Enterprise is a commercial real estate developer. You recently joined Melon and your position
reports directly to Pat Smith, the CEO. When you meet Pat for the first time, she asks you to work
on a project that has to be completed in about a week.
Pat tells you that Melon is thinking about leasing a parcel of land to build a shopping center.
Melon would own and operate the shopping center and generate revenue by renting space to
retailers. Pat would like you to do some work on the project. Specifically, she would like you to
complete the following tasks:

Bob thought that the parcel of land would be large enough to build a shopping center with as much
as 60,000 square meters of retail space. He also thought that Melon should make a one time upfront
payment to lease the parcel of land for the expected 20 year life of the project.
Bob thought the amount retailers in the shopping center would be willing to pay per square
meter of floor space would be a decreasing function of the total size of the shopping center. Bob
did some initial work estimating the likely relationship between what tenants would be willing to
pay for retail space and the size of the shopping center. Specifically, he thought there was a 50%
chance the true relationship would be: r = 60 0.001s and a 50% chance that the true relationship
would be r = 50 0.001s where r is the rental rate per square meter of floor space and s is the total
size of the shopping center in square meters. Furthermore, Bob was going to assume that once the
shopping center had been built, the realized relationship between r and s would remain unchanged
for the next 20 years.
Bob was planning to ignore discount rates and the time value of money in his initial evaluation of the
project. He was going to treat all of the project s costs and benefits equally no matter when they
occurred in the life of the project; that is, he was going to treat a $1 cost incurred (or

Symbolism In The Whale Rider
Identify an important character in the film. Explain why the character is important and discuss what
techniques the director uses to portray the character and the effect on the audience?
By Tishya Kapoor
In the film, The Whale Rider, by Nicki Caro, is about a young girl named Paikea Apirana (Pai)
who is destined to become a leader and lead the community. However Koro, Pai s grandfather
expects a male leader to lead the community as he expects Maori tradition and culture to carry on.
Koro refuses Pai from inheriting that leadership as she is a female. An important character in this
film is Koro as he expects he is the current leader of the Maori community. But now that he is
getting old, he needs to find individuals who have those leadership attributes in order to be a
successful leader. However, he will not be able to pass on the legacy and heritage as he ... Show more

For example, when Koro expects one of the boys to retrieve his whale tooth underwater. However
the boys have failed to retrieve it and Koro is disappointed as the whale tooth was a symbol of his
leadership and power. There is a close up of the whale tooth slowly drifting away in the murky
waters. Also when Koro has discovered the beached whales, he drops his stick. This is significant as
this is also a symbol of his leadership and power. It then shows a close up of the stick and the stick
being washed away.
In conclusion, the film The Whale Rider has left a strong impression on me as I have understood the
character more in depth and how the character is important in this film through a variety of effective
film techniques. I have gained a lot of understanding through the director s messages and ways of
communicating through a variety of film shots, symbolism and sound effects. The director has used
effective film techniques in order for the audience to engage with the film and to get a better and in
depth understanding of each
Reasons To Take Me Out Of Private Schools
Hidden Secrets As a child I had gone to a private school and I had not known what it was like to
go to public schools. When my parents had taken me out of the school I had thought that it was the
worst thing that had happened to me and that they did not care about me anymore. When I grew
older I came to realize the reasons that my parents had taken me out of the private school. Ninety
percent of our nation s schoolchildren depend on the public schools for an education. Only 10
percent of America s students are enrolled in private schools. Scarce public resources should be
designated for public purposes, not private ones (Religion and Education). Private schools are not
very open to diversity, some of them do not allow any other religion... Show more content on

Segregation academies are private schools in the United States established in the mid 20th
century. They were enabled for white parents to avoid having their children in desegregated
public schools (Wikipedia). No not like how the whites were separated from the blacks, it was
just that the school was an all Armenian school. They would not allow children of other races to
study there. Almost all of the children who went there went to the same preschool and
kindergarten together, and they are all almost going to be there until they graduate from the 8th
grade. It is good for some people because it builds a bond between friends, knowing them for more
than eight years, but the whole grade has 30 students. Most of the children who graduate go to
the sister school where they add on about 20 more students that they all know from private
Armenian clubs. it is a good thing to have friends that you have known for long times and your
families can trust, but they rarely get the chance to meet new people. If i had kept going to that
school at the year of 2019 my graduating class would be only 39 students. Most of the people that
i had gone to school with are people i still keep in contact with, whether it is by playing club
basketball with them or knowing them from before or even a all Armenian summer camp that i go
to now. I also keep in contact with them by some
Heat Stroke Research Paper
A Review Of Heat Stroke As It Relates To Exercise, Age, And Pre existing Medical Conditions

Disease Introduction:

Heat Stroke is a heat related illness, physiologically defined as hyperthermia meaning a highly
elevated body temperature due to external factors like weather and humidity. The elevated body
temperature of heat stroke differs from the conmen fever, where a fever is a physiological
response in the normal temperature of the body onset by infections microbiological
agents.(Cheuvront, Montain, Sawka, 2007) The term stroke used to define the heat illness is very
misleading because the illness involves no blockage or hemorrhaging of blood flow to the brain. It
is not common but in some cases heat stroke can cause damage to the brain if left untreated, but the
illness still dose not cutoff or divert blood flow ... Show more content on [Link] ...
However before the elevated body temperature is noticed fainting may be the first sign of heat
stroke especially if the day is above 80 s and humidity is high. The symptoms of heat stroke may
develop over the course of several days in people that are at high risk for heat stress such as the
elderly, imunocompromised, and people with pre existing conditions. Symptoms develop more
rapidly when exercise or physical activity is associated. This type of heat stroke, is know as
exertional heat stroke, this type of heat stroke more commonly affects the young and endurance
athletes. Heat Stroke presents with hyperthermia the body temperature greater the 105 degrees
Fahrenheit in combinations with disorientations and the lack of sweating even though external
temperatures are high.(Harker Gibson, 1995) Young children suffering from heat stroke tend to have
symptoms including seizures not normally seen in adults or elderly. But in untreated cases
eventually patients will progress to organ failure, unconsciousness and death.(Royburt, Epstein,

The Seventh Symphony s Four Movements Of The Seventh Symphony
The Seventh Symphony has four movements:
I. Poco sostenuto Vivace ( A major)
II. Allegretto (A minor)
III. Presto Assai meno presto (trio) (F major)
IV. Allegro con brio (A major)
Some general characteristics of this symphony are: The turbulent joy and dynamism, rhythmic
audacity full of vigor and novelty, evolved and complex harmony, the emancipation of orchestral
timbres (especially the prominent role of wind instruments).

The first Movement: Poco sostenuto Vivace (A major): It s in sonata form. A slow introduction of
large dimensions, precedes the first time, which fixes the luminous and rustic nature of the work.
There are contrasts of timbres and abrupt harmonic modulations. This movement have confusing
wave of ascending scales, with the usual preparatory character, from which emerges only a beautiful
melody of the oboe, a kind of slow march in C major , which could be described as idyllic if the
virtue of rhythm did not exist. . The dominant tone is hammered repeatedly, first with equal rhythmic
values, then almost standing out one note to the other, the jumping division of the rhythm is in
compound double.
Theme A of the sonata is rhythmically clear and is initially exposed by the flute, whereas theme B is
somewhat diffuse in its melodic profile. It is a structurally very complex movement.
2º. Movement: Allegretto. (A minor): This movement has extended lied form and variations. The
texture of this movement is homophonic and it have a simple and compound
Abstract. The Packaging Process At Ninkasi Brewery Adds
Abstract
The packaging process at Ninkasi Brewery adds value to their end result that is delivering their
best quality craft brews. Processes are key elements to a business s ability to create and distribute
products that will meet the needs of their target market; therefore the need for industries to analyze
specific processes within their organizations is significant. This paper is an outline of understanding
Ninkasi s packaging and bottling process and how the brewery can apply quantitative and qualitative
tools to potentially reduce defects in this specific process.
Ninkasi Brewing Company: The Packaging Process
Organization Description
The organization I have chosen to analyze is Ninkasi Brewing Company. Back in 2005, neither ...

Secondly, Ninkasi is extremely community oriented and has a program known as Beer is Love, which
supports non profit doing work in five core categories: women, equality, recreation, the environment,
and arts and music. Lastly, I appreciate the company s goal to perpetuate better living and their
continued efforts to adopt more sustainable practices throughout the brewery. Overall, the company
has several valuable traits and I look forward to digging deeper and gaining new knowledge about
the company s operations.
Operation Description The operation in which I plan to explore is Ninkasi s packaging process. I
specifically plan to analyze the brewery s bottling line and the brewery s recent encounters for
defects in their packaging process such as; low fills, crooked labels, chipped, or broken bottles, and
equipment shut downs. First I will discuss how these problems can be identified. Second, I will
apply quantitative tools to the problems. Third, I will provide insights into how Ninkasi may use
these tools to potentially reduce defects in their packaging line.
The Bottling Line
Ninkasi s bottling line is capable of producing both 22 oz. and 12 oz. bottles and can package 22
oz. bottles at a rate of 150 bottles per minute, and 12 oz. bottles at a rate of 250 bottles per minute.
First, the machine takes empty bottles and runs them through a rinser cleaning them inside and out
to ensure they are sent to the filler sanitized. Once the bottles are

to kill, and he killed (Heller 106)
The minutes dawdled and the hours dragged like centuries...it tortured him, because he knew he was

Though soldiers like, Lieutenant Scheisskopf obsess over the awards, in the they mean nothing,
much like war, in which there are many causalities on both sides.
The hospital represents safety and refuge, as most of the soldiers prefer it to fighting in the war. In
fact, many soldiers (including Yossarian), make up injuries and diseases on the spot to be admitted
to avoid more combat missions.
The increasing number of mission represents unfairness and unjust society of the time. This along
with the idea that to leave the military one must be considered insane and asking to leave in itself
nullifies insanity, effectively barring anyone from leaving. This illogic nature matches the way
Heller perceives war in and of itself.
The bandaged man in the hospital epitomizes the cruel and undignified treatment of soldiers in the
military. First of all the character is unrecognizable due to his condition and is not identified with a
name, showing the military s lack empathy towards their soldiers, seeming them as units rather than
individuals. Secondly, nurses and other medical officials treat him poorly, dumping his own waste
back into his body.

The Eight Heads created in 1922, by Escher would be an example of this. There are, of course
eight heads, four facing to the north and four facing to the south. Another used in his work was
reflection. Reflection meaning a translation that creates a mirrored image, its like looking into
the mirror, put your hand on your right should its going to appear in the mirror as if it was on
your left. The Wild West created in 1920 is an example, people are facing another as if they were
being reflected. Another being rotation, a figure that is turned about a fixed point. It can be in the
process or in the act of turning, or even circling around a fixed point. Lizard created in 1942, Escher

James Bond Sex And Violence Analysis
Within James Bond s universe, sex and violence are often the same thing.
James gun is used not as an extension of his penis, but as his penis. When in M tells him that he is
going to need a new gun because his old one no longer suffices, Fleming describes Bond s
relationship with his old gun using masturbatory terms, describing how Bond had dismantled the
gun and oiled it and packed the bullets carefully into the spring loaded magazine and tried the
action once or twice, pumping the cartridges out onto the bedspread in some hotel bedroom in Dr.
No, (025,), and in a celebration of pre existent vocabulary Bond can often be seen resting his hand
on the butt of his gun. (CR, 008)
Similarly, acts of violence are described in ways that invite the imagining of sexual acts. In the
testicular torture scene from Casino Royale, where cool Le Chiffre flogs Bond with a carpet beater,
only Fleming chooses to describe Bond s response to the torture rather than the torture itself, and
when reading the responses selectively one might think Bond s body is responding to physical
pleasure rather than pain. Fleming writes, Bond s whole body arched in an involuntary spasm. His
face contracted in a soundless scream and his lips drew right away from his teeth. At the ... Show

In dealing with men, villains, Bond prefers to use his gun to persuade them ( times when its threat
alone had been enough to save his life) or take them out when persuasion is not an option. When it
comes to women, however, Bond s penis is usually sufficient persuasion. Pussy Galore changes
sides after sleeping with Bond (both on the field of sexual preference and loyalty of service),
Vesper Lynd does too, though rather more dramatically, and for Solitaire her attraction to Bond is
the reason she helps him, and trusts him. He is more of a man than, ironically, Mr Big
My Solitary Purpose Of Applying For Graduate Program
Statement of Purpose
My solitary purpose of applying for graduate program at your university is to pursue a carrier of
professional researcher and educationalist in the field of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering.
After completing my PhD and post doctorate programs, I want to see myself as a fully matured
professional researcher in an organization, or a faculty member in a renowned university. And
graduate program is the first step in attaining of my long cherished dream. In addition to that, my
undergraduate study at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), in the
department of Chemical Engineering has exposed me to the real nature of chemical and biochemical
engineering. Environment of my undergraduate university is very strong and here the research and
theoretical knowledge go forward parallel. As a result, I have discovered that I have a strong
interest in research work and a very good aptitude for problem solving and problem detecting. In
sum, because of these reasons I have decided to pursue my higher studies in Chemical and
Biomolecular Engineering.
There always will be a winning side and a losing side, despite that we have to move forward to see
the future; No one has been successful without overcoming hindrance on the pathway of triumph.
The above philosophy has played a significant role in shaping of my objectives and framing of my
future plans. My childhood was completely different compared to the other kids. My father used to

President Washington s Saturday Days
President Washington s Saturday schedule was jam packed per the norm, he never really got a
day off, like everything else if he wanted free time it had to be penciled in. His days usually ran
from six in the morning until midnight almost every day. Those were just the scheduled hours of
work it didn t account for the many calls he received at all hours of the early morning. He learned
to survive on little sleep and lots of caffeine. That Saturday he had several meetings with
ambassadors, his normal Saturday meeting with the Joint Chiefs, followed by lunch with his wife
(she made it a must), a telephonic meeting with the Prime Minister of Israel which would take up
most of his afternoon. Later in the afternoon he had his daily meeting with his Chief of Staff, Jake
Watkins, then dinner with the wife and kids(again another mandated meal set by the wife), then that
evening he had a meeting with the entire Cabinet from eight to eleven that night. They were long
