### 🌱 What is Photosynthesis?

* Photosynthesis is the process by which **green plants make their own food**.

* It takes place in the **leaves** of plants, inside the **chloroplasts**.

* The green pigment **chlorophyll** helps capture sunlight.

### The Equation of Photosynthesis

### 🌞 Factors Needed for Photosynthesis

1. **Sunlight** – provides energy.

2. **Chlorophyll** – captures light.

3. **Water** – absorbed by roots.

4. **Carbon dioxide** – taken in through leaf stomata.


### 🍃 Importance of Photosynthesis

* Produces **food (glucose)** for plants.

* Releases **oxygen** for animals and humans.

* Maintains the **balance of CO₂ and O₂** in the atmosphere.

* Forms the base of the **food chain**.
