BA PHILOSOPHY
Second Year College

Philosophy has no precise definition, but it is comprised of the questions we have in our

psyches, as well as our views, backgrounds, beliefs, and the things we hold dear on our journey

through everyday life. We have all asked ourselves basic questions like, "Why am I here on

Earth?", "Why am I still alive/existing?", "Who exactly am I?", "What is my goal?" Everyone in

this universe has their own philosophy that they keep hidden, and that is what distinguishes us

from one another. When developing our identity, we must first consider who we truly are, as

every decision we make can be encapsulated in our individuality. In numerous instances, we

are in a scenario where we must choose between right and wrong, but the implications are

different results. This connects with nearly everything I learned in my ethics class. Going back

to the process of asking questions, I can unequivocally state that to inquire and ponder, we

gather a plethora of responses and approaches. We welcome the potential outcomes of each

contrast. We deal with adversities throughout one's existence and have restricted options but

choose to confront them, but before we decide, we try to push ourselves to think critically and

logically so that we can arrive at the best possible choice. Making use of these principles, we

query a lot of uncertainties in each determination we undertake, not just problems but also

resolutions. We dissect each argument and seek for and close loopholes. So, it is without

jumbled thoughts. We go into detail or organize it to prevent being overwhelmed. We don't

promptly welcome possible fabrications, so we try to uncover them or investigate more about

an issue by asking questions. For those of us who remember as young ones, we used to ask our

parents or guardians about matters that were unfamiliar to us. How does an airplane fly? Why
do bad people exist? Why is it crucial that we finish our academic pursuits? It is in our nature as

man to be curious about all things. And that is unquestionably what distinguishes us from

animals, because we are rational beings. We consider things that go beyond simply surviving.

There comes a time in the vast and complex journey of life when one embarks on the profound

quest of self-discovery. This journey, also known as "finding yourself," is an investigation into

one's true identity, values, passions, and purpose. It entails removing layers of societal

expectations, cultural influences, and personal conditioning in order to reveal the authentic self

that lies within. While it may appear challenging and elusive, the process of finding oneself is a

necessary and transformative journey that leads to personal growth, fulfillment, and a

meaningful existence. Finding oneself starts with the recognition and acceptance of one's

individuality. Society frequently imposes rigid norms and standards that can stifle individuality

and expression. To begin the process of self-discovery, it is critical to let go of the fear of

judgment and embrace one's unique qualities, quirks, and perspectives. We provide ourselves

the freedom to explore and express who we truly are by celebrating individuality. Exploring

passions and interests is a vital component of discovering oneself. Getting involved in activities

that truly capture and motivate us provides valuable perspectives into our true selves. Whether

it's painting, writing, playing an instrument, or participating in sports, devoting time to these

pursuits allows us to tap into our deepest desires and talents. We discover what lights our souls

on fire and gives us a sense of purpose through exploration. Self-reflection and mindfulness

are essential tools for finding oneself in the midst of daily noise and distractions. We can

establish space for introspection and self-awareness by pausing from the hustle and bustle.

Meditation, journaling, or merely spending time alone in nature can help us gain insight and

clarity into our thoughts, emotions, and desires. We can connect with our authentic selves by

quieting the outside world and turning inward. The path to discovering oneself is not without
struggles. It frequently entails dealing with fears, conquering obstacles, and accepting

discomfort. Yet, these experiences help to shape our character and strengthen our resilience.

We learn our inner strength, determination, and capacity for growth when we face challenges

head on. Each stumbling block becomes an opportunity for self-discovery and a step toward a

more authentic self. Finding oneself is a continuous process of growth and change, not a

destination. Our perspectives and priorities shift as we grow and gain new experiences. It is

critical to embrace these developments rather than resist them. We allow ourselves to adapt,

learn, and continue uncovering hidden aspects of our identity by remaining open to change.

Self-discovery becomes a lifelong endeavor that promotes personal evolution and fulfillment.

Finding oneself is a life-changing journey that culminates in an in-depth awareness of one's

true identity, passions, and purpose. It necessitates embracing one's uniqueness, exploring

one's passions, practicing self-reflection, confronting challenges, and embracing growth. This

process enables us to live an authentic life that is in line with our values and goals. As we

embark on this journey, keep in mind that discovering ourselves is a never-ending and

honoring journey of self-discovery.

In terms of liberation, the moment we begin to gradually ask, we commence to have an

affirmation about how we ought to spend our lives. The art of liberation is not to be a slave to

what other people once knew, but to question whether these beliefs have a purpose or meaning

that will give me a sense of satisfaction in my finite life. People's perspectives change as

generations pass and technology grows and expands. Time and experiences have a

psychological effect on us. We no longer consent to society's approval; rather, we start

challenging their outlook to the world at times. This is for people who adhere to their freedom

so much that they become rebellious. It is beneficial to practice freedom. Yet, several

individuals continue to perform this act blindly. For me, I've reached a point where I don't need
to impose my beliefs on others, but liberating myself means I'm not consumed by what other

people think is right. Liberating myself entails quietly evolving into a person capable of dealing

with situations that are beyond my control. I will ensure that my own family will possess a

similarly respectful attitude towards the future when it comes to how they perceive situations

and interact with others. Liberating ourselves from the opinions of others and creating our own

definition of how life should be. The discouragement of being odd has always been present

over time, especially among those who are opposed to and do not do what others expect.

Nevertheless, being unique means that you do not share the same insights as others. People

seeking approval as well as validation from others are prevalent in a world driven by social

interactions. Whether in personal or professional relationships, the desire for acceptance can

have a significant impact on our thoughts, actions, and overall sense of self-worth. The path to

true fulfillment and self-discovery, however, lies in breaking free from this reliance on the

approval of others. This essay seeks to investigate the significance of not seeking approval from

others and embracing authenticity as a means of living a more genuine and fulfilling life.

Society has taught us that the views and assessments of others are the key to our happiness.

We are taught from a young age to seek validation by striving to meet the demands of society,

adhering to norms, and complying with arbitrary success standards. This pursuit, however, can

become a never-ending cycle, leaving us dissatisfied and separated from our true selves. The

truth is that seeking approval from others is like constructing our identity on shifting sands,

because people's perceptions and preferences are transient and frequently subjective. When

we let go of the need for approval, we can access our authenticity, which is a source of

confidence and self-assurance. Accepting our distinct qualities, strengths, and passions enables

us to develop a genuine sense of self. Authenticity enables us to make decisions that are

consistent with our values, even if they deviate from societal norms. This newfound confidence
not only boosts our self-esteem, but it also attracts others who value us for who we truly are.

When the opinions of others dictate our thoughts and actions, we are limited to a narrow range

of options. Fear of being judged can stifle personal development by keeping us from taking

risks, exploring new interests, or following unconventional paths. We can foster a mindset that

encourages growth and embark on a journey of self-discovery by breaking free from the

constraints of external approval. We become more open to new experiences, less afraid of

failure, and eager to learn from every outcome, allowing us to reach our full potential.

Authenticity has a knock-on effect on our interpersonal relationships. We entice real

connections based on mutual respect, understanding, and appreciation when we stop looking

for approval. Because it encourages open communication and vulnerability, authenticity paves

the way for deep and meaningful relationships. We foster an environment of acceptance and

empathy by being true to ourselves and inviting others to do the same. These genuine

relationships serve as a strong support system, guiding us through life's ups and downs with

unwavering support. In a world rife with pressures from society and the need for approval,

breaking free from the chains of seeking approval from others is critical. Embracing

authenticity allows us to live a more fulfilling life filled with self-assurance, growth as

individuals, and genuine relationships. Remember that other people's opinions have no bearing

on our worth or happiness. We can liberate ourselves and embark on a journey of self-

discovery by prioritizing our own values, passions, and aspirations, embracing the beauty of

our true selves. As I previously stated, our uniqueness stems from all that we have gone

through in the course of our lives, which determines us from others in the world. And it can

never be pointed out to us for containing an entirely distinct manner of thinking. There are

occasions in which we encounter a problem that another individual faces as well, but we reach

distinct conclusions because we look at the problem individually. By analyzing this, I can state
that my philosophy contrasts with this person's. Regardless of who is exactly right or wrong,

both of us have our respective methods of philosophical discussions in order to come to a

conclusion about each of the options that we selected. It's similar to feeling behind in life. There

is no such thing as feeling behind in life because we are clearly on paths that vary. I constantly

feel this way considering everything around me occasionally puts pressure on me. I'm in a

situation where all of my perplexities have submerged me because I've lost my sense of one's

own self. I accept responsibility for the scenario occurring if there is no personhood discipline.

It is not only your past and present self that have to opt what course of action you should take

in life, but you are also responsible for developing a future self that you aspire to be. All of the

things I've mentioned earlier have an enormous impact on how to become the person you

genuinely want to be if you just keep working toward becoming a better person. There is no

guarantee that tomorrow is going to be easy, and the reality about philosophy is that it should

be embraced solely, even if it makes you anxious. "The truth will set you free," it is stated and

the moment you let it go and permitted possible concepts. Even if they tear your soul but give

you acceptance, you will be free of all turbulences. I would like to become proficient in the

mantra "it is what it is" in my personal affairs due to the fact that if an event is uncontrollable, it

should be released from my mind's grasp. For it ought to involve the process of acceptance as

you move forward, but bear in mind to take all of the knowledge gained with you given that

they are going to render you a person with greater resilience in any subsequent challenges that

you are bound to [Link] a world that frequently emphasizes conformity and homogeneity,

the value of being distinctive cannot be overstated. Each individual has a unique set of skills,

perspectives, and experiences that set them apart from others. Embracing and celebrating

one's individuality not only benefits personal development but also benefits society as a whole.

individuals and communities. One of the most important aspects of being unique is self-

discovery. By embracing our uniqueness, we embark on a journey to better understand

ourselves. This entails exploring our passions, values, and talents, as well as aligning our

actions with our true selves. We escape the pressures of societal expectations and cultivate a

strong sense of self when we dare to be different. This allows us to attain our fullest potential

while finding fulfillment in our endeavors. Accepting one's individuality promotes diversity in

both behavior and thought. Each individual's unique background and lived experiences

catalyst for positive change and inspires others to discover their own potential. Being one-of-a-

kind frequently entails facing hurdles and overcoming setbacks. Those who deviate from the

norm may face opposition and criticism in a conformist society. However, these difficulties

provide opportunities for personal development and resilience. Accepting one's individuality

necessitates bravery and a strong sense of self-belief. We gain confidence, adaptability, and the

ability to persevere in the face of adversity by overcoming these obstacles. Finally, these

characteristics contribute to our own personal growth and make us more capable to face life's

challenges.
A society that acknowledges individuality and upholds the dignity of all of its members. Mutual

acceptance and comprehension are promoted when people are urged to be themselves. We

bridge cultural, racial, and ideological divides. Being uncommon is not only a personal trait; it is

also an influential force that creates people as well as communities. By accepting our

individuality, we embark on a journey of self-discovery, diversity, inspiration, and

perseverance. The celebration of individuality enriches our lives and fosters a peaceful society

our distinctive characteristics as we navigate the complexities of life, and let our uniqueness

stand out clearly illuminating the path for others to follow. In a world that is constantly

existence, we shift our focus from dwelling on problems and obstacles to recognizing the

opportunities and possibilities that surround us. This shift in perspective gives us the ability to

face challenges with resilience and optimism. Improves Mental Health: Gratitude has a major

understand their experiences and challenges. This comprehension makes it possible to connect

with them on a deeper level, increasing our empathy. We bridge the gap between different

people and create a sense of unity in our interactions by accepting and valuing diverse

perspectives. Knowledge of the disparities of others is critical to fostering tolerance in society.

from ours. We can dismantle prejudices, stereotypes, and biases by accepting that diversity is

an inherent characteristic of humanity. When we recognize and value other people's

differences, we become more open-minded, appreciating the complexity that comes from a

tapestry of languages, customs, religions, and traditions. Tolerance fosters an environment in

which individuals feel safe expressing their unique identities, fostering a sense of belonging for

all. Involving with people who have opposing viewpoints challenges our own and fosters

personal growth. When we come across ideas, beliefs, or values that are different from our

own, we are forced to reconsider and broaden our understanding. This procedure promotes

critical thinking, introspection, and adaptability. We gain a broader understanding of the world

by actively seeking out diverse viewpoints and lived experiences, allowing us to become more

informed and well-rounded people. Embracing differences allows us to learn and improve

ourselves on a continuous basis. Understanding others' differences paves the way for building

bridges and promoting collaboration across diverse communities. When we take the time to

greater capacity for effective communication and cooperation. By leveraging the unique

strengths and insights of individuals from diverse backgrounds, we can tackle complex

problems and generate innovative solutions. Collaboration between diverse groups also

progress. Understanding the differences between people is essential in encouraging empathy,

tolerance, personal growth, and collaboration. We can build bridges that cross boundaries and

foster a more inclusive and harmonious society by embracing diversity and valuing the

distinctive views of others. This understanding allows us to fully grasp the beauty and depth
