The Text:

Pollution is caused by many things we do in our daily lives. One big cause is the smoke and
chemicals that come from cars and factories. When we drive cars or trucks, they burn fuel like
gasoline, which releases smoke into the air. Factories make things we use, but they also release
smoke and chemicals into the air and water when they make stuff.
Another cause of pollution is trash. When we throw litter everywhere , it can end up in rivers,
oceans, or just sitting on the ground. This can harm animals and plants, and even make people sick
if they drink contaminated water or breathe in polluted air. Even simple things like using too much
electricity or cutting down too many trees can cause pollution. When we use a lot of electricity,
power plants burn more fuel to make it, which releases more smoke and chemicals into the air. And
when we cut down trees, we take away the plants that help clean the air.
