RE: NOTIFICATION OF YOUR EMPLOYMENT/JOB CONTRACT

After verification and certification of details contained in your documents and evaluation of your
submitted online assessment / interview form, it is with great pleasure that we extend to you the
offer to join CNOOC Petroleum Europe Limited UK as IT ENGINEER at a total monthly salary of
£2,987.00 (Two Thousand, Nine Hundred and Eighty-Seven British Pounds Sterling) only, after
tax.

You will be required to participate in our company sponsored induction, trainings,


workshops, cultural integration programmes and seminars to enable you to get acquainted
with the Job scope and work environment upon your arrival to the UK.

You have been requested to join CNOOC Petroleum Europe Limited UK on the 28TH of
OCTOBER, 2025. CNOOC Petroleum Europe Limited UK shall provide maximum of Five (5) flight
tickets. Tickets are for employee and family members during relocation to join us in the UK for
commencement of work in due time, however, employees coming alone should give prior
notification to CNOOC Petroleum Europe Limited UK for single fight ticket and single housing
accommodation arrangement prior to departure.

JOB STATUS:

You shall be expected to enter an initial job engagement contract with CNOOC Petroleum
Europe Limited UK for a minimum duration of THREE (3) years and will be converted/renewed
to full-time service/staff or otherwise upon your satisfactory performance and preference.

Where the Government of the United Kingdom either by legislation or administrative


pronouncement, provides for new and/or additional benefits, including increase in salaries or
directs that such benefits should apply to private sector, CNOOC Petroleum Europe Limited UK
and you shall meet to discuss the new measures.

You shall be entitled to travel and relocation expenses plus travel/ contingencies allowances
of GBP5, 200.00 (Five Thousand and Two Hundred British Pounds Sterling) only and GBP7,
700 (Seven Thousand and Seven Hundred British Pounds Sterling) relocation expenses prior
to your departure to the UK excluding cost of flight ticket as your flight ticket will be arranged
and paid for by our company immediately after you have concluded your necessary UK
Working documentation process. This is part of our service commitment and initial incentives
to encourage our employees who have met our official statuary requirements in line with the
UK labour laws.
Other employment benefits/entitlements include but not limited to:

. FULLY FURNISHED ACCOMMODATION

CNOOC Petroleum Europe Limited UK will provide fully furnished Single / Family housing
accommodation for all foreign employees and shall consist as follows;

A. Single Housing accommodation shall consist of a One (1) Bedroom Flat apartment
(One Bedroom and One Sitting Room plus kitchen) inclusive of parking space for Two
(2) cars, also electronics and furniture including kitchen utensils.

B. The Family Housing accommodation consists of FOUR (4) Bedrooms Flat apartments
(FOUR Bedrooms and Two Sitting Rooms plus kitchen) inclusive of parking space for
FOUR (4) cars, also electronics and furniture including kitchen utensils.

. MEDICAL/DENTAL/OPTICAL CARE FOR EMPLOYEE/FAMILY

This package covers ailments / illness related to Medical, Dental and Optical care for employee
and spouse and Four (4) dependents and the package is also inclusive of reconstruction and
surgical procedures where necessary. Healthcare Services shall be provided through our
company Medical/Health facility saddled with the responsibility of providing quality healthcare
services for all employees and their registered dependents.

. SCHOLARSHIP / EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE

CNOOC Petroleum Europe Limited UK will provide Scholarship/Educational assistance for Four
(4) persons; however, all Four (4) persons must be resident within the UK. This package will cover
Primary, Secondary and Tertiary institutions only and payable at a flat rate as follows;

1. Tertiary Level: ------------------------- £ 25,000.00 Per Academic Year/Per Child


2. Secondary Level: ------------------------- £ 12,000.00 Per Academic Year/Per Child
3. Primary Level: ------------------------- £ 7,000.00 per Academic Year/Per Child
4. Kindergarten: -------------------------------- £ 5,000.00 per Academic Year/Per Child
LIFE / HEALTH INSURANCE POLICY

Life / Health insurance shall cover employee injury, critical illness and deformation (Physical and
Mental) and also death and runs only when employee is under our employment. Details as
follows;

1. Death in Service: Attracts pay-out of up to Four (4) times employee annual salary on
death

2. Critical Illness/Deformation: Attracts pay-out of Three (3) times employee annual salary

The insurance package is claims by case and payable upon occurrences of events.

MOBILITY / OFFICIAL VEHICLE

CNOOC Petroleum Europe Limited UK will provide official vehicle and driver for you and the company
will also be responsible for maintenance and fuelling, however, fuel will be provided weekly at specific
volume. The vehicle will also be under your custody 24/7 for the entire duration of your contract with our
company.

WORK HOURS

The working hours shall be 40 hours working per week; Monday to Friday inclusive. Saturdays,
Sundays and Gazetted public holidays shall be rest days. However, some employees’ who work
on shift may have different work hours and rest days other than Saturdays and Sundays.

SHIFT ALLOWANCE:
CNOOC Petroleum Europe Limited UK shall pay shift allowance of GBP 105.00 only per shift to
employees who work on shift either in the offices or fields.

Presence Weekend (PW), this rule will apply to periods arising from delays in evacuating the field,
location site or office according to the arrangements subsisting between CNOOC Petroleum
Europe Limited UK and the Department in question.

VACATION:

You shall be authorized Three (3) times paid vacation (Not exceeding 21 Working Days) each
year, to be used at your discretion after duly informing and receiving approval from employer’s
management.

Employer will pay for travel expenses (i.e., flight tickets) and flat rate travel allowance of (Eight
Thousand British Pounds Sterling) only.
COMPASSIONATE LEAVE:
In the event of death or serious illness of employees’ father, mother, wife husband or child,
necessitating presence of staff, CNOOC Petroleum Europe Limited UK shall grant compassionate
leave with pay up to a maximum of 12 working days per year.

INTERNATIONALIZATION OF EMPLOYEE:
You shall be given the opportunity for international assignments within the group for the
acquisition of experience and exposure to enhance your competence and not limited to job
engagements as may be required by CNOOC Petroleum Europe Limited UK, as such you shall
also be entitled to benefits on such assignments.

DISCIPLINE:

You are expected to recognize the right of the CNOOC Petroleum Europe Limited UK to discipline
staff for infringement of company regulations; however, the company shall formally discuss with
the employee any disciplinary action to be taken thereafter which may result in suspension,
termination or dismissal.

1. TERMINATION:

In addition, the company reserves the right to terminate the employment of any staff who
flagrantly or repeatedly fails to comply with the company’s code of conduct or commits an
offence of a magnitude that the company considers him unsuitable to be in its employment.

2. SUMMARY DISMISSAL:
In rare cases, an employee may be dismissed for the commission of a grave offence, in which
case no notice is given. Such offences shall include inter-alia.

a) Theft and fraud in connection with company’s business or property. Any staff found
guilty or implicated in any of these offences may be liable to prosecution.

b) Disclosure of confidential information of the company or its associate to a third party.

c) Conviction and/or imprisonment for criminal offence.

The Employee’s High Commission, Embassy/Consulate shall be given benefit of consultation in


any case involving the dismissal of its citizens as such, Employee will also be given the chance of
fair hearing and proper investigation prior to decisions conclusion.

In compliance with the mobilization, advancement & reimbursement policy (MA&RP) of CNOOC
Petroleum Europe Limited UK, you shall be required to incurre all initial expenses as a result of
your documentation & paper work processes/procurement and would be reimbursed in not
more than SEVEN (7) working days upon your submission of invoice receipt or proof of incurred
expenses.
This is for confirmation of readiness and seriousness of employee to join the CNOOC Petroleum
Europe Limited UK team within the stipulated time frame and also based on previous
occurrences experienced by our company from expatriates (Non-UK Resident) employees.

You are to endorse the below CONTRACT ACCEPTANCE FORM and submit back via email if
you accept our terms of employment / contract.
