Competitive advantages
ClickAndGo Perforated Bottom Cable Trays' competitive
advantages over conduit include the following:

SAFETY: Unlike conduit, ClickAndGo Perforated Bottom

Cable Trays do not provide a significant path for
transmission of corrosive, explosive or toxic gases and
liquids, avoiding plant personnel and sensitive
equipment from being exposed to these elements.

EASY CABLE INSTALLATION, INSPECTION AND

REPAIR: The ClickAndGo Perforated Bottom Cable Tray
system is designed for quick and easy new cable
installation, inspection and repair.

REDUCED INSTALLATION COSTS=SAVINGS: As

previously stated, ClickAndGo Perforated Bottom Cable
Trays are normally erected without nuts, bolts or tools,
resulting in reduced installation costs = savings. The
fittings come flat and are hand folded in the field at time of
installation, eliminating the need for costly field
fabrication.
An additional benefit of this design is reduced freight and
warehousing / storage costs.

GREATER LOADING CAPACITY: ClickAndGo

Perforated Bottom Cable Trays also provide a greater
cable loading capacity with minimal additional cost
compared to conduit, the latter requiring higher strength
supports.

SIMPLER DESIGN: Conduit systems require many more

different components.
The ClickAndGo Perforated Bottom Cable Tray system is
SIMPLE and offers the same or greater capacity utilizing
far fewer components.

U.L. Classification
ClickAndGo PERFORATED BOTTOM CABLE TRAYS are
1 classified by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. as to their
suitability as an equipment grounding conductor only. The
individual sections are designed for the use of jumper wires
in order to meet the NEC 392.7 grounding requirements.
They have been classified as to their suitability for use as
equipment grounding conductors in accordance with
Sections 392.3 (C) and 392.7 (B) NEC 2002.
All straight section are grounded and labelled as U.L.
classified .

Load span
2 An individual cable tray's load strength is proportionate to the
length of its unsupported span, commonly referred to as
'support span'. The support span should not exceed the
length of an un-spliced straight section, to ensure that no
more than one splice is placed between supports. The
maximum recommended support span is 8 feet (240 mm) for
straight sections. Fittings should be installed in accordance
with NEMA Standards VE-2.

Applications
ClickAndGo PERFORATED BOTTOM CABLE TRAYS
3 are an ideal substitute for conduit, specially in indoor
installations / applications such as:

Telecommunications. Food Processing Plants.

The installation of ClickAndGo Perforated Bottom Cable Trays is cost-efficient due to the elimination of the need for nuts, bolts, or tools, as the trays are designed to be hand-folded in the field . This reduces the need for skilled labor and costly field fabrication. Additionally, the flat-pack design minimizes freight and storage expenses . The simplified assembly process involves using hand-applied clips, which streamlines the installation and further lowers costs .

ClickAndGo Perforated Bottom Cable Trays offer several advantages over traditional conduits: they enhance safety by not providing a path for corrosive, explosive, or toxic substances ; enable easy installation, inspection, and repair of cables ; reduce installation costs by eliminating the need for nuts, bolts, or tools ; and offer greater loading capacity at minimal additional cost with a simpler design requiring fewer components . These trays are made from galvanized mill steel and are designed for easy hand assembly, contributing to reduced freight and warehousing costs .

ClickAndGo cable trays support a straightforward installation via their innovative design, which includes hand-folding flat fittings and splice plates that eliminate the need for nuts, bolts, or tools, thereby simplifying assembly . Despite this simplification, the design maintains structural integrity through careful material selection, with galvanized steel providing robust support . The inherent modularity of the system allows for quick adjustments and errors correction, which aids in preserving the system's structural reliability even with its simplified, tool-free assembly process .

The modularity of ClickAndGo fittings significantly contributes to ease of use and adaptability by allowing components such as splice plates, bends, and tees to be easily assembled without special tools . Each fitting is standardized to accommodate various configurations, ensuring adaptability to different installation needs. This design also supports efficient space management and installation speed, as components can be mixed and matched to fit non-standard layouts without compromising structural integrity .

The ClickAndGo system accommodates different cable tray widths and configurations through a standardized modular design. It offers a variety of widths, from 2 inches to 24 inches, and includes fittings like horizontal and vertical bends, tees, and crosses . Each component comes with required clips for assembly, allowing for flexibility in adjusting to various load spans and installation scenarios . This modularity supports diverse application needs within the recommended support span of 8 feet to ensure structural integrity .

ClickAndGo Perforated Bottom Cable Trays are manufactured from galvanized mill carbon steel with a thickness of 0.89 mm, complying with ASTM A653 G90 coating specifications . They are U.L. Classified as suitable for use as equipment grounding conductors in accordance with NEC Sections 392.3 (C) and 392.7 (B), ensuring they meet specific safety standards for grounding . The trays are designed not to serve as personnel walkways, which further reinforces their adherence to safety protocols .

The NEC and U.L. classifications for ClickAndGo Perforated Bottom Cable Trays underscore their compliance with critical safety and operational standards . The NEC 392.3 (C) and 392.7 (B) guidelines ensure the trays are suitable as equipment grounding conductors, crucial for preventing electrical hazards . The U.L. classification further validates their quality and safety, offering assurance to consumers and compliance officers that the trays meet stringent industrial requirements, which enhances their acceptance in varied applications .

ClickAndGo Perforated Bottom Cable Trays are predominantly used in industries such as telecommunications, fiber optics, instrumentation, manufacturing plants, data centers, food processing plants, and in public buildings like schools and hospitals . They are preferred in these domains due to their ability to easily support various types of wiring, coupled with their simplicity in installation, which reduces costs and enhances efficiency . Their non-conductive nature adds a layer of safety, making them ideal for sensitive and critical environments .

It is important that ClickAndGo cable trays do not serve as walkways to prevent structural failures or safety hazards associated with unintended loads that can exceed the trays' design specifications . This restriction necessitates careful planning during installation to ensure that trays are installed only as cable supports and not in locations where personnel might inadvertently use them as walkways. Such planning helps maintain the integrity of the system and prevents potential accidents .

The perforated design of ClickAndGo cable trays minimizes the risk of accumulating corrosive, explosive, or toxic gases, as the open structure allows for better ventilation and dissipation of such substances . This feature is crucial in industrial environments where such gases are present, as it enhances operational safety by reducing the potential for hazardous exposure to both personnel and sensitive equipment . Consequently, their design contributes to a safer and more reliable installation in varied industrial settings .
