Roles and Responsibilities:


• Conduct trainings, TBT, and safety campaigns to educate employees, workers and
contractors to make sure they perform their job in a safe manner, minimize risk, and avoid
accidents. Conduct safety orientation for workers and visitors. While training make sure direct
eye contact to the employees and get their feedback and suggestions and document the
meetings.
• Prepares and submits reports concerning building conditions and hazards, incidents,
accidents, spills, injuries, thefts, and the presence of unauthorized visitors. Taking part, conduct
& assist accident investigation.
• Make sure all welfare facilities are provided and in good condition. Resting and Eating
shelters, Drinking water stations, Toilets, smoking areas etc.
• Maintain good communication with various people, contractors, clients, subcontractors,
and workers. Check for necessary signage’s in site, resting areas, permit box, necessary
documents and certificates.
• Make sure appropriate resources, tools, and trainings are provided to employees and
aware contractors using Health Safety & Environmental hazard & risk and exposure to chemicals.
• Make sure safe access and routs are provided everywhere inside site. One-way traffic for
frequent trucks, control the traffic, check for diversion plans, place signage’s for advance warning
areas.
• Make sure medical points are identified at site. Availability of emergency medical
services and availability of First Aid Box (& first aider) with each crew at different work locations.
• Check proper PPEs are provided and employees are not failing to use it. Make sure
special PPEs are provided and are in good condition (e.g., Respiratory equipment, FBSH, Face
Shield, Dust Mask etc.,)

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Correct unsafe conditions as reported.
• Conducting toolbox meeting on daily basis in the premises.
• Prepare JSA for every new job commencing at the site.
• Making and filling checklists for all the equipment and vehicles arrived at site to ensure the
absolute safety.
• Ensure that all workers follow the work permit procedure.
• Conduct daily and weekly safety meetings.
• Check PPE of site employees to make sure they are in good condition, and readily available to
employees, if not communicate to supervisors to provide full PPP's to employees before job
commences.
• Performing inspection of elevated work location to make sure no fall hazards are there and as
well as ensure hundred percent fire containment by fire blanket for hot work welding, grinding
and Gas cutting etc.
• Attend job progress, safety co- ordination meeting with client safety officials.
• Put necessary safety precautions before starting any job.
• Recording and analysis of information of injury, damage and production loss or damage to
property.
• Control all employees and perform inspections for safety and give instructions regarding health
and safety.
• To increase health and safety awareness at all levels within the organization and encourage
workers to comply with safety rules and regulations onsite by giving them rewards as best
safety man of the month or year or financial awards to encourage behavioral safety.
• Daily progress report given to Safety Supervisor or Safety Manager.
• Conducting training of basic orientation, fall protection, confined space entry, hole watch and
permit receivers.
• Checking hot work permit, cold work permit, electric work permit, confined space entry permit,
release of hazardous gases permit, elevated work permit, excavation permit, and vehicle entry
permit. Conduct of job safety analysis and hazards identifications. • To educate the supervisors
and workers to follow safe working practices.
• To arrange for Occupational Health and Safety testing and/or evaluations of the workplace by
external agencies/consultants as may be necessary.
• To coordinate the training of personnel in areas of safety, including first aid, accident
prevention and investigation, work place inspections and other matters related to
implementing safety procedures.
• To liaise with the fire department regarding emergency procedures, communications and fire
safety training programs.
• Organize, monitor and co- ordinate safety awareness programs, loss prevention programs at
site.
• Reporting unsafe conditions to Forman, Supervisor or Management.
• Inspection of necessary work permits prior to beginning the job.
