Paragraph:
The Amazon Rainforest is the largest tropical rainforest in the world, covering over 5.5 million square
kilometers. It is home to an estimated 400 billion trees and millions of species of animals, plants, and insects.
The rainforest is often called the "lungs of the Earth" because it produces around 20% of the world's oxygen.
However, deforestation is a major problem in the Amazon. Trees are cut down for agriculture, logging, and
urban expansion, leading to the destruction of habitats and loss of biodiversity. Scientists and environmentalists
are working to protect this vital ecosystem by promoting sustainable practices and conservation efforts. If
deforestation continues at its current rate, the Amazon could lose more than half of its trees within a few
decades, which would have severe consequences for the planet’s climate and wildlife.
