1. Meaning / Definition
The Present Perfect Tense talks about something that happened in the past, but it is important now or has a
result now.
2. Usage / When do we use it?
We use the present perfect tense:
1. For actions that happened at an unknown time in the past. -> I have visited London.
2. For actions that just happened. -> She has just eaten lunch.
3. For actions that started in the past and are still happening. -> They have lived here for 5 years.
3. Structure
[Subject] + have/has + past participle (V3)
- I/You/We/They + have + V3
- He/She/It + has + V3
