Today we will talk about the aspects (drishti) of Lal Kitab.

0:05
And about the permanent houses (pakke ghar) of Lal Kitab.
0:11
And what are the "first houses" and "later houses"?
0:19
Before understanding the aspects, it is very important to mention what is meant by
"first" and "later" houses.
0:33
The "first" and "later" houses mean that the planets from the ascendant (first house) to
the sixth house are in the "first houses."
0:42
Planets sitting in these houses are called planets of the "first houses."
0:53
And planets or houses from the 7th to the 12th house are called "later" planets or "later"
houses.
1:03
For example:
1:11
The first house, second house, third house, fourth house, fifth house, and sixth
house—these are the "first houses."
1:25
Similarly, the seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth houses—that is, from the
7th to the 12th house—are called the "later houses."
1:46
If any planet is in houses 1 through 6, it will be called a planet sitting in the "first
houses."
1:56
Similarly, a planet sitting in houses 7 through 12 will be called a planet sitting in the
"later houses."
2:11
What is the meaning of "first" and "later" houses?
2:16
It means that the "first houses" cast aspects upon the "later houses."
2:27
According to the rules of aspects in Lal Kitab, the "first houses" aspect the "later
houses," but the "later houses" do not have any aspects. They only cast aspects in some
special conditions, which we will count later.
2:51
So these were the "first" and "later" houses.
2:55
Now let's talk about the aspects of the planets or the houses.
3:09
The first house aspects the seventh house with a 100% aspect.
3:19
And the fourth house aspects the tenth house with its 100% aspect.
3:27
Now, what does a 100% aspect mean? It means we can consider them to be in
conjunction. We can understand it as the planet in the first house and the planet in the
seventh house are conjunct.
4:03
To understand with another example, when a planet in the first house casts its 100%
aspect on the seventh house, if there is a planet in the seventh house, it will send 100%
of its results to that planet and will influence it according to its 100% effect.
4:28
The same rule applies from the fourth to the tenth house. If any planet is in the fourth
house, it will affect the planet in the tenth house with its 100% aspect.
4:50
These are the 100% aspects.
4:58
Now let's talk about the 50% aspect.
5:03
A planet in the third house aspects the eleventh house with a 50% aspect.
5:16
And a planet in the third house also aspects the ninth house with its 50% aspect.
5:28
The same concept applies here: if there is any planet in the third house, it will affect the
planet in the eleventh or ninth house with its 50% aspect. Whether it is a friend or an
enemy, and whether the aspect will be good or bad, we will consider later.
6:18
A planet sitting in the fifth house aspects the ninth house with a 50% aspect. This
means that any planet in the fifth house will affect the planet sitting in the ninth house
with its 50% aspect.
6:59
Now come the 25% aspects.
7:04
A planet in the second house aspects the sixth house with a 25% aspect.
7:23
And the planet in the sixth house aspects the twelfth house with its 25% aspect.
7:34
This means if there is a planet in the second house and a planet in the sixth house, the
planet in the second house will affect the planet in the sixth house with its 25% aspect.
7:56
Similarly, a planet in the sixth house affects the planet in the twelfth house with its 25%
aspect.
8:15
Now, a very important point applies here.
8:24
First, let me tell you about the backward aspect (vakri drishti), which will make this
absolutely clear.
8:31
A planet in the eighth house aspects the second house with a backward, or reverse,
aspect. Always remember that a backward aspect is always negative. A planet in the
eighth house will only harm the planet in the second house, whether it is a friend or an
enemy.
9:07
Now, let's return to our point.
9:11
I just told you that the second house aspects the sixth, and the sixth house aspects the
twelfth.
9:29
Now one thing will become clear to you. If there is a planet in the second house, a
planet in the sixth house, a planet in the eighth house, and a planet in the twelfth house,
what will be the effect?
9:46
The planet in the eighth house, with its backward aspect, will look at the second house
and spoil the planet located there, regardless of whether it's a friend or foe.
10:12
According to the rules of aspects, when the planet in the second house becomes
malefic (inauspicious), it will cast its malefic influence on the planet in the sixth house.
10:29
This means the planet in the eighth house made the planet in the second house malefic,
and the planet in the second house made the planet in the sixth house malefic.
10:48
Now, the aspect from the sixth house will fall on the twelfth house. Since the planet in
the sixth house has already become malefic (due to the chain effect from the eighth and
second houses), its influence on the twelfth house will also be malefic.
11:31
This means that if the eighth house is empty, it's fine. But if it is not empty, then the
planets in the second, sixth, and twelfth houses will only give malefic results.
11:56
Now let's talk about some special aspects that are given only to Mercury and Saturn.
12:06
If Mercury is in the ninth house, it aspects the third house. This is also considered a
backward aspect, and it is a reverse aspect. This means if Mercury is in the ninth house,
it will only harm the planet in the third house. As I told you before, a backward aspect is
always considered negative.
12:46
Similarly, if Mercury is in the twelfth house, it aspects the sixth house with its backward
aspect. So if Mercury is in the twelfth house, it will harm the planet in the sixth house,
making it malefic. Its effect will only be negative. These are special aspects given to
Mercury.
13:24
Now let's talk about another planet.
13:29
If Saturn is in the sixth house, it aspects the second house with its backward aspect.
13:49
And the same rule applies: a backward aspect is always considered negative. This
means if Saturn is in the sixth house and there is another planet in the second house,
Saturn will harm the planet in the second house and make its effects malefic. These are
special aspects given only to Saturn and Mercury.
14:26
So today we saw what "first" and "later" houses are, and we saw the aspects. In Lal
Kitab, aspects are given to the houses, not the planets. However, in some places, the
author has also given aspects to planets, which we will discuss later.
15:02
Now we look at the permanent houses (pakke ghar) of the planets. What are permanent
houses? It means that each planet has been given a house where it holds its full
influence. We can call it the house of its significance (karak bhav).
15:30
For example, in the first house, the Sun is considered permanent. The first house is the
permanent house of the Sun.
15:55
The second house is the permanent house of Jupiter.
16:10
In the third house, Mars is in its permanent house. The third house is the permanent
house of Mars.
16:27
The fourth house is the permanent house of the Moon.
16:35
The fifth house is the permanent house of Jupiter.
16:41
The sixth house is the permanent house of Ketu.
16:46
The seventh house is the permanent house of Mercury and Venus.
17:07
Similarly, the eighth house is the permanent house of Mars and Saturn.
17:18
The ninth house is the permanent house of Jupiter.
17:27
The tenth house is the permanent house of Saturn.
17:33
The eleventh house is the permanent house of Jupiter.
17:39
And the twelfth house is the permanent house of Rahu.
17:49
This means if an enemy of the Sun is in the first house, it will make the Sun's effects
malefic. If an enemy of Jupiter is in the second, fifth, ninth, or eleventh house, it will
make Jupiter's effects malefic.
18:11
If there is an enemy of the Moon in the fourth house, it will harm the fourth house and
the Moon. Similarly, if there is an enemy of Mars in the third house, it will make Mars
malefic.
18:47
We can understand it this way: for example, if Mercury is in the third house, Mars will be
afflicted. If the Sun is in the sixth house, then Mercury and Ketu will be afflicted.
19:21
In the fourth house, no planet is considered malefic because the fourth house is the
permanent house of the Moon, and it is also the Moon's own sign (Cancer). The Moon is
considered the mother, and at the feet of the mother, no planet gives inauspicious
effects, unless an act is committed against that planet. Even Rahu and Ketu do not give
their inauspicious effects in the fourth house unless they have been made malefic. We
will talk about how they are made malefic later.
20:12
There is one thing to understand here. What do we mean by "permanent houses"? I have
listed them for you, but what does it mean?
20:25
For example, whatever planet is in the second house, its effect will also be under the
influence of Jupiter, because it is the permanent house of Jupiter.
20:42
Before making predictions in Lal Kitab, some rules should be checked and verified.
20:58
Before making a prediction by seeing any planet in any house, look at all the rules and
then start predicting. For example:
21:12
If any planet is in the twelfth house, you know that this is the permanent house of Rahu.
This means that whichever planet is in this house, it will also have the influence of Rahu.
The sign of Pisces is here, which is Jupiter's sign. This means that the planet will also
have the effects of Jupiter. Venus is exalted in Pisces, so the effects of Venus will also
be counted for that planet. Ketu is debilitated in the twelfth house, and so is Rahu, so
their effects will also be considered.
22:15
This means that if there is any planet in the twelfth house, to examine that planet, we
will also have to look at Rahu's position in the chart—whether it is good or bad,
auspicious or inauspicious, exalted or debilitated. Similarly, we will have to see Venus's
position in the horoscope, whether it is auspicious or inauspicious. And likewise, we will
have to look at Jupiter and Ketu.
22:59
To understand with another example, if there is any planet in the second house, the sign
of Taurus is in the second house, and Taurus is Venus's sign. This means that planet will
have the effects of Venus. And this house is the permanent house of Jupiter, meaning it
will also have the effects of Jupiter. The Moon is exalted in Taurus, so the effects of the
Moon will also be counted for that planet. No planet is debilitated in Taurus.
23:49
This means for any planet in the second house, Jupiter's position will also be checked
to see if it's auspicious or inauspicious in the chart. Venus's position will also be
seen—how it is placed in the horoscope, whether it is itself malefic or sitting in its
auspicious houses. And in the same way, the Moon will also be looked at to see which
house it is in and whether it is giving auspicious or inauspicious results.
24:34
Apply this rule to every house. This rule is very important for prediction.
24:47
Today we saw the permanent houses, the aspects of the houses, and along with the
permanent houses, we also saw the "first" and "later" houses. Remember, the "later"
houses do not have aspects.
25:13
And we also saw some rules. By following these rules, we can make the correct
prediction for any planet.
25:32
That's all for today. Thank you.

English Translation
0:00
Alright, so today we will start with Lal Kitab. Before starting Lal Kitab, let's remember
Pandit ji.
0:08
The author of Lal Kitab, the creator of Lal Kitab, is Pandit Rup Chand Joshi ji.
0:21
Pandit ji was born into a Hindu Brahmin family.
0:27
Pandit ji was from the village of Pharwala in the Nurmahal tehsil (sub-district) of the
Jalandhar district in Punjab.
0:43
Pandit ji worked as an Accounts Officer in the defense department of British India.
0:57
And he retired in 1954.
1:06
The author of Lal Kitab is Pandit Rup Chand Joshi ji. Whenever we practice Lal Kitab, we
will definitely remember him.
1:19
Look, in Indian astrology, among the various systems of Indian astrology,
1:25
one system is becoming very, very popular, which we know by the name of Lal Kitab.
1:37
This Lal Kitab came to us in five texts. The first is Lal Kitab ke Farman (The Edicts of Lal
Kitab), which was from 1939.
1:50
After that came Lal Kitab ke Arman (The Desires of Lal Kitab) in 1940.
1:56
The third part of Lal Kitab came in 1941,
2:02
which Pandit ji himself named Gutka (a small, condensed book).
2:07
After that, Lal Kitab ke Ilm-e-Samudrik ki buniyad par (based on the knowledge of
palmistry) in 1942, and then,
2:17
Ilm-e-Samudrik ki Lal Kitab (The Lal Kitab of Palmistry) in 1952.
2:26
Sir, there are two types of knowledge. One is practical knowledge, and the other is
bookish knowledge.
2:33
There is a big difference between the two. Books are a person's best friend.
2:41
But what happens is that if...
2:47
...the writer...
2:49
...if the writer or, say, the translator...
2:54
...says something and it gets misprinted...
3:02
...or if due to an error or some reason, something is written elsewhere, the sequence
gets broken. As soon as the sequence is broken,
3:14
we cannot find the answer at that time because books do not give answers.
3:22
So there are two types of knowledge: one is our bookish knowledge, and the other is
practical knowledge. So we will approach this a bit practically.
3:29
Actually, not just a bit, we will do it completely practically.
3:36
You will not need any book. After our course is complete, I will tell you to get the 1952
edition and read it.
3:49
[Silence]
4:11
Can you see my screen?
4:18
Yes, okay.
4:23
[Background noise]
4:33
Lal Kitab, sir, Lal Kitab is...
4:38
...only and only about karmas (actions).
4:45
Keep your actions right, and you don't need to perform any remedies.
4:50
Just keep your actions right; you don't need remedies. Now, what is meant by 'karma'
here? Karma here doesn't mean that you leave everything, become a saintly person, an
ascetic, and go to some hermitage. That's not what karma means here.
5:10
In every house, in every 'khana' (house), in every house, some planet or the other... every
planet tells you something.
5:17
It tells you one negative point and one positive point.
5:22
Every planet tells you two things: one negative and one positive.
5:29
For example, let's say Saturn is in the first house.
5:36
If Saturn is in the first house, what is it telling you?
5:43
It says, "Get angry, and I will not give you success."
5:49
It's Saturn. You know that the Sun has enmity with Saturn.
5:58
So what does Saturn say? "Have conflicts with your father, don't pay attention to your
father, and I will give you failure. Drink alcohol, and I will give you failure."
6:13
"Get angry, be furious, and I will give you failure."
6:19
"Make your speech harsh, and I will give you failure."
6:25
Saturn, sitting in the first house, is telling you this.
6:30
But Saturn, sitting in the first house, is also telling you,
6:37
"Struggle, and I will give you success. Don't drink alcohol."
6:42
"Don't drink alcohol, and I will give you success."
6:52
"Obey your father, don't have conflicts with your father, and I will give you success."
7:00
Every planet, sitting in a house, says one thing—a negative thing and a positive thing. So,
it's up to us which form of it we adopt.
7:13
Saturn is considered debilitated (neech ka) in the first house.
7:21
But still, if we use the positive form of Saturn,
7:27
then our Saturn will never give us failure. If we don't drink alcohol, don't have conflicts
with our father, and keep control over our speech...
7:39
...or, for instance, over our anger...
7:45
...then our Saturn, by making us struggle, will surely make us successful.
7:53
The Lal Kitab verse you see before you is: "Insan banda khud likhe apne lekh, vidhata
kalam chale khud karam par apne, jhagde akal mein kismat ho." (Man himself writes his
own destiny; the creator's pen moves based on one's own karma, let there be a clash
between intellect and fate).
8:01
Here, understand what is meant by intellect (akal) and fate (kismat). Intellect is said to
be Mercury (Budh),
8:14
and fate is Jupiter (Guru).
8:20
Jupiter is air. Jupiter is air.
8:25
And Jupiter is the master of both worlds. Which two worlds? One world is this one in
which we live.
8:32
Where there is air, and also birds, which breathe.
8:38
We all breathe. We all need oxygen.
8:44
And our fate is also Jupiter.
8:52
So, air is everywhere. It is in this world and also in the divine realm where the gods
reside.
8:59
And Mercury (Budh) is a boundary, the sky.
9:08
Mercury is the sky.
9:13
A person breathes; there is air inside them, and there is also air outside. If there is a
glass bottle, there is air inside it and also air outside it.
9:21
If a glass bottle is closed, if a lid is put on top, then the air inside cannot come out, and
the outside air cannot go in.
9:28
This thing that puts on the lid, that is Mercury (Budh).
9:45
And based on this very principle, there is a conflict between Mercury and Jupiter. Jupiter
has no enmity with anyone, but Mercury has a conflict with Jupiter.
9:54
Mercury tells Jupiter, "Either become the master of this world or become the master of
that world."
10:08
"Meaning, this world in which we are living, either become the master of this world or..."
10:16
"...become the master of the divine realm."
10:19
This is what Mercury says to Jupiter, and on this principle, they have a conflict. Jupiter
does not conflict with anyone, meaning it won't even conflict with Mercury, but Mercury
conflicts with it.
10:31
When we talk about friends and enemies, we will understand this in more detail.
10:44
Let's look at this verse again: "Insan banda khud likhe apne lekh, vidhata kalam chale
khud karam par apne, jhagde akal mein kismat ho." What did Pandit ji say here?
10:57
He said that man is bound by his own actions (karmas).
11:03
Man is bound by his actions, and those actions have been written by the Creator
(Vidhata) with his pen.
11:15
The Creator has written them with his pen. In the second line, what did Pandit ji say?
11:20
"Kalam chale khud karam par apne, jhagde akal mein kismat ho." (The pen moves on its
own karma, let there be a clash between intellect and fate.)
11:26
If we extract the entire essence, the meaning here is that man is bound by his actions,
and those actions have been written by the Creator, i.e., God.
11:32
But if a person wields his own pen...
11:45
...and walks on the path of his own actions... We are talking about karma again here.
11:51
...if a person uses his pen on his own actions—meaning, if he wants to become a doctor
and has decided in his mind to become a doctor but is going in another
direction—then...
12:06
...the Creator, on the blank page of his destiny, will write the same thing that the person
wants.
12:20
So, it's all about karma here. Lal Kitab says...
12:27
...keep your actions right, and you won't need to do anything at all.
12:35
But knowingly or unknowingly, we sometimes perform good deeds, and sometimes we
also perform bad deeds.
12:40
We will understand this in more detail later.
12:47
How is a Lal Kitab horoscope made? "Rashi chhod, nakshatra bhala, nahi koi panchang
liya, Mesh rashi khud lagna mein likhkar, 12 pakke ghar maan gaya." (Leave the signs,
forget the nakshatras, no almanac was taken; writing Aries in the ascendant itself, 12
permanent houses were accepted.)
12:55
In Lal Kitab, nakshatras (lunar mansions) have no importance. In Lal Kitab, rashis
(zodiac signs) have no importance. And in Lal Kitab, the panchang (almanac) also has
no importance. We neither need signs, nor nakshatras, nor any panchang.
13:15
Only our Kaal Purush Kundli (natural zodiac chart) will be made—that is, 12 houses and
nine planets. The entire Lal Kitab will run on just this.
13:27
Here, the sign has no importance. Here, the nakshatra has no meaning, and the
panchang has no meaning.
13:41
Only the Kaal Purush Kundli will be made—meaning 12 of our houses and nine planets.
Our entire Lal Kitab is based on this.
13:49
Pandit ji has written another very good thing.
13:57
"Abhi toh chaak par jaari hai raqs mitti ka, abhi kumhar ki niyat badal bhi sakti hai." (The
dance of the clay is still ongoing on the potter's wheel; the potter's intention can still
change.)
14:03
Here, the potter (kumhar) refers to the Creator (Vidhata), to God.
14:10
"The dance of the clay is still ongoing on the potter's wheel." A potter spins his wheel
and tries to make something from the clay, or is making something from the clay. Let's
say he is making a pot.
14:18
Or he's making a lamp, or anything else.
14:35
But what does the next line say? "The potter's intention can still change."
14:43
Again, the whole point comes back to our karma.
14:48
"The dance of the clay is still ongoing on the potter's wheel; the potter's intention can
still change."
14:50
The actions we are doing, good or bad...
14:56
...if we are doing bad deeds, then what the potter, the Creator, has written will happen.
15:03
But if we have improved our actions, we have improved our karma and started walking
on a good path,
15:11
then "the potter's intention can still change." So, instead of a lamp being made, it might
become a pot that can be used to give people water.
15:25
[Silence]
15:40
So, "the dance of the clay is still ongoing on the potter's wheel; the potter's intention can
still change." According to the actions we are doing, the Creator is writing with his pen
what will happen to us next.
15:55
If we improve our actions, then the Creator will write what we want.
16:12
[Silence]
16:24
The horoscope is open in front of you, and we have to decide the ruling planets.
16:36
As I explained to you,
16:45
whatever sign is in the ascendant... we will see this practically later... whatever the
ascendant sign is, whether it's Pisces, Taurus, or Libra, we write Aries in the ascendant
and then write down the 12 permanent houses just like that.
16:52
Aries in the first house, then Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio,
Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. This will be our Lal Kitab horoscope.
17:15
Here, the signs have no importance, and the nakshatras also have no importance.
17:28
The horoscope and its ruling planets. To decide the ruling planets, there is a short story.
17:35
Every person, every living being, is born from a mother and father. Whether it is a human,
a bird, or any creature, everyone's birth has happened from a mother and father coming
together.
17:42
We know that the Moon is the mother and the Sun is the father.
17:56
[Silence]
18:12
So we wrote Moon in the fourth house and Sun in the fifth house.
18:23
This means that the fourth house...
18:31
...its ruling planet will be the Moon.
18:34
And the fifth house, its ruling planet will be the Sun.
18:37
The Moon is the mother, and the Sun is the father. From the union of these two, two
children were born.
18:45
The first child is Mercury, and the second child is also Mercury.
18:54
One moves towards the Moon, and one towards the Sun. Or we can say, one is dear to
the Moon (mother) and one is dear to the Sun (father).
19:07
Two children were born. Now both children grew up.
19:19
Both children grew up and got married.
19:24
This one got married, so he got a wife. This one got married, so he got a wife.
19:32
Now, both these wives of the two children are extremely beautiful.
19:46
They are so beautiful that, to ensure no one bothers or harasses them, they need a
bodyguard. And the bodyguard is Mars.
19:54
To protect this one, a bodyguard, Mars, was stationed here.
20:01
And for her protection, a Mars was stationed here.
20:09
Now, this bodyguard, Mars...
20:20
...one was placed for this one, and one Mars was placed for that one. Now, understand
the story.
20:29
Now, this bodyguard...
20:33
...lest he do something wrong...
20:37
...look, both wives are very beautiful, extremely beautiful.
20:42
So, to prevent him from doing anything wrong, for this purpose, an advisor was
appointed for him here. And for this one, an advisor was appointed here.
20:49
And that is Jupiter, the Guru.
21:03
So that the advisor can keep an eye on him.
21:08
And this advisor can keep an eye on this one.
21:11
But it's possible that the bodyguard and the advisor might collude and make a plan. For
this, a judge is also needed. If something like this happens in the future, there should be
someone to deliver justice. Therefore, a judge was appointed for them here, and for
these ones, a judge was appointed here.
21:22
This is our Kaal Purush Kundli (natural zodiac chart) prepared, and our ruling planets are
set.
21:46
[Silence]
21:52
The ruling planet of the first house is Mars, so the ruling planet of the eighth house will
also be Mars.
22:03
The ruling planet of the second house is Venus, so the ruling planet of the seventh
house will also be Venus.
22:10
The ruling planet of the third house is Mercury, so the ruling planet of the sixth house
will also be Mercury.
22:17
The ruling planet of the fourth house is the Moon; the ruling planet of the fifth house is
the Sun.
22:27
The ruling planet of the twelfth and ninth houses is Jupiter.
22:33
And the ruling planet of the tenth and eleventh houses is Saturn.
22:39
This Kaal Purush Kundli is ready, and their ruling planets are fixed. Now, always
remember these ruling planets. Wherever Mars may be sitting in the horoscope, when
the first house is discussed, Mars will definitely be looked at to see how it is placed in
the chart—whether it is well-placed or badly placed.
22:52
Similarly, whenever the fourth house is discussed, the Moon will be looked at in the
horoscope to see how the Moon is placed in the chart—whether it's well-placed, badly
placed, afflicted, or spoiled.
23:10
And when the tenth house is ever discussed, Saturn will also be looked at to see where
Saturn is placed in the chart—good, bad, however it is placed.
23:23
This is something we must always remember.
23:38
Whenever the twelfth house is discussed, Jupiter will also be looked at to see how
Jupiter is in the chart. If it's good, then the results of the twelfth house will be good.
23:45
This is just the first condition; there are still many conditions of ours.
23:51
[When the ninth house is discussed,] Jupiter will also be looked at to see how Jupiter is
placed in the horoscope—is it good, bad, in conjunction with whom, in aspect with
whom, or are its enemies placed with it?
23:56
All this will be considered, and then the results of the twelfth house will be decided.
24:31
Is this clear to you? I am giving a small example here; it will become clear.
24:43
[Silence]
24:51
These 12 houses of ours, think of them as plots of land for a little while.
25:01
The first house is Mars's land, and the eighth house is also Mars's land. The tenth and
eleventh houses are Saturn's land. Similarly, the second and seventh houses are Venus's
land.
25:09
Let's say...
25:24
...Rahu sits here. This is an example.
25:30
How will predictions be made? We are looking at a little of that here.
25:36
Rahu is in the eleventh house.
25:40
Now look at this: Rahu is in the eleventh house, and whose land is it? It is Mars's land...
sorry, Saturn's land. Rahu has come onto Saturn's land.
25:51
I haven't told you about the permanent houses (pakke ghar) yet. The eleventh house is
the permanent house of Jupiter. When we get to the permanent houses, this thing I'm
trying to explain will become absolutely clear to you.
26:00
The eleventh house is the permanent house of Jupiter. For instance, Jupiter's
permanent houses are the second, fifth, ninth, eleventh, and twelfth.
26:09
So, the land belongs to Saturn, and the house belongs to Jupiter. Jupiter is gold. This
means that on Saturn's land, a house of gold is built, and Rahu has come there.
26:24
Rahu's color is blue.
26:45
Now, the house that is made of gold has been coated with blue color.
26:53
Now that it's coated in blue, it means that the golden palace has started to rust.
27:00
So, the point is that now, wherever Jupiter is in the horoscope, it will give bad results.
27:12
If it's in good houses, the negative results will be reduced. And if it is sitting in bad
houses, the negative results from Jupiter will be very severe.
27:25
[Silence]
27:33
Because on Saturn's land, a house of Jupiter is built, which is made of gold. Jupiter is
gold.
27:39
So if the golden palace rusts, Jupiter will become afflicted. Meaning, Jupiter's house got
spoiled. If Jupiter's house got spoiled, it means Jupiter got spoiled.
27:50
So wherever Jupiter is in the horoscope, it will give its bad results. Now, let's say this
native, this person, works in a field related to Jupiter. Will they get any benefit?
28:02
No, they won't.
28:08
Because until the remedy for Rahu is performed, Jupiter will not give its good results.
28:13
What are we doing? Or what did we used to do?
28:26
A person works in finance, works in the banking sector, or works related to gold. We
grabbed Jupiter, we saw Jupiter, and we looked at which house Jupiter is in and started
doing remedies for Jupiter.
28:38
We are doing remedies for Jupiter, taking precautions for Jupiter, whereas we should be
looking at who is sitting in Jupiter's permanent house.
28:45
Until the remedy for Rahu is done, Jupiter will not be fixed.
29:02
Sir, sir, would you repeat this one more time?
29:09
The eleventh house is the permanent house of Jupiter, and Rahu is sitting in it. Because
of this, he should not do work related to finance?
29:20
Any work related to Jupiter he does—finance, the banking sector, gold-related work,
work related to religious knowledge or education, like I am giving education to someone,
this is also a Jupiter-related work. So here, the significations of Jupiter...
29:26
...who has spoiled the significations of Jupiter? Rahu has.
29:44
Whose remedy are we doing? Jupiter's. We should be doing the remedy for Rahu. As
soon as Rahu is fixed, Jupiter will automatically start giving its results.
29:57
Okay... and the 10th and 11th are Saturn's, right? So we don't look at Saturn's house
there? The 11th house means... if it's Jupiter's permanent house...
30:03
That's why I'm explaining this slowly so you can understand it.
30:28
Another small example. Let's say...
30:35
Rahu...
30:41
...comes into the first house in someone's horoscope.
30:49
The first house is the permanent house of the Sun.
30:55
When I get all the permanent houses done for you, all these concepts will become clear.

31:01
The first house is the permanent house of the Sun.
31:06
The influence here will be that of the Sun. But Rahu has come and sat here.
31:13
You all know that whenever the Sun and Rahu are in conjunction, it creates a solar
eclipse (Surya Grahan).
31:21
We call that a chart with an eclipse. Now,
31:28
wherever the Sun is in the horoscope, it has been eclipsed.
31:34
Since the Sun is now eclipsed anywhere in the horoscope, before fixing the Sun,
31:40
Rahu must be fixed. Then the Sun will start giving its good results.
31:46
If someone wants a government job, and we see Rahu in the first house,
31:52
it will not let them get a government job, because the Sun is the government; the Sun is
the state.
32:00
The Sun is also the father.
32:04
Whose land is it? It's Mars's land, and the house built on it
32:09
is the Sun's.
32:11
And inside that house, Rahu has arrived. And whenever
32:16
Rahu and the Sun are together, we call it a chart with an eclipse.
32:25
The Sun and Rahu are enemies of each other.
32:31
Now look here. If Rahu is controlled, or if a remedy
32:37
for Rahu is performed...
32:39
...if a remedy is done for the first house,
32:43
or if Rahu is controlled—and the only one who controls Rahu is
32:49
Mars—
32:51
if Mars controls Rahu,
32:55
then a government job is possible.
32:58
I have seen many charts like this, where Rahu is in the first house and
33:03
the native is working in a government job.
33:08
Now, one more thing: people call Lal Kitab a book of charms and spells (tone-totke).
33:15
Lal Kitab is not a book of charms. Lal Kitab
33:20
gives very good predictions. Lal Kitab tells you not just about yourself but about your
entire family,
33:28
about your entire lineage. When we get to the family tree (shijra), when we come to that,
33:35
it will become clear how a member of our family gets affected by our horoscope.
33:47
Now, what will happen in this condition?
33:53
In this condition, Rahu is sitting in the permanent house of Jupiter, so Jupiter is afflicted,
Jupiter has become spoiled. Now, things related to Jupiter, especially living things, will
be affected first.
34:05
After that, non-living things
34:08
will be affected.
34:10
And after that, one's profession.
34:17
If this same person does work related to Jupiter,
34:21
will they be successful or not? And we will get them to do remedies for Jupiter,
34:25
but the remedies should be for Rahu.
34:30
Similarly, if a person does work related to the Sun,
34:35
and Rahu is in the first house, it won't let them succeed. So before fixing the Sun, Rahu
should be fixed.
34:42
As soon as Rahu is fixed or
34:48
controlled, the Sun will start giving its good results. Otherwise, if Rahu
34:55
is in the first house, then no matter which house the Sun is in, it is eclipsed.
35:01
Even if it's not sitting with Rahu, because it is fixed that the first house is
35:07
the Sun's permanent house.
35:10
So as soon as Rahu enters the first house,
35:14
it will cast an eclipse on the Sun.
35:22
Now look at one condition. Try applying this to your own or a relative's chart.
35:28
Whoever has Rahu in the eleventh house...
35:38
The land belongs to Saturn, and the house belongs to Jupiter. Jupiter represents the
elders in our family.
35:46
It is also the grandfather.
35:48
It is also the father. The elders we have,
35:52
they are all Jupiter.
35:55
So for such a person, at the time of their birth...
36:00
...at the time of such a person's birth,
36:02
some elder in our family must have had some problem.
36:08
If the grandfather is alive, he would have had a problem.
36:15
If the grandfather is not alive, then the father would have had a problem, because
Jupiter then takes the form of the father.
36:25
So in that condition,
36:27
if our grandfather is alive in our house,
36:31
then Jupiter is the grandfather. But if for some reason
36:38
the grandfather is not alive in the house and the father is, then now Jupiter will play the
role of the father.
36:44
So in that condition, the father will face problems.
36:48
Because after the grandfather, the eldest person in the house is our father.
36:58
So either the grandfather has a problem, or some other elder, or the father has a
37:04
problem.
37:06
At the time of birth, or six months before birth,
37:10
or up to six months after birth.
37:15
You will get this result first. Whoever has Jupiter and Rahu in the eleventh house, check
this.
37:30
Alright, so we learned how to make a Lal Kitab horoscope,
37:39
and we also saw the rulers of the horoscope.
37:45
The ruling planet of the first house will be Mars, so the ruler of the eighth house will also
be Mars.
37:51
It is better if we understand this according to the signs. You all know this;
37:56
I don't think I need to explain it.
38:03
Is it clear to everyone up to this point?
38:07
Yes, sir.
38:09
Yes, sir.
38:17
Look, let's take a small example of how a Lal Kitab horoscope is made.
38:27
This is someone's chart; it's just a rough
38:33
one. It's a Capricorn ascendant chart.
38:40
In the first house, there is the Capricorn sign, and the signs have been placed in that
order. But
38:48
when a Lal Kitab chart is made, the ascendant will be the Aries sign. Here, signs have no
importance, and nakshatras have no importance.
38:54
The first house will have the Aries sign, and in that
39:02
same sequence, the signs will be placed one after another in the 12 houses. This will be
our
39:08
Kaal Purush Kundli (natural zodiac chart).
39:13
Now, how will this chart be converted into a Lal Kitab chart? In the same way. Jupiter is
in the first
39:22
house, so Jupiter will be written in the first house.
39:25
Mars is in the first house, so Mars will be written in the first house.
39:29
The Moon is in the third house,
39:35
so it will be written in the third house.
39:37
Rahu is in the fourth house, so it will be written in the fourth house.
39:44
Saturn is in the tenth house, so it will be written in the tenth house.
39:48
The Sun is in the twelfth house,
39:52
so it will be written in the twelfth house.
39:57
Venus is in the sixth house, so it will be written in the sixth house.
40:02
Mercury is in the fifth house, so it will be written in the fifth house.
40:08
And Saturn is
40:14
in the twelfth house, so it will be written in the twelfth house.
40:19
Here, the native's chart was of Capricorn ascendant, but according to Lal Kitab, the
horoscope
40:25
will begin with Aries ascendant only.
40:31
Whichever house the planets are in,
40:37
we have to write the planets in those same houses. Only the sign will remain Aries.
40:43
Here, the sign has no importance.
40:47
If we talk about the original chart, it will be called a Capricorn ascendant.
40:50
But here, it will only be called an Aries ascendant.
40:55
We are only concerned with Jupiter and Mars. That Jupiter and Mars are in house
41:02
number one. Now we have to see what results they will give. Here, the signs have no
meaning, no importance.
41:08
So, the native's chart was Capricorn ascendant, and the Lal Kitab chart we made
41:14
was formed like this.
41:21
Hopefully, there is no issue here. If there is,
41:28
tell me. If you have any questions, please ask.
41:34
Just one small doubt I have...
41:42
As you said, if Rahu is in the ascendant...
41:54
So in such a condition, any planet...
42:08
Rahu and Ketu have taken a vow not to cause harm.
42:15
As long as they are not provoked. And sometimes in the fourth house,
42:18
Rahu and Ketu are switched off.
42:24
Meaning, they are sitting there, having taken a vow not to cause harm.
42:31
So they will never cause problems in any way, as long as they are not provoked.
Meaning, as long as an act against Rahu is not committed,
42:37
or as long as an act against Ketu is not committed by the native, then our planet is fine.
42:43
Now, what is Rahu? It is stairs. Since you've brought it up, this is for everyone.
42:49
Listen carefully. Rahu is stairs. Rahu is the toilet. We saw that in our annual chart
(varshphal),
42:56
Rahu came into the fourth house, and we had our house's stairs demolished and
43:05
their direction changed, or we tampered with the stairs, had the stairs
43:10
rebuilt from another direction, or shifted the house's toilet.
43:17
Now Rahu is afflicted. Rahu, which was sitting in the fourth house having vowed not to
cause
43:23
harm, will now create turmoil in your fourth house.
43:30
The same goes for Ketu.
43:37
If you demolish the stairs and then rebuild them, then...
43:40
...then it's been activated. According to that, it will start giving its results.
43:45
It was in your annual chart, Rahu came into the fourth house in your annual chart, and
you
43:50
demolished the stairs, or let's say, demolished the stairs and changed the direction.
43:56
I mean, if you built stairs and built them in the wrong direction,
44:01
then you have provoked Rahu.
44:05
So sir, if we have to get it done...
44:08
...if we have to get it done in that year, then first, a remedy for Rahu will be performed.
Rahu will be brought under control,
44:15
and after that, we can do that work.
44:19
Okay, sir.
44:30
Alright. Let's look at the exalted and debilitated planets.
44:59
The Sun is exalted in house number one.
45:05
Saturn is exalted in house number seven.
45:11
Jupiter is exalted in house number four. And Mars
45:17
is exalted in house number 10.
45:20
The Moon
45:26
is exalted in house number two.
45:29
Here, signs have no importance, there's no meaning to signs. I don't care about the
signs. I've written the signs here; it would have been better if I had erased them.
45:43
Mercury is exalted in house number six.
45:49
And similarly, Venus is exalted in house number 12.
46:01
Two planets are left:
46:03
Rahu and Ketu.
46:08
Here are our two planets, Rahu and Ketu.
46:14
For Rahu and Ketu, understand this: Rahu is always exalted in the signs of Mercury.
46:21
And Mercury's signs fall in our house number three and house number six,
46:27
according to our Lal Kitab chart.
46:30
So Rahu,
46:33
whenever it is in house number three, will be considered exalted.
46:38
Similarly, if Rahu is in house number six, it will be
46:43
considered exalted.
46:45
And now for Ketu.
46:48
Ketu is considered exalted in the houses of Jupiter or the signs of Jupiter. So if
47:02
Ketu is in house number nine, it will be considered exalted.
47:08
And similarly, if Ketu is in house number 12, it will be considered exalted. That is why
you may have
47:14
heard that whenever Ketu is in the twelfth house, it grants liberation (moksha).
47:21
It grants liberation. You all must have heard this. Who has heard this?
47:28
Yes, I've definitely heard this. Let me give an example of why this is so. Because
47:37
I just told you that Jupiter is the master of both worlds. One world is this one
47:42
in which we live, and the second world is the divine world.
47:48
Here we will attain liberation. And Ketu is a spiritual planet. Where is it sitting?
47:56
In house number 12, in Jupiter's house. And Jupiter is the master of both worlds, and
Ketu
48:02
is a spiritual planet. So Ketu, by sitting in the twelfth house,
48:08
is said to grant liberation.
48:16
It is said so, don't take it literally.
48:19
But it is true that if it is in the twelfth house, it will give excellent, amazing results.
Likewise, if it is in the ninth house, it will give very good results. If Rahu is in the third
house, it will give excellent results.
48:32
And Rahu is courage.
48:35
So these are considered its exalted houses.
48:44
Now let's talk about debilitated planets. Every single
48:50
planet becomes debilitated in the seventh house from itself, or at 180 degrees.
48:58
In the seventh house from itself, or at 180 degrees, it becomes debilitated.
49:04
Speaking of the Sun,
49:10
it will be debilitated in house number seven. Speaking of Saturn, it will be debilitated in
house number one.
49:21
Speaking of the Moon, in house number eight,
49:26
it will be considered debilitated.
49:29
Speaking of Mars, in house number four,
49:33
it will be considered debilitated.
49:36
Jupiter will be considered debilitated in house number 10.
49:42
Mercury will be considered debilitated in house number 12.
49:51
Rahu is also considered debilitated in house number 12.
49:59
And Venus...
50:10
Venus will be considered debilitated in house number six.
50:18
Please mute, whoever it is.
50:33
Ketu is debilitated in house number three. Please mute.
50:51
Ketu will be considered debilitated in house number three.
50:57
And similarly, it will be considered debilitated in house number six as well.
51:08
I have requested everyone to please mute themselves.
51:28
These are our exalted planets, and these are our
51:34
debilitated planets.
51:37
Every planet, wherever it is exalted, becomes debilitated in the seventh house from
there, or at 180 degrees from itself.
51:46
As soon as any planet is debilitated, it will lose its power.
51:53
Any planet, if it is debilitated, will lose its power. This is what is called a debilitated
planet.
51:59
So, whenever you look at someone's horoscope,
52:04
it will be very necessary to check for exalted and debilitated planets.
52:17
Rahu in the fifth house...
52:22
This is the placement.
52:31
If we look at this horoscope, Saturn in house
52:36
number one is considered debilitated. So Saturn will not give good results in house
number one. But if the good form of Saturn is used...
52:44
We are not talking about remedies here, only about precautions. What does Saturn in
house number one
52:52
say? The good things it says, if we just adopt those, then Saturn in house number one
53:00
will not give its bad results.
53:03
Similarly, the Sun is considered debilitated in house number seven. If we take
precautions for the Sun, then
53:16
the Sun will not trouble us. The same goes for Mars in the fourth and Jupiter in the
tenth.
53:21
I mentioned one thing about Venus. When it is
53:29
in house number 12, it gives very bad results. Generally, it is said to be very good,
53:35
but in my view, it is the worst in a horoscope.
53:39
What does this mean? It means
53:42
that Mercury has come into Jupiter's house,
53:47
and has become debilitated.
53:50
It has come into its debilitation sign.
53:56
And secondly, it is sitting in Jupiter's house. I just gave you the example of the bottle,
that inside the bottle
54:02
is air, and Jupiter is air. If a lid is put on it, the work of putting that lid on
54:08
is done by Mercury. Now, as soon as Mercury comes into house number 12, it
54:14
will cause problems for Jupiter.
54:21
So here too, precautions for Mercury will be taken,
54:30
and Jupiter will be rectified,
54:39
or the support of Jupiter will be taken.
54:46
How we will do that, we will see later. Similarly, these are exalted planets and these are
debilitated planets.
54:52
Please note down their placements.
54:56
Everything will be available in the recording.
54:59
Sir, you said a debilitated planet, so what should be done so that it becomes okay or
55:07
behaves well?
55:09
For the Sun, for example, government-related things... don't do things against the
government, like tax
55:20
evasion.
55:23
If the Moon is debilitated, then don't waste water.
55:28
Don't waste water, and related to the Moon, don't disrespect the mother. The Moon
55:34
is silver, and the Moon is also rice. So, things related to it,
55:41
don't disrespect them or harm them in any way.
55:49
If we take these precautions, then even a debilitated planet will give very good results.
56:04
Okay sir, thank you. It will give good results.
56:12
It will definitely give its good results, but it will surely cause some deficiency.
56:16
But with its precautions, it will come under very good control, and you won't need to
perform remedies.
56:26
Otherwise, we do have remedies.
56:35
Sir, I have a question. This position of the planets you are talking about, is it according
to the
56:45
D1 chart or the ascendant chart?
56:50
Or the Bhav Chalit chart?
57:05
The Rasi chart, sir. Yes, please explain, sorry.
57:11
Here, signs have no importance, nakshatras have no importance, and the Bhav Chalit
also has no importance.
57:17
Here, only the D1 chart will be focused on. It slipped my mind to
57:24
tell you.
57:34
In your D1 chart, wherever your planet is sitting, even if it moves anywhere in the Bhav
Chalit,
57:39
it doesn't matter. You will focus only on your Rasi chart (D1), and your Lal Kitab chart
will be made according to that.
57:53
So, the Drishti (aspect) is also according to the D1 chart, meaning the D1 chart is the life
chart, so the D1 chart is what runs.
58:03
Absolutely. The birth chart is the one.
58:15
Alright. Now let's talk about aspects (drishti). This is the most
58:20
important part, so please understand it carefully. But,
58:27
before understanding the aspects,
58:30
let's look a little at the planets... sorry, the houses.
58:44
Houses one through six, that is, house number one, house number two, house number
three,
58:53
house number four, house number five, and house number six.
58:58
These are called the "first houses." These are our first houses. Note this down,
59:08
remember it, memorize it. That houses one through six are our "first houses."
59:17
These are our first houses. The "later houses" will start from seven. House
59:23
number seven is a later house, house number eight is a later house, nine is a later
house, ten, eleven, and twelve are later houses.
59:36
So, house number one to house number six, these are our first houses. And house
59:44
number seven to house number twelve, those are the later houses.
59:53
These are the later houses.
59:56
The later houses are house numbers 7, 8, 9...

1:00:01
Houses 10, 11, and 12 are the "later houses."
1:00:07
They do not cast aspects. In Lal Kitab, it is not the planets that give aspects; it is the
houses that give aspects1.
1:00:20
However, a house will only cast an aspect if there is a planet within it; an empty house
does not cast an aspect1.
1:00:35
House numbers 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 are our "later houses," and these later houses do
not cast aspects, whether they contain a planet or not1.
1:00:56
Only the planets in houses one through six—which are our "first houses"—cast aspects1.

Aspects (Drishti)
1:01:26
100% Aspects
● House number one, which is our first house, aspects house number seven13.
● House number four aspects house number ten1.
● An aspect is only cast when there is a planet in the first house. An empty house
is considered "sleeping," which we will discuss later1.
● The aspect from house one to seven and from house four to ten is a 100%
aspect1.
1:02:46
House number eight aspects house number two. This is the only "later house" that casts
an aspect. It does so with a 100% backward or reverse aspect (ulti drishti)1.
1:03:37
A 100% aspect means the planets in the two houses can be considered as one, or in
conjunction1. For instance, a planet in house one gives its full 100% power to the planet
in house seven13. Similarly, a planet in house four gives its full power to the planet in
house ten1.
1:05:04
The same applies to the aspect from house eight to house two. However, a backward
aspect is always considered negative or harmful, regardless of whether the planet in the
second house is a friend or an enemy to the planet in the eighth house1.
1:05:47
This rule does not apply to Rahu and Ketu in a birth chart, as they are always 180
degrees apart. However, in an annual chart (varshphal), planets are free to move. Rahu
and Ketu can be in any house together, and if one of them lands in the eighth house, its
backward aspect will be harmful1.
1:07:43
50% Aspects
● House number three aspects house number eleven with a 50% aspect1.
● House number three also aspects house number nine with a 50% aspect1.
● House number five aspects house number nine with a 50% aspect1.
● A 50% aspect means the planet casts half of its influence, whether good or bad,
on the other house1.
1:09:46
25% Aspects
● House number two aspects house number six with a 25% aspect1.
● House number six aspects house number twelve with a 25% aspect1.
● This creates a chain effect. For example, if there are planets in houses 8, 2, 6, and
12, the negative backward aspect from house eight will spoil the planet in house
two. The now-spoiled planet in house two will pass that negative influence to the
planet in house six, which will, in turn, pass the negativity to the planet in house
twelve. The negative influence from house eight can indirectly travel to house
twelve1.
1:14:22
When a planet aspects from its house of exaltation, it gives its exalted results to the
planet in the aspected house. For example, the Sun is exalted in house one, so it will
give exalted results to any planet in house seven. Whether the final effect is good or bad
is a separate matter, but the nature of the result stems from the Sun's exaltation1.
1:18:06
Special Backward Aspects
Some special backward aspects are given only to Saturn and Mercury. Like all backward
aspects, these are always considered harmful1.
● If Saturn is in house six, it casts a backward aspect on house two, harming any
planet there1.
● If Mercury is in house nine, it casts a backward aspect on house three1.
● If Mercury is in house twelve, it casts a backward aspect on house six1.
1:22:06
The negative effects of these aspects impact living things (family members) first, then
non-living things (possessions), and finally, one's profession or business (karobar)1.

Sleeping and Awakened Houses

1:27:17
In Lal Kitab, a house can be "sleeping" (soya hua) or "awakened" (jaga hua)12.
1:27:37
The Concept of a Sleeping House
● A house is considered "sleeping" if there is no planet in the house it aspects. For
example, if there is a planet in house four but house ten is empty, house ten is
considered sleeping12.
● In this case, the planet in house four is also considered sleeping because there is
no planet receiving its aspect. Its effects, good or bad, are confined to house four
and do not reach house ten1.
● This applies to all aspects. If the houses being aspected are empty, the house
with the planet is sleeping. For example, if house three has a planet but houses
nine and eleven are empty, then house three and the planet within it are
sleeping1.
● Similarly, if there are planets in the "first houses" (1-6) but none in the "later
houses" (7-12, except for the one occupied by Rahu or Ketu), then all the planets
in the first houses are considered sleeping1.
● Conversely, if there are planets in the later houses but none in the first houses
that aspect them, the planets in the later houses are also considered sleeping1.
1:31:33
The Concept of an Awakened Planet
● A planet is considered "awakened" even if the house it aspects is empty, provided
it is in its own permanent house (pakka ghar) or its own sign's house12.
● For example, the Moon is in its own house in house number four. So, even if
house ten is empty, the Moon is considered awakened. However, its effects are
still confined to house four and do not reach the sleeping tenth house1.
● Similarly, the Sun is always awakened in house one because it is its permanent
house. But if house seven is empty, the Sun's effects are confined to house one1.
● If a planet is not in its own or permanent house (e.g., Saturn in house four) and
the house it aspects (house ten) is empty, then both house ten and Saturn are
considered sleeping1.
1:35:21
If you are facing problems related to a specific area of life, such as career (house ten), it
might be because that house is sleeping. In that case, the house needs to be
"awakened"1.

Awakening Sleeping Houses

1:42:22
There is a fixed chart of "awakener" planets for each house. This chart never changes1.
To awaken a sleeping house, one must perform remedies related to its specific
awakener planet1.
The remedy is not for the awakener planet itself, but for the house where the awakener
planet is located in the current annual chart (varshphal)1.
1:43:23
The Awakeners for Each House:
● House 1: Mars
● House 2: Moon
● House 3: Mercury
● House 4: Moon
● House 5: Sun
● House 6: Rahu
● House 7: Venus
● House 8: Moon
● House 9: Jupiter
● House 10: Saturn
● House 11: Jupiter
● House 12: Ketu
1:44:45
For example, house ten represents one's profession. If you are having career problems
and find that house ten is sleeping in your chart, you must awaken it. The awakener for
house ten is Saturn. You would look at your annual chart to see which house Saturn is in
for that year. Performing the remedies for that specific house will awaken your tenth
house1.
1:45:33
Another example: house eleven represents income. If your income is blocked and you
find house eleven is sleeping, you need to awaken it. The awakener is Jupiter. You would
find Jupiter's position in your annual chart and perform the remedies for the house it
occupies. This will awaken the eleventh house and help resolve income issues1.
