Dear Mr Clacson Ghong
Welcome to the ICE
Thank you for applying for ICE Student Membership online. Your online application has been approved and you are now a Student
Member!
Your membership number is 93968186 – we ask that you keep this number with you at all times and quote it in any future
correspondence with ICE.
As part of ICE’s ongoing strategy to reduce paper and increase its online service offering, you will have a digital membership. This
means that you will not receive any paper from us regarding your membership – all correspondence (including membership renewal
notices) will be sent electronically to the email address you have supplied. Please keep your email address up to date to ensure we
can keep you updated with the latest Institution news!
To start making the most of your membership and access ICE’s online services, you will need to log-in to MyICE [Link]/my-
ice - the private extranet for ICE members.
In MyICE you can:
Keep in touch: Amend your postal details, keep your email address and phone numbers up to date, and request a
membership card. You can also change your PIN to make it something more memorable
Keep up-to-date with ICE activities: ICE publishes reports, including the Salary Survey, which are available for viewing. You
can also view the ICE member guide
Keep up-to-date with industry developments: Subscribe to new magazines and journals - this facility is available
throughout the year
Keep informed: View your journals online. You can also view abstracts and full editions of any ICE proceedings you subscribe
to
Keep engaged: Update your interests and membership profile. You can inform ICE of your areas of professional interest,
inform us of your area of work/employment type and make your CPD declaration
Keep in touch with your region: Opt in to become an 'honorary' member of another region. Your mailing address
determines your ICE regional membership, but you can choose to receive information from any other region - especially useful
if you live, study and work in different regions
Keep in touch with colleagues: Register with MyICE Network - opt in to a service where you can search and contact other
members who have the same interests as you
Pay for any subscriptions owing: Payment can be made securely online using either a direct debit facility, or valid credit or
debit card
Get help with your civil engineering questions: Receive a reply within 24 hours on any civil engineering topic with
AskBrunel!
As a student member you will also benefit from:
Free access to and loans from ICE's Library, one of the worlds most comprehensive civil engineering libraries at
[Link]

information to ensure you're kept up to date

For a full summary of all the membership benefits and what the Institution can offer you, please have a look through our Member
Guide – available for viewing in MyICE.
The academic qualification you have selected in your application will meet the educational base requirements for future admission
as a Member of ICE (MICE) without registration with the Engineering Council, on completion. The course that you are currently
studying will not automatically meet the academic base requirements for registration with the Engineering Council as a Chartered
(CEng) or Incorporated (IEng) Engineer on completion. If you wish to progress to CEng or IEng registration in the future, you will need
to apply for an academic assessment after you complete your course.
Once you have completed your academic studies, please go to [Link] to find
out how you can progress your career and move to the next stage of becoming a professionally qualified engineer.
If you change your course of study, please inform us via phone or email so that we can update your membership record.
Do not re-apply for student membership as this will create a delay in the system.
Should you have any queries regarding the status of your membership, please contact us on +44 207 665 2211 or

Good luck with your studies!
Yours sincerely,
ICE Education Learning & Assesment Team
