Warren Truss Bridge Essay
I decided to make a warren truss bridge for this project (Wikipedia, 2015). This type of bridge uses
equilateral triangles to help bare tension or compression forces that the bridge may undergo
(Mudaliar, 2015). I picked this design because it is a popular bridge design and it will have a smaller
mass then some other bridgedesigns. This design has the potential to be very efficient in the amount
of weight it can hold because of it being lighter than other designs. The one problem you have to
solve is how to spread out the forcebeing applied to the one location. This is because in a warren
truss bridge you want to try to spread out the forces across the entire bridge rather than a localized
point to minimize the forces on each of the segments (Boon, 2011). When the massis in a localized
point all of the forces are larger than they are when the mass is spread out equally (Cridlebaugh,
2008). Using this information I designed the top of my bridge to try... Show more content on

The first change was that the piece at the base of the bridge located on either side was moved
from the inside to the outside on the bottom of the bridge. I changed this because it was easier to
glue the two sides of the bridge together if it was on the bottom. This change didn t drastically
change the bridge but it did make the bridge closer to the 2cm block it had to be under at the
starting point. The second change that I added the braces to the wood pieces that made up the
triangles. This helped my bridge because it made it easier to keep the pieces of the bridges
together. It also made the construction process cleaner and easier so I would be able to execute
the rest of the design with more success. The third and final change I made to my design was that I
removed the piece of wood that was connected to the top of the bridge and the braces. I made this
change because I thought that the help it would provide to the bridge would not be worth the added
Alcoholism Essay
12 April 2011
The Inside Story on Alcoholism Going back to the early 1920 s, alcoholism was an issue for many
men, evident by the push for the Prohibition by many women at that point in time. Women wanted
the 18th amendment so that their husbands would stop throwing their money away at bars, when
many families lived from check to check, this was when the phrase when you have a relationship
with someone who is addicted, you have a relationship with an addiction, not a person was coined by
individuals in relationships with alcoholics. Saying that alcohol serves no purpose wouldn t be telling
the entire truth, in fact, alcohol does have its uses, including but not limited to cleaning wounds, and
disinfecting door handles that are touched ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Television shows, such as ER , which featured a female doctor that was an alcoholic, would be
more likely to have teen viewers that had tried alcohol compared to shows such as TV shows that
did not have a major character drinking on a regular basis. (Parul and Slater). Also in a study
conducted by the Naval Health Research Center and the Center for the Study of Family Violence
and Sexual Assault concluded that out of 5,697 Navy recruits, those that were abused were more
likely to use alcohol to self medicate. (Trent et al.).
Currently, there is an act in Congress; known as the CARE Act, Comprehensive Alcohol Regulatory
Effectiveness, which is aimed at supporting state based alcohol regulation (Wright) which would
give individual states the right to limit direct shipment to consumers, which would limit the
availability of alcohol in certain situation. (Wrights) This would be monumental to limit the amount
of alcohol that can go to teenagers, similar to how anyone under the age of 18 can t buy anything
with Pseudoephedrine, such as Bayer, Benadryl, or Zyertec and even then there is a datebase, known
as the National Percursor Log Exchange, which monitors
Essay On Content Mining
Introduction:
Content mining is tied in with recovering important data from information or content accessible in
accumulations of reports through the recognizable proof and investigation of fascinating examples.
This procedure is particularly beneficial when a client needs to locate a specific kind of incredible
data on the web. Content mining is focusing on the record accumulation. The greater part of content
mining calculation and methods are gone for finding designs crosswise over extensive record
accumulations. The quantity of records can extend from the large number to millions. This paper
goes for talking about some essential content mining strategies, calculation, and apparatuses.

2 Naïve Bayes Classifier Algorithm
Characterization in information mining is an assignment of anticipating an estimation of all out
factors. It should be possible by building models in view of a few factors or highlights for the
expectation of a class of a protest on the premise of its traits [4]. A standout amongst the most well
known learning strategy gathered by likenesses is Naïve Bayes Classifier. It is an administered
machine learning calculations that work on the Bayes Theorem of Probability to manufacture
machine learning models. Guileless Bayes Classifier is extremely useful for breaking down printed
information, for example, Natural Language Processing. It chips away at restrictive likelihood. What
s more, it is the likelihood that something will happen, given that something else has just happened.
By using this, the client will have the capacity to compute the likelihood of a something utilizing its
information [5].

Brian Pellot s Oppression In Brave New World
Contrarily, forcing society to follow a religion leads individuals to oppression. Religion reflects
one s ideals and beliefs. Society cannot be peer pressured into religion; it holds a more spiritual
value. When forced into a religion, some may begrudgingly accept the religious values; others may
fight to defend their beliefs opposed to society s. Powerful passion towards religionleads to protests,
wars, and other acts of violence. With similar passion, governments strive to enforce religion.
Officials retaliate by deeming rebellious citizens as threats, ostracizing them from communities
through imprisonment. Global strategist and religious newswriter, Brian Pellot, addresses his
concern with religious freedom, Countries of Particular Concern ... Show more content on

Individuals are not always given the opportunity to choose their religion. Communities strive for
freedom of religion, their right to support their own faith and build relationships with a religious
figure they trust. Other nations grant the right to practice religion; however, religion is not
supported. Through education standards and political debates, the advertisement of religion spreads
throughout the nation. Individuals not only desire to practice their own religion, but the right to
proclaim and share religion with others. Religion transforms to a support, escape, and motivation for
society to persevere through trying times. Historians, such as Christopher Columbus, found
inspiration in religion to work and pursue in their lives. Loewen accents his concern for censoring
education in his novel Lies My Teacher Told Me. Columbus aspires, Most important, his purpose
from the beginning was not mere exploration or even trade, but conquest and exploitation, for which
he used religion as a rationale (Loewen 45). Columbus completed his most successful task by trusting
in his religion. Most textbooks fail to mention the religious influence that protected Columbus. The
youth never learns of the impact that religion placed on history. They learn of the holy wars and the
corrupt governments, but the healing power of religion is never stressed.
Aar 14-1 Airplane History Paper
Aircraft and Flight History AAR 14 01 was published by the National Transportation Safety
Board (NTSB) on June 24th 2014. It is the Aircraft accident report for Asiana Airlines flight 214,
from Inchon, South Korea to San Francisco, California. The flight was scheduled to be a 10 hour
and 34 minute flight across the Pacific Ocean. However, the flight ended short of the runway and
impacted the sea wall at the end of runway 28L, destroying the aircraft. Flight 214 was a Boeing
777 200ER, powered by two Pratt and Whitney PW4090 engines that had accumulated over 37,000
hours in its 7 year service after being initially placed into service on March of 2006. Prior to this

The NTSB noted that the commander placed an officer in charge of the fire attack that had not
received proper training. The crew had equipment that had not been utilized to its fullest potential,
particularly the high reach extendable turrets. The airport also failed to deploy its two emergency
medical busses to the scene. There was also an apparent communications break down. The NTSB
also noted that there was a lack of communication between the SFO airport rescue crew and local
city dispatchers, hampering rescue efforts by local agencies. CRM Factors There were several
factors that relate to Crew Resource Management (CRM). Notably the inability of the crew to
maintain their situational awareness during the approach. The crew became so task saturated in the
approach glide path that they ignored the throttle settings until it was too late to recover. Failure to
monitor their airspeed, while focusing on the approach path contributed as well. Fatigue of the crew,
and mismanagement of their afforded rest periods also contributed to the incident. The most rested
member in the flight station was the pilot monitoring with 3 hours of sleep in the previous 24
Point Guard Research Paper
In basketball, the point guard is the ball carrier. They need to avoid getting the ball stolen from
them by defenders, and run the plays that may or may not lead to a score by the end of the
possession. The three main fitness components that are required for a basketball point guard would
be agility, co ordination and aerobic capacity, and the most dominate fitness system would be aerobic
system.
The first fitness component required by a point guard is agility. The definition of agility is the
ability of the body to remain balanced whilst changing directions. As a point guard, the opposing
teams defends will be pressuring you, attempting to make you throw a bad pass, or to create an
opening to steal the ball from you. This component is heavily linked with co ordination. If you as
a ball carrier cannot dribble out of situation in which you are trapped, or pass out, then you aren t
even a half decent point guard. As a point guard, you will also need to be able to move off the ball.
Without agility, you won t be able to cut off ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If during the game, your steal the ball, your opponent steals the ball or a fast break occurs, you will
need the CP system to be ready to go. The lactic acid system is also required, but it is the least
needed for a basketball player. There are few circumstances in which this fitness system is required.
Following a fast break, the opposing team returns the ball into play, and normal play style follows
suit. Unless it is late game, with a very close score, teams don t usually throw the ball in, sprint
down and score, only for the other team to do the exact same thing. Unless a fast break occurs, but
the other team stops the fast break and starts their own fast break, and then that process continues a
number of times, you re not going to be running at high speed for long periods of

Self Evaluation Research Paper
Self Evaluation Since I had the opportunity to record my speech, I was able to point out the
strengths and opportunities for improvement more easily. One of my strengths is that I managed to
speak at a normal pace. I tend to speak faster than usual when I am nervous because I want to finish
in the shortest amount of time possible. In this speech, I was able to maintain a normal talking speed
which helped to make my speech more listenable. I also used stimulus through my hand motions. It
was not overbearing which can often happen but it was enough to make the delivery of my speech a
better one. An opportunity for improvement that turned into a strength was the pause in my speech, I
forgot what I was originally going to say but, I managed to
Compare And Contrast Essay On Hillary Cinton
The two canadities I picked are Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush. Hillary Cinton is a Democrat who is
running for president. Some of her strengths are she has nearly one hundred percent name
recogntition. She also has a built in base of support among working class women. Her strongest
supporters are working class women. Other strong supporters are people who were big fans of Bill
Clintonwhen he was in office. Some weakness she has iss trying to appeal to the coalition of
blacks and young college educated white voters who supported obama. She also declared her
presidency in 2007 but was defeated by Barrack Obama. She also needs to be able to represent the
future and not the past. Also she s a trained attorney; former secretary of State in the Obama
administration; former senator from New York; and former... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Ever since she announced that she is running she has kept quiet not saying much. This may be a
very good stratagie. Her campaign strategy seems to be a lot more laid back. She seems to have
more self effacing humor. I think that she has a very good likelihood of winning. She is very well
known and is doing really good in the polls.
The second candidate I choose was Jeb Bush. Jeb Bush, the former governor of Florida, has
announced he is entering the race for the Republican presidential nomination. A lot of his
supporters will be from right of center republicans. Another group that will be major support will
be the concervatives who are concerned with choosing a nomine that is electable. Republicans are
ready to be back in office. He really needs to win over these states:Iowa, New Hampshire, South
Carolina or Nevada. He also has money and can afford to put ads on telvison and other types of way
to promote his campaighn. Also more than any other Republican candidate, Mr. Bush is running a
campaign more toward the

A Study On Gas Exchange Essay
Gas Exchange is a biological delivery of oxygen from the air or water to the bloodstream or cells
in the bodies of mammals, fish or insects while also getting rid of carbon dioxide. To make a good
gas exchange systems the system itself must have: a large surface area and be thin and moist, it must
allow gases to pass through also known as being permeable and the exchange system must have its
own system for sustaining extreme concentration gradients (to keep oxygenand carbon dioxideat the
right levels).
1
Mammals are warm bloodied animals that have a distinctive back bone and are known as
vertebrates . Most mammals have fur, and the female mammals produce milk to feed their young,
and almost always give birth to their offspring. They use lungs for their gas exchange system in
order to get oxygen into their bodies and carbon dioxide out. Fish however are cold blooded and don
t have any limbs, they can also are defined as vertebrates and use gills to get oxygen into their
bodies and carbon dioxide out. They also live their lives in water. Insects are known as arthropods
and have an exoskeleton that most commonly has six legs and one to two sets of wings. They use
multiple small tubes called tracheae to get oxygen into their bodies and carbon dioxide out.
Fish:
Fish live in water so there is no chance of the gas exchange system desiccating like there is with
insects and mammals. Because of this the gas exchange system is located on the outside of the body,
unlike with
