high foot traffic from tourists visiting this historical site. This location choice is designed to attract a steady stream of potential customers who are open to trying new and unique food experiences like those offered by "Kumo Café" . Selecting historically and culturally rich Fort Santiago aligns with the business's theme of cultural experience, enhancing its appeal. However, the potential constraint of an entrance fee to Fort Santiago may limit access for some customer segments, thus affecting market reach . Overall, while this location can drive a specific niche market, its effectiveness depends on balancing accessibility with cultural positioning .

The SWOT analysis for "Kumo Café" highlights several strategic insights. Strengths such as the unique dessert offering and its health orientation provide a competitive edge in a market increasingly focused on health-conscious choices. The café's flexibility in business models allows for adaptability to different market conditions . However, weaknesses like perishable ingredients and higher costs highlight operational and pricing challenges that could hinder scalability and competitive pricing . Recognizing opportunities in health trends and potential partnerships can guide growth strategies, whereas threats from competition and changing consumer preferences underscore the need for continuous innovation and strategic pricing . By balancing these factors, "Kumo Café" can shape a business strategy that leverages strengths and opportunities while mitigating risks .

The strengths of the "Kumo Café" business model include its unique and creative dessert offering, which differentiates it from traditional desserts. The use of fresh fruits and vegetables makes it a healthier option, appealing to health-conscious consumers . Its flexibility in operating models—cafés, kiosks, or mobile carts—broadens market reach, while the attractive and Instagrammable presentation enhances marketing through social media . However, the weaknesses include the perishability of ingredients, making inventory management challenging and potentially leading to wastage. The novelty of the product may result in a slow customer adoption rate . Furthermore, the higher cost of premium ingredients could make pricing less competitive, potentially limiting appeal to price-sensitive customers. These factors could both positively and negatively impact the success of the business .

"Kumo Café" aligns its vision and ambitions with its business operations and growth strategy by emphasizing the infusion of Japanese cultural elements into its customer experience and product offerings. The café aspires to evolve beyond a single brand into a broader company that showcases elegance and Japanese culture . Its growth strategy includes establishing more branches and partnerships to increase scale, which is aligned with its long-term vision to influence larger markets with cultural themes .
