KEY FUNCTIONS

In weight indicator mode, by pressing this key for more than 5 seconds the user
will access the configuration Menu, while pressing this key for less than 5 seconds
the user will access the piece counter function.

In weight indicator mode, by pressing this key, the user can totalize the weight
displayed. In piece counter mode, by pressing this key, the user can set the
quantity of items to sample.

This key allows the user to store the data in the memory while setting the
parameters. It is used also to press the weight.

In weight indicator mode, this key allows the user to tare the weight displayed on
the instrument and display the net weight: the Tare led will light up to indicate
that there is a tare set. To go back to the gross weight display completely unload

the system and press the again.

In weight indicator mode, pressing this key allows the user to totalize the value of
the weight if the value of the weight displayed is less or equal to the amount of
divisions can be set to zero ≤ 2% of Max . The led on Zero will light up to indicate
this status.

LED FUNCTIONS

Count : the symbol lights up when the piece counter function is on.

Func : not used.

* : the symbol lights up when the totalizing function is on.

Tare : the symbol lights up when the net weight is viewed as a consequence of a previously
entered semiautomatic tare

Stable : the symbol lights up when the weight is stable ( this function depends on the values
set in parameters “P11” and “P12”). Necessary condition for the weight datum to be printed and/or
sent via serial connection.

Zero : the symbol lights up when the device shows zero with a deviation ≤ +/- 0.25 e.

Low battery : the symbol lights up when the battery is flat. Please connect the power supply cord
provided to the wall socket (230 VAC).

AC : the symbol lights up when the battery is recharging, that is when the power supply cord is
connected to the wall socket (230 VAC).

- 10 -
SEMIAUTOMATIC ZERO

 THE FUNCTION IS LOST WHEN TURNING THE INSTRUMENT OFF

While the stable weight is displayed, press in order to set to zero the variations in small
divisions over the zero of the weighing system. The ZERO Led lights up to indicate that the deviation
is ≤ +/- 0.25 e.

Please note that this autozero setting will be reset when turning off the device. When the
device will be restarted, it will display the weight that had been previously set to zero.

 ZERO POINT IS STORED WHEN TURNING THE INSTRUMENT OFF

This function works only with parameter “P13 = 2”

While the stable weight is displayed, press + in order to set the tare to zero
the variations in small divisions over the zero. The ZERO Led lights up to indicate that the deviation
is ≤ +/- 0.25 e. This function won't be lost once the indicator is turned off .

SUBTRACTIVE TARE DEVICE

Please note that this function is to be used only with weighing platforms

Place the item that needs to be set to zero (tare) on the platform and press while the weight is
displayed and the semiautomatic tare will be set. The display then shows the net weight (starting
from 0) and the Tare led lights up to indicate the presence of set tare.
Please note that this tare storage will be reset when turning off the instrument. When the device will
be restarted it will display the weight that had been previously set to zero.

DELETING THE SET TARE VALUE

Remove the item which has been previously set to zero (tare) from the platform: the weight of the

item will be displayed with negative sign. At this point, press to disable the tare function and
set the platform to zero again (the tare led turns off).

- 11 -
TOTALIZING FUNCTION

While the weight is displayed, the user will be able to totalize the displayed weight provided that the
weight is positive and stable.

Press the button to totalize the displayed weight which will be saved. The * led will light up to
indicate that the totalizing function is on and the totalized weight will remain displayed (locked
weight).
To disable the totalizing function (locked weight) and go back to the weight indicator function, press

the key again.

To totalize another weight value, press the key again: it will be possible only if the indicator
will pass through the zero position.

To set the totalized weight to zero with the device in totalizing mode ( led * on) press and then

press again to go back to the weight display.

To display the totalized weight with an unload weighing system (no items loaded) press the

key and then press to go back to the weight display.

PIECE COUNTER FUNCTION

Check that 0 is displayed (unloaded weighing system).

Load the quantity of items to sample on the weighing system and wait for the stable weight led
(stable) to light up.

Press the key: the message “Count” will be displayed. Then press the key and the
value “C00000” will appear. Now the user needs to set the numeric value corresponding to the

the items loaded on the system by using the key to select the quantity and by pressing the

key to set the numeric value.

Press the key to confirm.

The quantity which has been sampled will be displayed (in number of items) and the Count led will
light up to indicate that the piece counter function is on.

At this point, depending on the system's maximum load, place the load on the weighing system to
know the number of items it consists of.

- 12 -
To go back to the weight indicator function press the key.

To go back to the piece counter function regarding the last sample performed while the system was

on weight display, press and then press the key twice.

AVERAGE WEIGHT OF HEADS OF CATTLE

Load the heads on the platform, press at the same time the keys + , the display shows
the message “---- ctn ----“, from that moment begins the counting of sampling time set, at the end the
display shows the average weight calculated by the system (all LEDs lights up).
To unlock the display and return to weight displaying, unload the scale and press again the keys

+ .

NET/GROSS FUNCTION ( MANUAL BATCHING)

This function allows to perform a manual batching of more products on the scale. Load the first
product on the platform, the display shows the weight of the first product loaded, at this point press

the key, the display shows "0" and the TARE LED lights up to indicate the presence of a

inserted tare. Load the second product on the platform and the press again , the display shows
"0", and so on for the other products.

At the end, keep pressed the key for 5 seconds to come back to the gross weight (total
weight), the TARE LED lights off to indicate the gross weight displaying.
