Overview
Delta - MS8 is ideal for use
as a subbase course below
concrete slabs, as foundation
wall protection or as a seeper
course in double-skinned
constructions. It has an extremely
high compressive strength with
low point loads, which ensures
an efficient pressure distribution.
A dynamic dimpled sheet, Delta
- MS8 was the trusted choice
for the Gotthard tunnel and has
applications in most subbase
situations and is non-polluting for

in soil, and offers additional heat
insulation. The diagonal dimple Derbigum CG4mm Geodrain

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
* Speak to our Waterproofing Centre (WPC) product specialists for the associated
waterproofing products to complete your specification and establish warranty options.

Surface Preparation
• It is of paramount importance that the waterproofing under
Delta - MS8 is correctly installed, tested, and approved
by experienced contractors according to manufacturer’s guidelines.
• The substrate is to be of smooth and even condition, free of protrusions
and voids.

Application
(Vertical)
• Mark a line (i.e. snap a chalk line) 2.5 cm below expected final grade
line as a starting point.
• The “flat tab” and orange stripe of Delta - MS8 should always be at the
top of the installation and facing the installer.
• With the flat tab lined up along the chalk line, roll out Delta - MS8
continuously with the membrane draping over top of footing. Position
the roll in the direction of installation for easy roll-out of the dimpled
membrane.
• Spot fix, if necessary, using WPC Double Sided Mastic Tape at the top
of the wall.
• Install Delta - MS8 on inside and outside corners by pushing the
membrane as tightly as possible against the wall and using backfill to
Delta - MS8

anchoring adequately.
• Vertical joints require a minimum of 15 cm overlap. Interlock the
overlapping dimples.

(Horizontal)
• To create a strong load bearing base for foundations for buildings,
Delta - MS8 is used under rebar. This provides a huge space and cost
saving for the excavation of the subbase.
• Roll out Delta - MS8 in one direction, allowing the flat edge to overlap
at one side.
• Place spacers at 1m distances from each other. These are needed to
prevent the Delta - MS8 being damaged by the rebar.
• Place spacers and then rebar on top, shuttering as required and fill with
concrete.
• Where high watertables are present, Derbigum Manufacturing (Pty) Ltd
waterproofing membranes are recommended before laying the
Delta - MS8 (e.g. liftpits or basement tanking).

Safety and Storage

Product is not designed for permanent UV exposure. Always cover as soon
as possible. Avoid installing Delta - MS8 in adverse weather conditions,
and weigh the product down in high wind situations.
