I. RATIONALE
Disconnected from the world for years, the Philippine Women's College of
Davao (PWC) has never been the same without the students who paint all
corners of the school with fun, competitiveness, talent, and creativity.
Intramurals, a highly anticipated event every school year, was lost to give way
to the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving students utterly focused on their
academics with little to no opportunities to showcase what they can also be
good at—music, sports, the arts, and many more. This is about to change as
the Intramurals is making a return to our beloved Philwomenians.

The theme shall be, "Hugyaw alang sa Hudyaka 2023: Painting

Philwomenians with Colors of Sportsmanship and Solidarity!" and with it, the
PWC Student Government Council - SHS intends to bring out the colors of every
Philwomenian and give them opportunities to showcase the best of them in
our schools. Hudyaka is a Visayan word that translates to "revelry" which
means liveliness and festivities. Thus, it is the goal of the Student Government
Council to bring back the enthusiastic spirit of Philwomenians in this week-long
Intramurals within the PWC Senior High School Community.

II. OBJECTIVES
To help students improve their self-confidence and engage in the digital world;
To promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and camaraderie among students;
To provide opportunities for students to showcase their skills and talents;
To enjoy all the activity with fairness, ethics, respect, and solidarity;
To foster unity and cooperation among the different teams;
To bring back the spirit of physical events to students.

FOR GUARDS
The guarding team can decide who will become the traveler or the person
who can roam all around the rectangle, crosswise or lengthwise, but is still
not allowed to step on any squares. The traveler must wear a special tag
provided by the officials to identify that they are the traveler. The guarding
team can change their traveler in every guarding turn they get.
The Guards can eliminate/tag the Passers who are only within their reach.
However, they must tag the Passers with no foot stepping outside of the
lines.
Their hands must have contact with the passer’s body, and not only on their
garments or hair. Guards must practice safe tagging at all times.

FOR PASSERS
A time limit of three (3) minutes is given to the Passer team to score.
Once a passer successfully crosses all the lines and returns to the base
without being tagged, his or her team earns points.
If a passer is tagged, he or she is “eliminated” and stays back behind the
starting point. The eliminated player either waits for his or her next turn to
pass or wait until all members of the passers’ team are eliminated. If
eliminated, the passer should exit the rectangle safely with their hands up
Once all the passers are “eliminated”, or everyone is finished passing
through the rectangle back-and-forth, or the time limit is up, their team
becomes the Guards. And the game continues with the two teams
exchanging roles.
There will be 5 participants per team.

HOW TO EARN POINTS
If the player successfully passes the crosswise lines in returning (from the
Exit Point) to the Starting Point, he earns:
2 points = at the fourth line
3 points = at the third and second lines
5 points = at the first line
The game will last for 3 rounds with both teams having 3 chances to
become the guards and 3 chances to become the passers.
In every finished round, teams will be given one (1) minute to drink water,
re-strategize, and talk with their teammates before proceeding to the next
round whose passers and guards will again be determined by a coin toss.
The total numbers scored in each round will be allocated, and the team

The game requires three (3) players each team.

The game is played by a player holding a “takyan”, then kicking it up in the

minutes to play and should get as many points as possible within the given
time.
Upon the signal of the referee, the first player will throw the takyan onto the
air, kicking it, and keeping it off the ground.
The hands and arms cannot be used to touch the takyan after the first kick.
The players’ feet may be swapped to kick.
If the takyan falls on the ground, the next teamate may pick it up and start
again, continuing to add to the score. This continues until the 3 minute

JACKSTONE
There should be only one (1) representative/player each team.
This game will consist of 3 rounds
ROUND ONE: THE BASIC
Just like the popular steps, the player should bounce the ball and get a
stone. Before the ball touches the ground for the second time, the player
should be able to catch it. This process continues until the player collects
all the 5 stones.
ROUND TWO: KNOCK THE STONES
In this round, it is still the same on the first round but with a twist. The
player should be able to collect the stone and knock it once on the
surface and wait till the ball bounces again before catching it.
ROUND THREE:
In the last round, here is where the game becomes complicated. It is just
the same in the first round where the player needs to get a stone, but the
player needs to throw the stones he/she got together with the ball and
catch it at the same time.
If the player fails to get a stone or catch the ball, he/she is automatically
eliminated.
