MAHARISHI VIDYA MANDIR SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL

FEBRUARY - '25 TO AUGUST - '25 ISSUE 27

“Whatever we put our attention on will grow stronger in our life” – Maharishi ji
It is a time of celebration and joy as the academic year 2024-25 has brought us many achievements in various
events, including the academic results of the board exams, the CM Trophy (sports), Cluster Competitions (sports), and
Individual Championships. However, we must now focus on the upcoming year 2025-26, which we aim to make even
more successful by breaking our own records.
Our students contribute to a joyful atmosphere and are exceptional learners. Their education goes beyond subjects;
it encompasses important life lessons. The support we receive from alumni, parents, and the community is truly
remarkable.
One thought-provoking question I encountered this week was posed by a disciple to his master: "Can one man
change the world?" The wise response was that a single small seed can grow into a banyan tree. At MVM, we are planting
these seeds to cultivate countless banyan trees that will help preserve our cultural traditions, value systems, and much
more.
Our educational journey is not just about the physical path we take through life but also about nurturing the minds
of our children. We teach Transcendental Meditation (TM) to students from classes 6 to 12, and nine of our teachers are
on their journey to becoming TM initiators (teachers).
What else could be success?
Seeking the blessings of our GuruDev & Maharishi ji

Dear Friends,

Today is a landmark day. The American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, and American Medical
Association released their 2025 guidelines for the treatment of high blood pressure (HBP) in adults.

National practice guidelines recommend Transcendental Meditation as an evidence-based lifestyle modification to

lower blood pressure and prevent cardiovascular events and mortality.

The joint committee concluded that TM has the strongest and most consistent body of scientific evidence among
stress-reducing methods for high blood pressure.

Accordingly, it was the only meditation technique singled out for recommendation. Other approaches, such as device-
guided breathing and yoga, were included but noted to have lower levels of supporting evidence.

This is an official national policy guideline for medical providers. Here are the summaries and excerpts from the full
report.
