Topic 3: Adventure stories


Question 1: Which adjectives are used to describe personal qualities? Use 1 or more
adjectives to describe your Mom/Dad/Sister/Brother/best friend/?

My best friend is loyal, funny, and supportive. They are always there for me, making me
laugh even in difficult times.
My mom is caring, loving, and patient. She always takes great care of our family, listens to
my problems, and gives the best advice.

Question 2: What is your favourite story/character? Can you tell me about it/him/her?

My favorite character is Harry Potter from the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. Harry is
a young wizard who grows up in difficult circumstances but becomes a hero as he faces
many challenges. His journey teaches me a lot about friendship, courage, and overcoming
fears.

My favorite character is Spiderman (Peter Parker) from the Marvel universe. Peter is an
everyday teenager who gains incredible powers but struggles to balance his personal life
with his superhero responsibilities. I admire his sense of duty, kindness, and his strong
moral compass. Despite facing immense challenges and personal losses, Peter always
chooses to do what is right. His story reminds me that anyone, no matter how ordinary they
seem, can make a big difference in the world.

Topic 4: Going places


Question 1: Can you tell me the names of some types of transport? Which one do you like
best? Why?

Some types of transport include cars, buses, bicycles, trains, airplanes, and boats.
Personally, I like bicycles best because they are environmentally friendly and give me the
freedom to travel at my own pace. Riding a bike also allows me to enjoy the surroundings
and stay healthy at the same time.

Question 2: What are the best places to visit in Vung Tau? Please recommend a good place
to visit in Vung Tau.

Vung Tau is a beautiful coastal city in Vietnam with many interesting places to visit. Some of
the best places include Front Beach, Back Beach, and the Jesus Statue on the mountain. I
highly recommend visiting the Jesus Statue, as you can hike up to the top and enjoy a
panoramic view of the entire city and coastline. It’s peaceful and offers a great place for
reflection.

Question 3: Have you ever got lost somewhere away from home? What did you do to find
your home? Or what should you do if you get lost?

Yes, I once got lost while traveling in a new city. I didn't have access to mobile data, so I
stayed calm and asked locals for directions. Fortunately, I was able to find my way back
after a few tries. If I get lost again, I would try to find a safe place, use a map or a GPS app if I
can, and ask for help from local people or use public transportation to return to a familiar
area.
Topic 5: Weather & environment
Question 1: What types of extreme weather have you ever seen in your country?

In my country, I’ve experienced a variety of extreme weather conditions, such as heavy


rainfall, tropical storms, and floods.

Question 2: What should you do if there is a flood/drought/tornado/?

 Flood: If there is a flood, it's essential to evacuate to higher ground immediately and avoid
moving through flooded areas. Stay informed through local news or emergency services.

 Drought: During a drought, conserving water is critical. You should reduce water usage,
avoid wasting water, and look for ways to help communities that are struggling with water
shortages.

 Tornado: If there’s a tornado, find a safe place such as a basement or an interior room on
the lowest floor of a building. Avoid windows and stay away from doors to minimize the
risk of injury.

Question 3: What should we do to protect our environment?

To protect our environment, we should reduce waste by recycling and reusing products,
conserve water and energy, and reduce the use of harmful chemicals. It’s also important to
plant trees, protect wildlife, and reduce our carbon footprint by using eco-friendly modes of
transport like walking, biking, or using public transportation.
