Internship Project

Internship Objectives:
1. To involve students in identifying and understanding the industry-oriented problem(s)
and encourage them to contribute real-time solutions.
2. To give participants an insight into practical aspects of professional work life and gain a
deeper understanding of specific functional areas.
3. To explore career opportunities in the area of student’s interest while gaining hands-on
experience in a corporate environment.
4. To assist the student’s development of employer-valued skills such as teamwork,
learning ability & workplace behavior.
5. To provide students an industrial exposure and encourage them to create a professional
network resulting in future employment opportunities.
6. To help participants develop an appreciation for the linkages among different functions
and develop a realistic managerial perspective about organizations in their totality.

Guidelines:
1. A student must complete his/her internship as a ‘Summer Internship Project’ for a
minimum period of 7 weeks (or 45 working days).
2. The student has to undertake the project individually. Joint Projects are not allowed in
any case. SIP Report is to be submitted by every individual student separately.
3. Students are required to work with an organization for hands-on experience during the
semester gap between Semester II and Semester III.
4. A student shall be required to select a topic from his specialization domain for research-
oriented study while consulting with an internal faculty guide and company guide
(optional).
5. All the students have to prepare and submit a written project at the end of the internship.
6. The student should ensure that the data and other information used in the study report
are obtained with the permission of the concerned organization. The students should also
behave ethically and honestly within the Company/organization.
7. The report must include a certificate issued by the Institute & a certificate issued by the
company.
8. The Students have to submit one Hard copy and one Soft copy to the organization (if
required). to the university (compulsory) and the guide is optional.
9. Plagiarism of SIP reports should be less than 10%.
10. Page limitation: Minimum 25 & Maximum 60 pages
11. There would be internal Viva – Voce as well as External Viva – Voce for the Summer
Internship Project’ for all the students.
12. Main Cover: - Sky Blue Cover with Black Alphabets (Sample of Cover page text &
design will be provided).
13. 1st Page: - Replication of the main cover.
14. Declaration by the student certifying genuinely of work done/originality of report.
15. Acknowledgement: for those who have provided direct/indirect help in the work
(External/Internal)
16. Charts, Diagrams, Tables, Appendices, and Annexure should be properly headed &
numbered & relevance must be given in the report. References of books, journals, and
reports should be given at last in "References'", as per samples.
