EARTHQUAKE ALARM SYSTEM
ABSTRACT
Earthquakes are sudden and unpredictable natural disasters that can cause
extensive damage to life and property. An Earthquake Alarm system is
designed to detect early seismic vibrations and provide timely alerts to people in
affected areas. The system typically uses sensors such as accelerometers or
seismometers to monitor ground motion. When vibrations exceed a predefined
threshold, the system triggers an alarm—audible, visual, or both—allowing
people to evacuate or take protective measures before severe shaking occurs.
This early-warning mechanism reduces injuries, saves lives, and minimizes
panic. The design is suitable for homes, schools, offices, and industrial
environments, providing a cost-effective and reliable solution for earthquake
preparedness.
