Every Saturday, my family enjoys a special dinner together. We start the meal with a
fresh salad made from crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and crunchy cucumbers. We put
the salad in a large bowl and dress it with olive oil and vinegar.
For the main course, we usually have roasted chicken with a side of rice. The chicken
is seasoned with herbs and cooked until it's tender and juicy. The rice is fluffy and
perfectly cooked. We also make a simple sandwich with slices of bread, cheese, and
chicken, which is a favorite among everyone.
We drink lemonade and orange juice, which are served in tall glasses. For dessert,
there is always a delicious cake or sometimes ice cream. My mother often buys a box
of chocolate to enjoy after the meal, and we also have a few biscuits with our tea.
The table is set with plates, cups, and cutlery. We use a can opener to open the juice

Hi, I’m Emily, and today I’m trying new food with my family at a restaurant. This
restaurant is different because it serves food from another country. I’m a bit nervous
because I’ve never eaten this kind of food before. The menu has many dishes with
names I can’t pronounce, but the pictures look interesting.
My mom suggests that we order a few different dishes to share. I agree, even though
I’m not sure if I’ll like them. The first dish that comes to our table is called
dumplings. They look like small, steamed pockets filled with meat and vegetables.
I’ve never had dumplings before, so I’m a bit unsure. But my dad says they’re
delicious, so I decide to try one. It’s different from what I usually eat, but I actually
like it!
Next, we try a dish called curry. It’s a warm, spicy stew with chicken and vegetables,
served with rice. I don’t usually eat spicy food, but I’m curious. I take a small bite,
and it’s really tasty! The spices are new to me, but they make the food exciting to eat.
Finally, we have a dessert called baklava. It’s a sweet pastry with layers of nuts and
honey. I’ve never had anything like it before. It’s very sweet, but also crunchy and
sticky. I love it!
By the end of the meal, I’m glad I tried these new foods. I realize that trying different
foods, even if they’re not what I’m used to, can be fun and delicious. Now, I want to
explore more foods from different countries, and I encourage you to try new dishes
too. You never know—you might find a new favorite!

**Cook:** Hi everyone! Today, I’m going to show you how to make bread. It’s easy,
and you can do it at home. First, you need to get your ingredients. You will need
flour, water, salt, yeast, and a little bit of sugar.
Now, let’s start! First, take 3 cups of flour and put them in a big bowl. Then, add 1
teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of sugar. Mix it all together. Next, take 1 cup of
warm water and add 1 teaspoon of yeast. Stir it well and let it sit for 5 minutes until it
gets a bit foamy.
After that, pour the water and yeast mixture into the bowl with the flour. Mix
everything until it forms a dough. Then, knead the dough with your hands for about
10 minutes until it’s smooth and soft.
Once your dough is ready, cover the bowl with a clean towel and let it rise in a warm
place for about 1 hour. The dough will get bigger! After an hour, take the dough out
and shape it into a loaf. Put it on a baking tray, and let it rise again for 30 minutes.
Finally, bake your bread in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes, or
until it’s golden brown. Take it out of the oven, let it cool, and enjoy your homemade
bread!

information included in the text.
Read and choose the correct answer A B or C.
Interviewer: Hi, thanks for joining us today! Can you tell us what sport you play and
how you got started?
Sam: Hi! Sure, I play tennis. I started playing when I was 6 years old because my
parents took me to a tennis camp during the summer. I fell in love with the sport right
away. At first, it was just for fun, but as I got better, I started to take it more
seriously. Now, I compete in tournaments, and I’m really focused on improving my
skills.
Interviewer: That’s great! How often do you practice, and what does a typical
training day look like for you?
Sam: I practice almost every day, usually about 6 days a week. My day starts with a
3-hour session on the court, where I work on my techniques, like serving and
returning. After that, I have a fitness training session for about an hour to work on my
strength and stamina. Sometimes, I also spend time watching videos of my matches
to see where I can improve. It's a lot of work, but I enjoy it.
Interviewer: It sounds like you're really dedicated. What do you enjoy most about
being a tennis player, and what challenges do you face?
Sam: I love the competition the most. Playing matches and trying to win is thrilling

on becoming a professional soccer player.
**Sarah:** Wow, Tom, that’s a huge decision! Are you sure about it? What makes
you want to leave school?
**Tom:** I love soccer, and I've been getting better every day. My coach says I

it goes without making a final decision yet.
**Tom:** Yeah, that’s a good idea. I think I’ll talk to my coach and parents about it.

**(speaker: teenager: girl)**
Hey everyone! today, I want to tell you about my friends and the apps they like to
use. We all have different interests, so we end up using a variety of apps. Some of my
friends even use a few different ones, but I'll let you figure out which one is their
favorite.
First, there’s **Sophie**. She’s always busy working on some kind of project.
Sometimes she’s designing something on **Design Master**, and other times she’s
checking out the latest trends on **Style Studio**. But when it comes to picking just
one, she’s definitely more into getting fashion tips and ideas for her outfits. She can
spend hours scrolling through looks and planning her next outfit.
Then there’s **James**. He loves to create, whether it’s designing a cool poster on
**Design Master** or editing a video on **VidVibe**. He’s tried them all, but
there’s one app he can’t get enough of. Even though he makes some fun videos, he’s
really passionate about his digital art and spends most of his time working on new
designs.
**Ryan** is our resident gamer. He’s the kind of guy who likes a bit of everything.
He’s always up for a challenge in **Battle Quest** and also likes watching gaming
videos on **ChatterBox**. But if I had to guess, I’d say he’s most likely to be
playing his favorite game late into the night rather than chatting about it.
**Lily** is super social. She’s all about keeping up with what’s happening, whether
it’s through **ChatterBox** or **Event Planner**. She’s also into fashion, so
sometimes she checks out **Style Studio** for inspiration. But really, her phone is
buzzing all day because she’s constantly chatting, posting, and scrolling through her
social media feed.
Finally, there’s **Ella**. She’s creative like James, but in a different way. She’s tried
**Design Master** and she’s interested in **Science World**, but when it comes
down to it, she’s always making and editing videos. **VidVibe** is where she really
shines, spending hours perfecting her clips before sharing them with us.
So, those are my friends and the apps they like to use. Can you figure out which app
is each person’s favorite?

Agatha went on a camping trip in the mountains with her family last summer. They
set up tents near a beautiful lake and spent a week surrounded by nature. During the
day, Agatha enjoyed hiking through the forest, watching birds, and exploring the
trails. At night, they sat around the campfire, telling stories and roasting
marshmallows. Agatha loved sleeping in a tent and waking up to the sound of birds
singing.
Liam spent his holiday at the beach, but it wasn’t just for fun. He joined a group that
was cleaning up the shoreline. Every day, Liam and the other volunteers picked up
trash and plastic to help protect the ocean and the animals that live there. He also
learned about recycling and how important it is to take care of the environment. In
the afternoons, after the clean-up, he got to swim in the ocean and relax on the sand,
feeling good about the work he had done.
Sharon's holiday was all about helping the planet. She joined a group of teenagers
who spent a week planting trees in a forest. They worked hard digging holes, planting
saplings, and watering the young trees. Sharon felt proud knowing she was helping to
create a better environment for the future. After the work was done each day, the
group would have picnics in the forest and play games in the open fields. Sharon
loved spending time in nature and making new friends who cared about the
environment like she did.

Cambridge KEY Reading: Part 3
Read the text and choose the correct answer A, B, or C.
Hi everyone! I’m here to explain why it’s super important to exercise different parts
of your body. Our bodies have many muscles, and each one has a specific job. If you
only focus on one area, like just your arms or legs, the other muscles can become
weak. This can make your body unbalanced, and you might not be able to do certain
activities well. For example, if you only work on your arms, your legs might not be
strong enough to support you in sports like soccer or basketball. Also, when you
exercise all parts of your body, you help prevent injuries because your body moves
better and can handle more stress. Plus, it keeps your workouts more interesting,
which makes it easier to stay motivated. By working on different muscles, like your
core, legs, and arms, you’ll feel stronger and healthier overall. So, remember to mix
up your exercises to get the most out of your workouts!
1. Why is it important to exercise different parts of the body?
A) To make all your muscles strong
B) To get tired quickly
C) To avoid going to the gym
2. What can happen if you only exercise your arms?
A) Your legs might become weak
B) You will become faster
C) Your arms will become shorter
3. What does exercising different parts of your body help prevent?
A) Injuries
B) Better eyesight
C) Sore muscles
4. Why is it good to keep your workouts interesting?
A) To stay motivated and have fun
B) To get bored easily
C) To avoid sweating
5. What is an example of an activity that needs both strong arms and legs?
A) Running
B) Sleeping
C) Reading

Hey friend!
I hope you’re doing well! I’ve been thinking about trying something new and wanted

hunting? It’s kind of like a mix between a scavenger hunt and orienteering, where we
explore the city to find hidden “treasures” that other people have left behind. I think it
could be a lot of fun and a cool way to discover new places around town.
What do you think? Maybe we can meet at the park this weekend to start our first

Cambridge KEY Speaking: Part 2, 2nd Phase
Referring to the previous part of your Speaking test, answer these questions about
your preferences. Be ready to briefly talk to your partner about your opinion.
Do you prefer to stay at home and relax or go out at the weekend?
Where do you like to meet up with your friends?
Do you like eating at restaurants? What is your favorite at the moment?
TRACK 33 Cambridge KEY Listening: Part 5
Listen to the speaker discussing his friends' favourite weekend activities. Then
match the person (A-E) with the correct activity (1-7). There are 2 items that
you don't need to use.
a. Ben 1. reading books
b. Melody 2. going dancing
c. Sophia 3. watching TV series
d. Noah 4. playing beach volley
e. Ethan 5. going skating
6. playing videogames
7. doing magic tricks
So, my friends and I have pretty different ideas of what we like to do on the
weekends. Let me tell you a bit about each of them.
First, there’s Ben. He’s into all kinds of outdoor stuff. You can usually find him at the
skate park, practicing his tricks. He’s also pretty competitive when we play beach
volleyball together, but I think skating is his real thing. He always talks about getting
better and learning new moves. It’s definitely what he enjoys the most.
Then there’s Melody. She’s totally into books. I mean, she reads more than anyone I
know. Not only does she read, but she also writes these super detailed reviews of
every book she finishes. Sometimes, she’ll even share them with us. She likes
watching shows, too, especially with the group, but reading and writing about books
is what really gets her excited.
Now, Sophia is a little different. She’s all about TV series. Like, she’s watched more
shows than anyone I know. She skates sometimes with Liam, but it’s clear that binge-
watching and chatting about shows is more her thing. What’s cool is that she doesn’t
just watch them—she loves to analyze and discuss every episode with us.
Noah He likes playing video games with us when we hang out, but it’s more like a
way to chill when we can’t get outside. He is really our volleyball guy. He’s always
the first to organize a game when the weather’s good. He’ll drag all of us out to the
sand, and honestly, we all have fun, but it’s clear that volleyball is his favorite.
Finally, there’s Ethan. He’s super into video games. He’ll play volleyball with Noah
and the rest of us, but really, he’d rather stay in and play games, especially when
there’s a new one out. Most weekends, we end up at his house, playing whatever
game he’s into at the moment. It’s kind of our usual thing.
So yeah, we’ve all got different favorites, but that’s what makes our weekends
interesting!

2. Try to _________ why you are anxious by writing your thoughts down.
3. Walk about __________ minutes while listening to music.
4. Use _________________ app for meditation and relaxing audios.
5. Use the app ______________.
Script
**Emma**:
When I feel anxious, I have a few things that help me calm down. First, I always try
to *breathe slowly*. I take deep breaths in and out, about five times. It really helps
me feel better right away.
Next, I *write down my thoughts* in a notebook. I usually write for five or ten
minutes, and I try to be honest about how I feel. This helps me understand why I’m
anxious.
After that, I *go for a walk* outside. I like to walk for 20 minutes and listen to music.
I can walk for 40 or 50 minutes without feeling tired, but it's not necessary: 20 is
enough. Being outside and moving makes me feel less stressed.
Finally, I sometimes use a self-help app called *CalmSpace*. It's written C A L M S
P A C E. It has guided meditations and relaxing sounds. I'm always using apps during
my day, to help me with homework or talk to my friends; I generally log in to those
during the afternoon or after dinner; but I use the self-help app before bed or
whenever I feel really anxious. It helps me a lot.
