Body Organs

The parts inside are called organs, each

performing different jobs to keep you alive.
For instance, the heart pumps blood, the
lungs oxygenate it, the liver detoxifies, the
stomach digests food, the kidneys filter
waste, and the intestines absorb nutrients.
These organs work together in organ
systems to maintain overall health and
functionality. The part inside your body is

and brain.
The heart is a special muscle that pumps
blood through your body, a process called
circulation. Every time the heart muscle

squeezes to pump blood, you can feel a
heartbeat. The heart has two sides: the left
side pumps oxygenated blood around the
body, while the right side pumps
deoxygenated blood to the lungs. The heart
must pump blood to deliver oxygen and
nutrients to cells and remove waste
products, ensuring the body’s proper
functioning.Blood is a red liquid that flows
through blood vessels, carrying food and
oxygen to all body parts and removing
waste products. Blood vessels connect the
heart, lungs, and the rest of the body,
forming the circulatory system.
Heartbeat
& pules
The heart beats about 90 times a minute, or 70
times a minute for adults. When you’re active,

your body with food and oxygen. You can

The Lungs &

Breathing

The lungs are essential for breathing, allowing us to

inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide. Located in the
chest and protected by the ribs, the lungs are like
stretchy sponges that fill with air.nswer . When we
breathe in, oxygen from the air moves into the blood
vessels in the lungs. Blood carries the oxygen to the
heart and then to the rest of the body. We need oxygen
to live. As our body uses up oxygen, it produces carbon
dioxide, a waste gas that the body must eliminate. Blood
carries the carbon dioxide back to the lungs, and we
expel it when we breathe out.
