Writing Skills ( to be done in fair notebook)

Notice Writing:-

1. Draft a notice in not more than 50 words for your school notice board informing the
students about the sale of old sports goods at your school. You are Rohini / Rohan the
secretary of the sports club of Alka Public School, Indira Nagar Faridabad.

2. Draft a notice in not more than 50 words informing the residents of a power cut for a
few days for maintenance work.

3. Draft a notice for your school notice board informing the students about the
International Book Fair is being held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from 7th to 14th
February 2020 as the librarian.

Letter to Editor:

1. The youth of the country are very vigilant these days and feel concerned about the
problems being faced by the people. Write a letter to the editor of a national daily urging
him to highlight the role of the youth in eradicating the problems of poverty,
unemployment and corruption. You are Rani/ Robit, 15 Gulbarga Society, Surat. (120-
150 words)

2. As a regular commuter by bus from NOIDA to Delhi, you have been witnessing rash
driving by the bus drivers daily without an exception. Write a letter to the Editor. The
Times of India' in 120-150 words drawing the attention of the General Manager, Delhi
Transport Corporation to this problem. You are Priti/Prakash, 15 Udyog Vihar, NOIDA.

an invitation to be sent to friends and relatives on the occasion of your elder sister's
marriage. Prepare the invitation giving your necessary details in not more than 50 words.

3. You are Puneet/Pinki of Sonipat living at 34, Udampur Colony. You decide to hold a
dinner parthy to congratulate your grandparents on their golden wedding anniversary.
Draft a formal invitation in not more than 50 words .
