Final Project for BBA Students 40 Marks
Course: Project Management
Project Title: "Planning and Managing a Real-World Project in Pakistan’s Socio-
Economic Environment"
Project Description:
Pakistan’s growing economy demands efficient project management across sectors like
construction, IT, manufacturing, education, and healthcare. However, projects often face
delays, budget overruns, and stakeholder conflicts due to unique challenges such as political
instability, inflation, bureaucratic processes, and cultural factors.
In this project, you are required to select a real or hypothetical project in Pakistan
(examples: launching a new IT startup, setting up a school in a rural area, building a housing
society, introducing a solar energy solution, etc.).
Students must apply project management principles to plan, execute, monitor, and close the
selected project, while considering the local challenges and risk factors.
Project Requirements:
1. Project Identification
o Define the project: Name, objectives, scope, location, and stakeholders.
2. Project Planning
o Develop a Project Charter.
o Create a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
o Identify major milestones and deliverables.
o Prepare a basic Gantt Chart for scheduling.
3. Risk Management Plan
o Identify at least 5 key risks specific to Pakistan’s environment (political risks,
inflation, supply chain issues, etc.).
o Suggest mitigation strategies for each risk.
4. Resource Planning and Budgeting
o Outline the human, financial, and material resources needed.
o Provide an estimated project budget.
5. Monitoring and Control Strategy
o Describe how you would monitor progress (KPIs, status meetings, tools like MS
Project, Asana, or manual tracking).
o Suggest corrective actions in case of deviations.
6. Project Closure Plan
o Describe steps for successful project closure (final deliverables, documentation,
lessons learned).
7. Lessons Learned and Recommendations
o Reflect on possible real-world challenges if this project were executed in
Pakistan.
o Suggest improvements for future project management in the country.
