The Little Prince Fox

Materials needed: You can use any type of yarn for this
●1 ball orange amigurumi. You need two balls of
●1 ball white orange with a big crochet hook or you
●1 ball black can choose hook size by the yarn you
●Polyester fiberfill stuffing want to use.
●2 blue buttons Exact gauge is not essential to this
●Crochet hook project.
●Wool needle

Tail
With white, work in continuos round
1 – Magic loop, 6sc in the loop, tighten; (6)
2 – 2sc in each sc; (12)
3 – (2sc in next sc, 1sc in next sc)*, rep* around; (18)
4 – (2sc in next sc, 1sc in next 2sc)*, rep* around; (24)

Body
It is made of two separate pieces, sewn together. The orange part will be slightly distorted,
because of stitches. Don't panic! By sewing the two sides will not see.
With orange, russian stitch (use this stitch only for orange side)
1 – Ch 19, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in next 17ch; (18)
2/37 – 1sc in each st; (18)
38 – 2sctog, 14sc, 2sctog; (16)
39/41 – 1sc in each st; (16)
42 – 2sctog, 12sc, 2sctog; (14) Russian stitch
43 – 1sc in each st; (14) It works in single crochet. At the end of
44 - 2sctog, 10sc, 2sctog; (12) each row, cut the thread and start again
45 - 2sctog, 8sc, 2sctog; (10) without turning the work.
46 - 2sctog, 6sc, 2sctog; (8) Remember to leave a piece of tail starting
47 - 2sctog, 4sc, 2sctog; (6) and ending: it will serve to weave it
48 – 2sctog for 3 times; (3) through the stitches to secure the work on
the opposite side.
At the end you will have the same effect
of the rounding work.

With white, one regular row and one in back loop, alternating.

Join the two parts on the side of the body. Sew the nose on the tip of the head. Stuff the
body.

Base of the body


With white, work in continuous rounds
1 – Magic loop, 6sc in the loop, tighten; (6)
2 – 2sc in each st; (12)
3 – (2sc in next st, 1sc in next st)*, rep* around; (18)
4 – (2sc in next st, 1sc in next 2st)*, rep* around; (24)
5 – (2sc in next st, 1sc in next 3st)*, rep* around; (30)
6 – in b.l. 1sc in each st; (30)
7 – 1sc in each st, 1sl st; (30)
Fasten off. Keep enough thread to sew the base to the body.

Sew the base to the body finishing stuffing. With black, embroider the stitches along the
two parts of the body between white and orange. Repeat between the base and the body.
Sew the tail on the back, at center of the body, when orange starts.

For left ear just follow the pattern. For right ear invert yarn colours.
Work in rows, turn at the end of each row. Start each row with a chain.

With orange

Fasten off. Fold and join the two parts of the ear. With black, work the edge in sc. Keep
enough thread to sew the ears to the head.
Sew the ears exactly from the center of the head inside out, from 14° row to 23°, with a
light bending. Seams should be visible.

With black, sew the buttons eyes between the nose and the ears.

Attach forelegs on the orange part of the body,
taking down the part with decreases, between
28° and 29° rows, starting from the tip of the
head.

Attach hind legs on the white part of the body,


taking down the part with decreases, between 1st
and 2nd rows, immediately above the seam of the
base.

Use a visible “X” embroidery but fix accurately


the legs with hidden stitches.
