Fire Extinguisher(s)
Have the fire extinguisher(s) serviced and tagged by a certified agency. This shall be done on an annual basis.
To minimize the risk of inadequate performance due to improper or lack of maintenance, it is required that extinguishers are
tested annually. Have the extinguishers in the building serviced by a certified agency and provide this office with copies of the
service reports.
In accordance with NFC(AE), 2019, Div. B, [Link].(1) and NFPA 10

Extinguisher has not been wall mounted
To ensure that extinguishers are readily available for use during an emergency fire situation, all extinguishers are required to
be wall mounted using proper brackets. Ensure that all extinguishers are mounted and are accessible at all times.
In accordance with NFC(AE), 2019, Div. B, [Link].(2) and NFPA 10
Non-compliance may result in a fee for service for every additional re-inspection as per City of Edmonton Fire Rescue
Services Bylaw.
Non-compliance may also result in further action taken as per the Alberta Safety Codes Act. If you require further

Edmonton Fire Rescue Services assumes no responsibility for this facility. The National Fire Code - 2019 Alberta Edition,
Division 'C', Sentence [Link].(1) states, "Unless otherwise specified, the owner or the owner's authorized agent shall be
responsible for carrying out the provisions of this Code".
