FLACS-Cloud
Run FLACS-CFD simulations on a high-performance computing (HPC) service:
• Pre and postprocessing performed in the local hardware
• Computation is run in the Amazon AWS Cloud
FLACS-Cloud capabilities
• User configurable maximum runtime
• Display cloud usage statistics
• User selection of FLACS-CFD version
• Display CPU/disk quota
• Ability to download entire projects without any local files
Key benefits of the FLACS-Cloud service
• Highly scalable computational capacity and level of security
• No investment in in-house computing equipment required
• Reduced lead time on projects
• Easy to use with existing workflows

cc-file - Runtime simulation
control file
Can be created with CASD or with a text editor.
Can be edited (or created) also during the simulation.
Valid cc-file keywords:

setup-file - Specialized settings
It’s an optional file used to set advanced
user-defined variables
Can be created with CASD or with a text
editor
Key-words are organized in the following
namelists:
• JOBSPEC
• SETUP
• PARAMETERS
The name lists may be entered in any
order or may alternatively be left out
entirely.

CGNS file (ex: [Link]):
• Single file containing 1D results, 3D results and dump snapshots
• The CGNS file is self-contained and can be accessed by Flowis5
• The CGNS file can be manipulated using the following tools:
• Cgnsview: CGNS file viewer and editor based on Tcl/Tk
• cgnsdiff : Compare 2 CGNS files
• cgns to _ *: Export utilities
• Cgnslist: List the contents of a CGNS file.
• Cgnscompress: Compress a CGNS file
• duplicate cgns: split the CGNS file: 1D data, etc

Log file (ex: rt000000.dat3 for windows and tt000000 in Linux):
• Contains output messages from the operating system and the run
For previous FLACS versions output files, run FLACS in the cmd window:
