Activity 1
Answer the following reading and viewing questions based on the
story. Good luck!
Once upon a time,
in a quiet forest, there lived a clever fox named Falen. Falen was
fast, smart, and proud of his sharp eyes. He believed he didn’t
need help from anyone.
Every night, the fireflies lit up the forest paths to help the small
animals find their way. But Falen laughed at them.
“Tiny lights like yours are useless,” he mocked. “I can see in the
dark just fine.”
The fireflies were kind and didn’t argue.
One night, Falen went hunting. He chased a rabbit deep into the
forest and didn’t notice how far he had gone. Suddenly, clouds
covered the moon, and the forest became pitch black.
Falen tried to find his way back but couldn’t see anything. He
bumped into trees, tripped over roots, and felt completely lost.
Just when he was about to panic, soft lights appeared in the
darkness. It was the fireflies.
Without saying a word, they flew ahead, lighting the path. Falen
followed their gentle glow through the forest until he was safely
home.
He lowered his head and said,
“I was wrong. Your light may be small, but it’s powerful and kind.
Thank you.”
From then on, Falen never mocked others again. He even helped
protect the fireflies during the day, and they stayed friends
forever.

Good luck!
The Clever Deer and the Greedy Tiger
The tiger roared in frustration.
“Help me, Lila! Please get me out!”
he begged. But Lila shook her head
and said, “You tried to trick me, but
your own greed led to your
downfall. Next time, think before
you act!”
In a dense jungle, a clever deer
named Lila lived peacefully. One
day, a greedy tiger named Raka
set a trap near the river, hoping
to catch Lila for his dinner. He
covered a deep hole with leaves
and waited nearby.
As Lila walked to the river to
drink, she noticed something
strange. The ground looked
uneven, and some leaves
seemed freshly placed. She
became suspicious.
Lila happily left the area, knowing
she had outsmarted the greedy
tiger. From that day on, Raka
never tried to trick animals again,
and Lila continued living wisely in
the jungle.
Hearing the noise, the tiger
rushed out from his hiding spot.
“You cannot escape now, Lila!” he
growled. But as he ran toward
her, he stepped on the same weak
ground and fell into his own trap!
Lila decided to test the ground.
She picked up a small rock with
her hoof and threw it onto the
leaves. Suddenly, the ground
collapsed, revealing a deep hole!
