1. The Provincial Cabinet Decision on the Agenda Item No " 6 " , Case No: 2022/70/AA06", taken in its 70!' Meeting held on

27.04.2022, pertaining to the approvalof the Concurrence of SNC "Core Curriculum"-Progression Grid and "Suggestive Curriculum

Guidelines" (CG) For Grades VI-VIII and lslamiat for Grades IX-X (Phase-II), developed by National Curriculum Council (NCC) at

Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training, Islamabad (MOFE&PT), the minutes thereof circulated vide the Establishment

& Administration Department (CabinetWing), Govt. of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa letter No: SOC (E&AD): 9-70/2022 Dated: 11.05.2022,

conveyed through the Elementary& Secondary Education Department, Govt. of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Peshawar letter No:

SO(BT)E&SE/8-5/DCTE/SNC/2021Nol.ll Dated: 1 2 . 0 5 . 2 0 2 2 .

i. The Provincial Cabinet decision on the Agenda Item No "6", Case No: 2022/70/AA06". taken in its 70! Meeting held on

27 April 2022 pertaining to the approval of the adoption of the Single National Curriculum with modifications/additions

recommended by this Directorate for Notification as SNC "Core Curriculum"-Progression Grid and "Suggestive Curriculum

Guidelines" (CG) 2022 For Grades VI-VIII and lslamiat for Grades IX-X (Phase-II), for all educational institutions in Khyber

Pakhtunkhawa, the Minutes whereof circulated vide the Establishment & Administration Department (CabinetWing), Govt. of

Khyber Pakhtunkhawa letter No: SOC (E&AD): 9-70/2022 Dated: 11.05.2022, conveyed through the E& SEO, Govt. of Khyber

Pakhtunkhawa letter No: SO(BT)E&SE/8-5/DCTE/SNC/2021Nol.ll Dated: 12.05.2022.

ii. Consequently, Mr. Jaffar Mansoor Abbassi, Director Curriculum & Teacher Education (DCTE) Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Abbottabad,

being the Competent Authority under the "Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Supervision of Curricula, Textbooks and Maintenance of

Standards of Education Act. 2011", has been pleased to notify the Eight (08) Subject "Core Curriculum"-Progression Grid

and "Suggestive Curriculum Guidelines" (CG) 2022 For Grades VI-VIII and Islamiat for Grades IX-X (Phase-ll), for Academic

Year 2022-23 onwards:

Grades VI-VIII

1 . English I 2. Urdu ] 3. Mathematics I 4. History

5. Geography I 6. lslamiat ] 7 . General Science I 8. Computer Science

I Grades IX-X ] I s l a m i a t Compulsory

2. All the educational intuitions in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa shall follow the SNC "Core Curriculum"-Progression Grid and "Suggestive

Curriculum Guidelines" (CG) For Grades VI-VIII and lslamiat for Grades IX-X, Textbooks subsequently revised/developed and

duly approved by the Directorate of Curriculum and Teacher Education (DCTE) Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, Abbottabad.

3. The Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Textbook Board shall develop/revise the Textbooks from Grades VI-VIII and lslamiat Compulsory for

Grades IX-X as per SNC "Core Curriculum"-Progression Grid and "Suggestive Curriculum Guidelines" (CG) 2022 For Grades VI­

VIII and lslamiat for Grades IX-X, in the light of existing Rules and Policies.

4. All Publishers shall obtain prior approval/NOC for publishing Textbooks and Supplementary Reading Materials develop/revise

based on the SNC "Core Curriculum"-Progression Grid and "Suggestive Curriculum Guidelines" (CG) For Grades VI-VIII and

lslamiat for Grades IX-X 2022, from DCTE Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Abbottabad for circulation in the educational institutions of Khyber

Pakhtunkhawa and Newly Merged Districts(NMDs).

5. Directorate of Professional Development Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (DPD), Regional Professional Development Centers (RPDCs) of

Khyber Pakhtunkhawa and all Development Partners shall align all of their Training Manuals/Materials with the "Core

Curriculum'-Progression Grid & "Suggestive Curriculum Guidelines" (CG) For Grades VI-VIII and lslamiat for Grades IX-X 2022 and

the Textbooks developed thereof.

6. In case of non-compliance, the institutions/ firms at fault shall be proceeded against under Section (4) of the "Khyber Pakhtunkhawa

Supervision of Curricula, Textbooks and Maintenance of Standards of Education Act. 2011".
