Modes of Inlet Operation
Critical : Shock positioned at the inlet
Supercritical : Shock positioned at the diverging portion of the subsonic diffuser.
Subcritical : Shock positioned at the vertex of the conical center body
The flow rate is too low meng < mmax BP >Critical value

The flow rate is at the designed rate. meng = mmax The flow rate is too high.
