Course Length: 12 weeks, 60 periods


Course Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the completion of the course, students will be able to
• Plan a presentation by determining audience needs and gathering relevant
information/materials
• Organize the presentation with relevant and logical supporting ideas
• Develop the introduction and conclusion of the presentation
• Apply verbal and non-verbal techniques when delivering a presentation
• Apply visual aids to enhance presentations
• Reduce stress when delivering the presentation
• Effectively handle questions and other problems in and after the presentation
Policies
1. Punctuality
Students are required to come to class on time (7.15 a.m. sharp).
2. Food & Drink
Eating is not allowed in class.
3. Cell phone Uses
Cell phones should be turned off or switched to silent mode.

Grading Scale

Midterm Group presentation (6-8 min./group) 5 pts
30%
Individual presentation 1 (3 min./student) 5 pts
Final Individual presentation 2 (3 min./student) 3 pts
70%
Final Presentation (5 min./student) 7 pts

N.B.: A 10% bonus shall be given to those who contribute to class lectures or peer students’
presentations.
