Why did you choose these topics?

1. “Ethical Dilemmas in Client Interaction: How Office Employees Respond in the

Congressional Satellite Office of Gumaca, Lopez, and Calauag, Quezon”
- As students studying office administration, we decided to investigate the ethical
dilemmas that employees face in the Congressional Satellite Offices of Calauag, Lopez,
and Gumaca in Quezon. This topic helps us understand how complex public service can
be and how important it is for staff to make ethical decisions. It is especially relevant
because sometimes following strict rules might conflict with what the people, especially
those in need, require. By exploring these issues, we want to build a better understanding
of how to manage offices effectively and how ethics play a role in providing fair and
helpful service. This knowledge will also prepare us to handle similar situations when we
start working in the future.

2. “Challenges and Strategies for Employee Retention in the Administrative Industry of

Lopez, Quezon: A Quantitative Analysis”
- As office administration students, we chose to examine the challenges and strategies for
employee retention in the administrative industry of Lopez, Quezon, due to the
significant research gap regarding localized factors influencing turnover in this sector.
Despite the high turnover rates in the Philippines, existing studies often overlook the
unique socio-economic and cultural dynamics affecting administrative employees in
Lopez. By focusing on this topic, we aim to provide a quantitative analysis that addresses
these specific challenges, offering evidence-based recommendations to enhance retention
strategies. This research not only contributes to the academic discourse but also equips us
with practical insights to improve workplace environments in our future careers.

3. A Quantitative Analysis of Transformational Leadership and Intrinsic Motivation

Among Administrative Staff of Local Government Units in Lucena City.
- As office administration students, we chose to investigate the relationship between
transformational leadership and intrinsic motivation among administrative staff in Lucena
City's Local Government Unit (LGU) due to a significant research gap in understanding
how this leadership style can be effectively applied within the Philippine public
administration context. Existing studies predominantly focus on Western corporate
environments, leaving local government units with outdated, compliance-driven
management practices that fail to engage and motivate staff. By conducting this
quantitative analysis, we aim to provide context-specific insights that can inform
leadership strategies, enhance employee motivation, and improve public service
efficiency in Lucena. This research not only addresses a critical issue in local governance
but also equips us with the knowledge to foster effective leadership in our future careers.

4. The Impact of the Administrative Work Environment on Job Performance: A Study

Among Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office Employees in Quezon
Province
- As office administration students, we selected this topic to investigate the impact of the
administrative work environment on job performance among employees in the Provincial
Social Welfare and Development Office in Quezon Province due to a significant research
gap in understanding how sector-specific factors influence performance in administrative
settings. Existing literature predominantly focuses on industrial or technology-driven
workplaces, often neglecting the unique challenges faced by administrative roles, such as
rigid hierarchies and inadequate resources. By examining these factors, we aim to provide
empirical evidence that highlights the importance of the administrative work environment
in enhancing job performance, thereby offering actionable insights for improving
workplace policies and practices in public service. This research not only addresses a
critical issue in local governance but also prepares us to implement effective management
strategies in our future careers.
